Sorasaki Hina Needs A Friend

Chapter 5: Yutori Natsu

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

“Hmhm, I am Yutori Natsu, of the After-School Sweets Club, and I think that Miss Hina is a very respectable member of society, a beacon of light all of us should aspire to work towards, and that the impact she has on Gehenna cannot be measured by any measurement except, of course, in the number of crimes she has stopped, but how are we to measure something so fleeting like the breeze of summer? Yes, the Head Prefect is a title, but how many people are worthy of a title with such awesome power behind it? To wield such power requires great responsibility, and Miss Hina has definitely shown herself to be responsible a million times over, and deserving of such power. And for such a person to accept this responsibility and this power, yes, what I think of Hina is that she is a great person! A person who could lead Kivotos; nay, the world into a greater era! A person who would ensure everyone will be able to get a limited edition black forest cake from that high end shop on Jamrock Street without having to queue for hours while watching it get scalped!”

gurblgle

“You wouldn’t happen to have any snacks, would you?”

Fall is here, hear the yell

Back to school, ring the bell

Brand new shoes, walking blues

Climb the fence, books and pens

I can tell that we are gonna be friends

I can tell that we are gonna be friends

“...You know, that may be the longest intro we’ve had so far.”

“Oh? Didn’t you have that person, uh, Makoso or something on before? That was a pretty long intro.”

“Makoto, and twice. It was a… very long recording session, and I think my blood pressure rose by a few hundred levels after each time.”

“Ah, I see. Even the great Head Prefect of Gehenna has her troubles, hm?”

“I wouldn’t call myself great in any way… I’m just the person with the power to keep Gehenna in check.”

“And you could’ve used that power for nefarious purposes, yet you chose to use it to help people in a thankless job! That’s the mark of a great person.”

“...Thank you.”

“No need. It just reminds me of this person I know…”

“Oh? Who?”

“Come closer, Hina, I need to- I gotta lean in to whisper this to you.”

“We’re recording?.... Hang on, I just gotta-”

“Ow. That microphone is pretty sharp-”

“You’re poking my horns, Natsu.”

“Oops. Ok, I got it. Now, have you heard of the Tragedy of Cath Palug?”

“No.”

“Cath Palug was a delinquent, so powerful and cunning that she could even obtain limited edition macarons from scalpers for free. She had such a knowledge of Trinity and its passages, that she could even keep the Justice Task Force away from her. The underground of Trinity is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. She became so powerful… the only thing she feared was the loneliness of being the strongest, which eventually, of course, she felt. Unfortunately…”

“Unfortunately?”

“Well, the original went unfortunately, he died, but Cath Palug is still around. In fact, she’s standing in front of the window to the studio right now.”

NATSU! I’LL KILL YOU!

Natsu-chan! Run away! We can’t keep her back for much longer!

“That’s my cue to leave. If you’re ever in Trinity, Miss Hina, feel free to come to the club room. We always have snacks.”

AIRI! YOSHIMI! LET ME GO! IF YOU DON’T LET ME GO, HOW WILL I KILL HER?!

Natsu, RUN FASTER!”

Notes:

This side project has been lacking... have a new chapter. I envision this story as being a multi-length podcast in-world, that has become stunning popular due to the combination of oddball guests, Hina's cuteness and the shenanigans Kivotos's residents bring everywhere they go.

"Where the hell did she go?!"
"Now, lets just relax, Kazusa-cha-"
"She just used that name in a podcast millions listen to, Airi. I will KILL her."

"We could edit that out though..."
