Stay

Summary:

Sylvie was brave, no doubt. But not brave enough to ask anyone to stay.

(Drabble about Sylvie's trauma-informed mindset and the consequences of it. Implied Sylki; open-to-interpretation Sylkius.)

Notes:

(See the end of the work for notes.)

Work Text:

Sylvie refused to show any weakness.

Turning down help from strangers while on the run.

Attempting nonchalance in regards to Loki’s presence, especially when she was about to enter the citadel.

Though she didn’t remember it, asking Loki what he wanted at the bar, too scared to voice her own desires.

Putting on a brave face for Mobius after Loki left. Even though he was the only one who might understand her pain, a part of her still saw him as the one plotting her downfall.

Sylvie was brave, no doubt. But not brave enough to ask anyone to stay.

Notes:

Idk if I should add this to the mental health series or not. It's not as personal as the others I've written but there are times when I'm too scared to voice my desires and end up sad about not getting what I want. (Not to the level of Sylvie though lol.)

EDIT: I'm adding it because I wrote this at a time when I was sad and it did help. Sometimes when I'm upset I act in ways that are destructive to myself or others (I know "destructive" is a scary word but don't worry!) so this counts as helping with mental health in a way I suppose.
