Work Text:
It was just the two of them in the dorm when Yang planted herself on the couch opposite the desk where Blake was studying.
Or, more accurately, had been studying. It was hard to focus on the (bullshit, propaganda) history book when Yang had decided to put on what Blake mentally called The Outfit.
The Outfit was a short black skirt over yellow tights, yellow high heels, and a yellow and black tank top/sweater combo that strategically showed off Yang's shoulders. It was not as elaborate as some of her other outfits, but something about just short-circuited Blake's brain.
"It's a Friday, we don't have anything until next week, you're going clubbing with me," Yang said. She was doing something complicated with her hair that coincidentally showed off her arms.
"Do I have a choice?" Blake asked, even though she was already planning to go along with whatever Yang suggested for the evening. She liked talking to Yang, more than she enjoyed talking to most people.
"Of course you do." Yang smiled, dazzling and bright. "I just think I'll have more fun with you around."
The smile had already made Blake's heart flip, and combined with Yang's words it was a miracle she didn't swoon.
It was fine though. She could handle an evening with Yang without letting her feelings slip. She could just bask in Yang's sunlight. It would be fine. She didn't have to worry.
(She was worrying a little. She was not as comfortable with social situations as Yang, but hopefully her presence would help with that.)
"Just let me get dressed," Blake said. She was not going to go out in her school uniform; it would attract even more attention than Yang's presence already guaranteed. She didn't want anyone to notice her; she was content being Yang's shadow.
"Okay," Yang said. "Just make sure to hurry."

Yang pulled up on her motorcycle to where Blake had been waiting out in front of her dorm, blond hair streaming out behind her like a stream of golden light.
The first time Blake sat behind Yang on her motorcycle, she’d been nervous, worried that she would give her feelings aways and Yang would reveal that she mostly just considered Blake a friend. Now she got on with no hesitation; even if she couldn’t confess, that didn’t mean she couldn’t have a good time.
