Work Text:
Working with the BAU, it was only natural that you saw and experienced more horror than any human being would want to ever go through in their lifetime. You’d handled serial killers, arsonists, torture, you name it. But something about bomb threats just stuck to you.
Killers were human. Yes they did immense harm, but it was controllable harm. They could only harm within reach. Bombs? Bombs obliterated everything around them, and quite frankly it terrified you.
Luckily, you and the team had managed to corner the man behind a series of bombings in a building, and it would be unlikely for him to blow himself up. His profile portrayed him as someone bent on revenge and as far as you’d figured, his revenge plan has not been fully played out yet. Someone like him couldn’t kill himself and feel fulfilled until his preferred victim went with him.
You had followed your fellow BAU agents along with a SWAT team into the home of the unsub, clad in bulletproof vests, guns at the ready. “Clear!” You heard Hotch call from somewhere behind you.
You turned a corner, gun held out steadily in front of you, Emily behind you to watch your back, and called out in response. “Clear!”
The only place left to check was upstairs. Surely you’d have been able to hear the footsteps of the panicked unsub, knowing he’d been caught, but perhaps he was calm and unmoving. Perhaps he thought he could somehow talk his way out of this.
Your mind tended to go blank when it came to this part of the investigation, stuck in a sort of subconscious trance where your body moved on instinct. Hotch and Gideon led the way upstairs, the rest of you following behind closely.
You cleared room after room until you heard a noise behind a door.
“Mr Webster?” Gideon called out, holding his hand up for the rest of you to halt. “We’re not here to hurt you. I only want to talk.”
“I-I don’t wanna talk to you!” Called out a shaky voice from behind the door, presumably Archie Webster, the unsub you’d been hunting down. “Get out of my house!”
You breathed in and out steadily, calming your mind to try and think, looking around the halls of the house as you did.
During your search for Webster you’d discovered he lived alone in his childhood home, and from what you could see, the decor hadn’t changed. One thing caught your eye. The family photos and portraits that lined the walls had one thing in common; aggressive black sharpie scribbled violently over who you assumed to be Webster’s father.
It struck you suddenly that all of his victims so far had been men and his father had been a violent convict most of his life. This wasn’t a revenge story on any man who crossed his path, it was only against older men who fit the idea of his cruel and unforgiving father. Gideon, as an authority figure, was likely included. He would never listen.
“Gideon-” You whispered softly. “He won’t trust you. He’s afraid of male authority figures, let me try.”
The older man thought for a second and then nodded. You stepped forwards before being stopped by an arm in front of you. Said arm belonged to Aaron Hotchner.
You and Hotch had a strange relationship. You definitely didn’t dislike each other, in fact you got along well. It was just strangely tense sometimes. Hotch’s serious exterior would break down bit by bit, and seconds later it would be back even worse than before. You weren’t sure why yet, but you were sure you could figure it out eventually.
You glanced up at him, about to quietly question why he was stopping you before he whispered. “Be careful..” He looked sincere and concerned, you were a little newer to the team after all, with less experience talking to unsubs.
“Of course.” You answered as he lowered his arm, letting you walk slowly towards the door.
“Mr Webster..?” You asked curiously, purposefully softening your voice. You needed to come off as someone non-threatening, nurturing even. “My friends and I are only here to help. We know you feel unsafe and I promise you, we won’t harm you. We just need you to stay calm.”
You didn’t get an immediate answer, better than being yelled at like Gideon had been. You creeped forwards, step by step until you reached the door. “I’m going to open this door now alright? I’m going to need you to stay calm and still.”
Placing your hand on the doorknob you twisted slowly and then pushed the door forwards and open.
Sure enough, Archie Webster was behind it.
Sat behind a desk.
An active bomb strapped to his chest.
You immediately sucked in a sharp breath, your heart hammering uncomfortably in your chest. You wanted to look back to Hotch or Gideon for help, or some semblance of comfort, but you knew you couldn’t look away from the man in front of you. “Mr Webster, I only want to help you.”
“No one can help anymore-...” He said shakily, sounding like he was on the brink of raising his voice. You couldn’t allow him to get angry.
“That's not true, Archie. Life can get better, even after this, we can get you the help you need.”
He raised his hand, a small remote tucked inside his fist.
“Archie-”
“Get out!!” Gideon called from behind you. “Everyone out-” The man was beyond help, he’d made up his mind. He was going to kill himself and bring anyone close enough to the bomb down with him.
You turned on your heel as you saw the slightest twitch of a muscle in his hand, and felt someone grabbing you from behind to pull you away. It was like the world was moving in slow motion and then everything went partially black.
You continued to blink in and out of consciousness. Your ears were ringing and your foot felt like you’d dipped it in boiling water. There were voices around you but you couldn’t exactly hear them. Everything was too hot, the house was on fire, someone was dragging you clumsily across the floor and then smacking at your foot with some sort of jacket.
Oh my god- It barely registered but you were nearly entirely sure you were actually on fire. Your shoe and partially the bottom of your pant leg at the very least.
The smoke that was filling the house made it hard to breathe, you figured it would be easier to close your eyes and sleep.
“Hey, don’t go to sleep. Don’t you dare.” It was Hotch. The voice belonged to Hotch, who had been using his jacket to put out the fire. You forced yourself to lift your head off the ground and look back at him. The man also looked worse for wear but at the very least he could walk and move normally, unlike you.
“Hotch-” You tried to call out and began coughing instead, laying your head back against the floor.
Strong arms tucked themselves under your knees and back, hoisting you up against a broad chest. This was not at all how you’d ever imagined this might go. “Stay with me, sweetheart…” He grumbled in his normal, serious tone.
You forced yourself to try and listen, struggling to stay awake as he carried you out. The last thing you recalled was a large hand holding yours and concerned brown eyes as you faded from consciousness.
♡♡♡
Your head hurt, your foot hurt, your chest hurt, to put it simply, everything hurt. The bright hospital lights above you did nothing to stop the ache in your head either.
Right. I’m in the hospital. I was on fire, everything was on fire. Did everyone make it out? Where's Hotch?
You didn’t have to look far. Once you’d gotten your bearings and looked around the hospital room in the bright light you noticed the disgruntled looking man asleep in the chair next to your bed. He was missing the tie he usually wore and had undone more buttons than normal on his shirt for comfort. He’d also taken off his shoes and had patterned socks on.
Hotch looked exhausted, as like he was in need of a shower, lightly covered in what looked like soot and ash from the explosion.
He hadn’t gone home. From the time you’d passed out to waking up in the hospital, Hotch hadn’t left your side. It made your tummy flutter with butterflies simply knowing he cared so much. You were sure he’d have done this for any of the other agents, it was nothing special that he decided to stay behind. But he was asleep, and you were in pain, and your delusion really didn’t hurt anyone for the time being.
You peered down at the bed you were in but the blanket on top of you covered any sign of injury. It scared you to think how much worse the case could have gone. Webster was surely dead, there was no chance he survived that, and seeing as you and Hotch had been closest to the bomb it was unlikely anyone had gotten seriously injured.
Relaxing into the generic hospital pillow, you let your eyes slip shut again, just wanting to rest for a moment. Now that you’d fully woken, you were far too worried to sleep. Maybe once Hotch woke up he’d explain what had happened to you.
Within a few minutes you heard the soft rustling of clothing and opened your eyes again. Hotch sank deeper into his chair, stretching out his probably uncomfortable legs. He looked so unprofessional, a complete contradiction to his usual appearance.
It was incredibly endearing. It was how you might imagine waking up next to him after a long night at work. With no time to do anything but fall into bed and the comfort of each other’s arms.
Fuck. No. He’s your boss. Dating coworkers never ends well.
“ You should’ve woken me up.” He grumbled softly, sitting up and running a hand through his hair to try and fix it after sleeping.
“Is everyone else okay?” You asked before he could reprimand you again for not interrupting his sleep. Groaning softly at the effort of moving, you sat up slightly in your bed.
“Are you okay?”
“Hotch-”
“Everyone is fine. Now tell me, are you okay? I can get more painkillers or water, whatever you need.” He was using his bossy work voice on you, and not only was it incredibly sexy, but it also gave away the state of worry that he was clearly in.
You smiled softly at him. “I’m alright Hotch. I mean I’m in pain but it's not as bad as before… what happened anyways? After the bomb went off…”
“You caught fire, I managed to put it out but you still sustained partial second degree burns and you inhaled some smoke. It wasn’t a significant amount though, the doctors said you’ll be okay… Everyone else made it out fine, we didn’t lose anyone except Webster…”
There was some semblance of guilt in his expression as told you what had happened.
“You were going in and out of consciousness so I carried you out. It was faster to take the car than wait and call for an ambulance so Derek drove and I stayed with you in the backseat. The doctors took you in right away but there wasn’t much you could do. They’ve bandaged you up and prescribed you something for your foot. They ran some tests and said the smoke inhalation won’t do any damage. You’re free to leave today whenever you’re feeling up to it.”
You nodded softly as you followed his story. Not only had Hotch carried you out of a burning building, but he’d sat with you in the back of the car all the way there and, most likely, demanded an answer from the doctors on whether you were alright or not.
“Hotch what day is it?” You asked curiously.
“If you’re asking how long it’s been, the bomb went off yesterday, you’ve been asleep nearly sixteen hours.”
You couldn’t hide your smile. Hotch’s eyebrows furrowed in confusion at your apparent happiness in the situation. “Hotch, did you sleep there all night?”
He opened his mouth to speak and then shut it again, sighing deeply. “Maybe. It’s not like I was going to leave you to wake up alone wondering if everyone was alright. I can go and wait in the waiting room now that you’re okay-”
“Don’t be stupid Aaron,” He had begun to stand and sank back down in his chair as you used his actual name instead of his nickname, “I want you to stay. I’m glad you stayed… I would’ve been terrified waking up alone.” You reassured him.
He nodded curtly, the hint of a smile breaking through. “I’m glad I could help. I can take you home whenever you’re ready, Gideon already agreed you can’t be working with an injured foot. You can come back to the office for seated work when you feel ready.”
You nodded and Hotch got up to alert the nurses you were ready to be discharged. You were able to change into new clothes that Emily had dropped off thankfully, Hotch had a little less luck but was fine staying in yesterday's clothing as long as you were comfortable. Your pants hadn’t really been all that salvageable after the fire anyways.
He’d driven you home, bid you farewell and even reciprocated the tight hug you’d forced on him in thanks for saving your life. He smelled like light cologne, comforting and manly, barely there beneath the smell of ash that was stuck to his clothing. You’d forced yourself to let go, and used your hospital issued crutches to make your way immediately to bed. Even at only four o’clock in the afternoon, you were exhausted. The bandaging on your foot hid any damage, and at least for now you were out of pain.
♡♡♡
Everything smelled of smoke and ash, it was too hot, there was nowhere to go. Your ears rang at the sound of the bomb going off and you couldn’t hear anything but screaming. Familiar voices all around you screaming for help but you couldn’t move, it hurt too bad, it was too hot, everything was too hot -
You woke abruptly, sitting up with the start of a scream in your throat, body drenched in sweat. You’d been dreaming. It was just past midnight, this was what you got for going to bed so early.
Sighing in both frustration and relief you let your body fall back against the bed. You could feel tears pricking at your eyes, you were an adult god damnit, nightmares shouldn’t make you feel this way.
But every single time you closed your eyes the nightmares came back, visions of fire and smoke and the sound of the bomb, it was so loud. There was not a chance in hell you’d be able to sleep after that.
Your house was too quiet all by itself, you couldn’t shake the prickling fear that something else could go wrong. If it did, you were injured, you couldn’t escape.
You could call Emily, but she’d probably be asleep. You could call Derek or Reid, they’d stay on the phone until you fell asleep but what would happen when you woke up in tears again?
You did the only thing that made any sense in all of this.
You called Hotch.
The phone rang a few times and you breathed in deeply, trying to steady the shaky rise and fall of your chest, praying he’d be awake.
“Is everything alright?” His voice spoke softly through the phone. He sounded gruff, like he’d just been woken up. He probably had, you would’ve felt bad but you couldn’t bring yourself to care.
“I’m fine…” You mumbled shakily. Fuck. Don’t cry, don’t cry, don’t cry. You never cried at work, the tears came when you were alone, away from judgement. But Hotch wouldn't judge you and so the tears rolled freely over your cheeks.
“Are you crying?” You heard some movement on the other end of the phone. “I’m coming over. Has something happened? You have to tell me if something is wrong.”
Curse this wonderful man. It was nearly one in the morning and here he was ready to pick up and come running before even knowing the problem.
“I just-...” You started. You’d had a nightmare. Even thinking about saying it outloud sounded childish. You forced yourself anyway, what good would it be to lie? “I had a nightmare.”
“About the bombing?” Hotch asked gently, like he was being delicate with you so as to not make it worse. He sounded a little muffled. You could imagine him rummaging around his room for clothes, phone tucked between his ear and his shoulder so he didn’t have to leave you alone.
“Yeah.” You answered, hand that wasn’t holding the phone fiddling with the drawstring of your pyjama shorts. “I know it’s dumb, but I-... I just don’t like being in an empty house…”
“It’s not dumb sweetheart. You’ve been through a serious trauma, anyone would be scared. Just stay put and I’ll be there in fifteen alright? I can even keep you on the phone in the car.”
“Aaron, that's illegal.” You said with a small smile that he could probably hear through the phone.
“I’m the FBI aren’t I?” His grin was apparent even over the speaker. “You’re more important.”
You laughed wetly, the tears momentarily halting.
Hotch stayed true to his word and didn’t hang up the entire way to your house, keeping quiet conversation going to distract you.
You hobbled your way to the door when he said he was almost there, opening it to see him parking in your driveway, phone still on.
He only hung up once you’d seen him, getting out of his car and smiling softly. He was dressed so casually, in sweatpants and a t-shirt, a complete juxtaposition to his work attire. Aaron Hotchner in sweatpants may end up being the death of you.
“I’m sorry I called so late-” You started to apologise but Hotch wouldn’t let it slide.
“Don’t be. I wasn’t really sleeping either, it's been a tough few days.” You let him in, the two of you sitting down on the couch in the living room. Hotch sat with his arm over the back of the couch, facing you. It looked natural, having him in your home.
It was nice seeing him outside of his work persona. Aaron Hotchner was a dead serious, intimidating, and whip-smart FBI agent. He was also an extremely attentive and caring friend, as well as surprisingly funny in all the right ways. He felt like home in all the wrong ways, ways you shouldn’t be thinking about your coworker.
“Did you want to talk about it?” He asked gently, allowing you to decide whether or not you needed to talk or simply needed a human presence.
You shook your head. “I just don’t want to think about it… I guess I was just paranoid that if something happened in the house I couldn’t get out with my bad foot. It feels better knowing I’m not alone.”
Hotch smiled softly, his dimples showing for once. “Well I’ll make myself at home right here. You go and try to get some sleep. I’m a yell away if you need me.”
You nodded, leaning your head against the couch and letting your expression fall just over the line of being too affectionate for your colleague.
“Thank you so much Hotch…”
You helped him get an extra pillow and blanket and left the man to sleep on your couch, curling back under the duvet on your own bed with intent to actually sleep peacefully this time.
All you could think about was Hotch being simply a wall away from you.
He’d intrigued you the moment you’d joined the BAU, but with him being your boss you’d quickly had to push away those feelings. It worked for a while. The man came off as stern and serious at the best of times and for a small while it allowed you to only think of him in a professional manner. But the more time you spent with the team, the more group outings after a bad case, the more light hearted jokes to ease the darkness you saw everyday. The more you saw Aaron Hotchner open up to you. He tore his way right back through the walls you’d put up, and knocked them down with ease.
You wanted him in the most carnal and basic sense of the word, but you also wanted him in your life permanently as a partner, not just an object of your lust.
A crush on your boss had turned into falling in love with one of your closest friends.
Now he was asleep on your couch. Simply knowing he’d be there when you woke up managed to put you to sleep.

“You’re home, you’re safe, darling. Look at me- open your eyes. There we go… it’s okay, I’m right here.” For a moment panic gripped you, the remnants of another dream trying to drag you back into a state of alarm. It only ceased once you opened your eyes and made eye contact with Hotch, who was now sitting on the side of your bed softly trying to wake you from your nightmare.
“Deep breaths.” He said calmly, also breathing in and exhaling deeply in the hopes you’d mimic him.
You did, pulling in sharp gasps of air until you felt okay again, breathing in and out like normal.
“There we go. Good girl.” Hotch looked concerned for you and you almost felt guilty at the way his attempt at comfort unintentionally dipped into one of your hidden fantasies. Almost.
“Are you alright? I could hear your yelling from the living room…”
“Another nightmare… same as last time.” You signed in response. “I’m sorry-... kids have nightmares, I swear I’m not usually this much of a fucking wimp.”
Hotch smiled, head tilting softly in a sort of sympathetic way. “Didn’t I already tell you not to say sorry? You were a bombing victim. You’re going to have psychological trauma, nightmares included.”
You smiled back at him, yawning, You were still tired and glancing at the clock on your side table told you it was three in the morning. You doubted you’d get much sleep tonight at all.
“Listen, you can say no if it would make you uncomfortable but I think my presence in the room might help reassure you that you’re home and safe and not still in danger.”
Your stomach fluttered with butterflies at what Hotch was offering, you hoped the lamp in your bedroom wasn’t enough light for him to see the way your face went red.
“There’s plenty of room for both of us.” He spoke in his low, soothing voice. “That way the moment you wake up in a panic I’m right here, and you may be able to sleep better knowing you’re not alone.”
He looked so genuine and sincere. The poor man only wanted to help fix a problem he likely blamed himself for. Hotch had been the one who had made the profile that assumed Webster wouldn’t be suicidal. It hadn't crossed your mind once, but knowing Hotch, it was probably all he could think about.
“I’d like that.” You replied shyly, scooting over in bed to make room for him.
Hotch laid down next to you, tugging the blanket up and turning the lamp on the side table off. Your bed was big enough you could sleep without touching, but you could feel the warmth of another body under the blanket. Immediately you felt safer.
Looking across at him from where your head was against your pillow only made it feel all more surreal. You’d dreamt of this so many times, the way he’d look next to you, but nothing compared.
Hotch was laid comfortably back against the other pillow, eyes shut and chest rising and falling peacefully. He laid on his back, one arm across his chest, the other tucked underneath the pillow, under his head. You could’ve simply woken up to this every single day and died happy.
You drifted into an easy sleep next to him, the knowledge that he was there for you calming you into a nightmare-less sleep.
♡♡♡
Your pillow had gotten significantly firmer overnight. It also moved.
That would be because it wasn’t a pillow at all, but Aaron Hotchner’s chest. Somehow in the night the two of you had drifted closer, your unconscious body be damned for giving into desire. Your head was against his chest and his arm tucked under your body and curled around you, holding you close. His other arm was tucked comfortably under his own head. Light filtered softly through the blinds and illuminated the man beautifully. The blanket was pulled up to your chin like someone had tugged it up higher in the night to keep you warm.
You didn’t think you’d ever been comfier. Having Hotch join you in bed also seemed to momentarily cure you of your nightmares. He seemed to still be asleep so you closed your eyes again and let yourself give into the moment even if just for a little bit longer.
He shifted underneath you, probably half asleep, turning to face you and moving the arm that was under his head to lay over your body instead. You breathed in sharply and immediately regretted it, knowing now he knew you were awake.
“Morning.” Hotch uttered softly, his voice low and rough from just waking up. To your surprise, he didn’t move away from you.
“Good morning.” You replied, risking a glance up at him. Luckily from your position you were nestled against his chest and couldn’t see his face; you were sure making eye contact with the man would’ve sent you into a spiral.
“Did you sleep alright? No more nightmares?”
“I think I slept better than I have in years.” You answered without thinking. Hotch stiffened slightly and you knew immediately you’d said too much even by saying so little. “Not-... not because of you specifically, I mean just having another body- person. Another person…”
Hotch stayed quiet and you could practically picture his stoic expression as he thought at a million miles an hour.
“Okay Hotch, c’mon just say something…”
He pulled away from you and you sighed in frustration at how quickly you’d managed to mess it all up.
But instead of getting out of bed Hotch just propped his head up on his hand, still laid on his side so he could look you in the eye. “I’m not angry.” He said, smiling softly. “And you need to learn how to lie better.”
“Hotch…”
“Call me Aaron.”
“Aaron,” you said, red blush spreading down your neck. “Fine. Maybe I liked waking up next to you specifically. Is that so bad?”
He moved his arm and let his head fall softly against the pillow. You laid side by side, simply looking at each other. This man had quite literally saved your life. After his divorce he hadn’t been the same, though it was hard to separate it from his normal seriousness. Who knows. Maybe you’d saved his life too.
“I’m your superior…”
“I really don’t care. Aaron you’re my friend too, not just my boss. I’m allowed to have feelings for my friend.” He was trying to talk himself out of it, but you could tell he felt the same. He’d never been comfortable with close proximity, he wouldn’t still be in bed with you if he didn’t feel the same.
“I got you hurt.”
“You did not- you saved my life.”
“I wouldn’t have had to if I hadn’t been so stupid-”
You reached out and softly placed your hand against his face, rubbing your thumb lightly over his cheek. “For an FBI agent, sometimes you can be really dumb.”
He looked moderately offended for only a split second before his expression softened.
“Ever think about the fact that you’re human Aaron? You make mistakes- yeah they’re pretty big mistakes but I don’t care. We all do. Doesn’t change the way I see you.”
He breathed in sharply, moving one of his hands softly to the dip of your waist, warmth burning through you pleasantly. “How do you see me?” He asked, keeping his eyes on yours.
“I see you as an incredibly, intimidatingly intelligent man. My friend and my colleague, one of the smartest, most infuriating men I’ve ever met in my life.”
“Infuriating-”
“You know you’re the only one in the office that never noticed the way I looked at you? Even Gideon knows and that's saying something.”
Hotch laughed and it was beautiful. You barely ever heard him laugh. He leant closer, hand instinctively tightening on your waist making your breath hitch. “Well how do you look at me then?” He purred, dimpled smile making your heart beat faster.
You blushed brightly. “I look at you like I want you to take me home with you after work. Have dinner together, go out on dates, wake up together. A few other things too.” You bit your lip, unable to hide your smile. Despite the mounting tension between the two of you, everything still felt so easy and carefree.
“Other things?” He asked, mockingly raising an eyebrow and giving you that stern, questioning look. “Well go on and tell sweetheart, we don’t have all day.”
You answered him by surging forwards and kissing him. Hotch pulled you in closer by your waist, keeping his hand at a respectable spot, kissing back lazily. It was like heaven, and better than you’d ever imagined.
You tilted your head slightly, sighing against his mouth. The two of you kissed slowly, press after press of your lips together, slightly wet with spit as you experimentally pressed your tongue against his mouth. Hotch’s hand started to slowly explore, sensing the change from an admittance of what might be love, to one of lust. His hand felt so big, like when he’d carried you, though this time he was far touchier. He wasn’t afraid to let his hand fall to your ass, digging his fingertips into your skin to grope and pull you closer.
Your sighs turned to quiet moans as your tongue pressed wetly against his and your making out turned dirtier. He suddenly smoothed both hands up your back to just below your arms, using the leverage he had to softly turn you on your back, his body following suit as he fitted himself between your legs.
In your endless daydreaming you’d imagined Hotch to be a gentle, caring lover. He was everything you thought he’d be but you could feel something hiding, a deeper desire and wanting under his considerate touches. He liked to manhandle, you’d seen him do it before to unsubs, of course that was out of anger but was this any different?
When he was in charge Hotch had the natural urge to move things how he liked. You were determined to bring that side of him out.
You laid your arms over his shoulders, feeling his hands travel back down your waist where his they felt the largest. He broke from kissing you, now hovering over you. His dark brown eyes looked black and his chest was heaving underneath his t-shirt.
“Are you entirely sure you want this?” He asked.
“I’ve never been more sure.” You softly brushed a stray hair back in place, liking the way it made him smile. You didn’t think you’d ever get enough of seeing him smile.
Hotch leaned back down and kissed you a few more times in succession. “Are you sure you’re okay to do this with your foot?”
“What exactly are we going to do, hm, Hotchner?”
The poor man paled for a moment as if he’d assumed too much and you were quick to reassure him.
“I’m kidding, baby.” You laughed softly. “Obviously we’re going to have sex. I want you to fuck me…” You said breathily, unbelieving that you were actually saying it.
“Good thing we’re on the same page then.” The man on top of you said, kissing lower down your jaw and neck. He smoothed his hands up your waist, underneath your shirt before pushing it up slowly to your breasts. “Can I take this off, darling?”
God, his voice alone was going to make you come at this point. It was bad enough at work but now, his rough morning voice mixed with the question of whether or not he could undress you, it was all too much.
“Listen to me sweetheart, I asked you a question.”
Oh Jesus fucking Christ.
You nodded, breathing shakily. “Yes. Yes, please… take it off.”
Hotch smiled in amusement at how easily he’d gotten you flustered. He tugged your shirt up, and you lifted your arms to help him get it over your head. It was exhilarating knowing you finally had him looking at you, exactly like how you’d wanted for so long. The contrast of his hands and arms, manly, and veiny, and big as he touched you sent pleasure shooting up your spine.
He was smiling softly as he eased his hands frustratingly slowly up and down your waist, just admiring your bare chest and stomach.
You leaned up slightly, just a twitch of your body trying to get close enough to kiss him again and Hotch took the hint. He kissed you, running his knuckles over your side in a soft up and down motion. You couldn’t help but arch your back and let your head hit the pillow when he moved his kisses down your neck, leaving a trail of spit over your skin. He kissed lower and lower, planting his lips against your collarbones and then down between your breasts, his hands finding their way to your lower back to keep you in an arched position.
He was kneeling between your legs when he finally stopped and you were already a panting mess. Your mouth slightly open in pleasure, chest heaving, feeling yourself get wetter with every touch he gave you.
“Can I take these off too?” He hooked his large fingers into the waistband of your pyjama shorts and you nodded before he even finished the question.
He tugged them down, putting both your legs over his shoulder so he could get them off without even having to move away from you. Hotch grinned as he tugged the shorts over your foot, chucking them somewhere in the bedroom and then gently moving your legs back down on the bed, kissing your ankle softly as he moved it.
You felt shy under his intimidating gaze but the wrinkles by his eyes and the dimples next to his smile told you all you needed to know.
Hotch tugged his shirt off over his hand with one arm and your breath hitched in your throat. He was strong, you knew he was, he had to be for his line of work. But the enticing trail of hair leading below his waistband and the speckling of black and grey over his chest and arms was making you feral. Even more damning was the blatant bulge in his sweatpants.
He looked like the pure image of sin and you needed him, now.
“Hotch-...” You whined softly, “C’mon take them off. I feel underdressed.”
The man smiled and momentarily got up to remove his pants before crawling back over you. “I thought I’d told you to call me Aaron.” He’d given you only a few seconds to ogle him before he’d hiked your legs around his waist and leant down to kiss you again.
You hooked your ankles behind his back to keep him as close as you possibly could, messily kissing him back. With his arms on either side of your head you could feel the warmth radiating off of him, and you let yourself melt into the feeling of safety he provided.
He nudged slightly closer to you and you felt his dick brush against your wet cunt, making you gasp into his mouth and cant your hips up for more contact.
Hotch let out a low moan and your entire body shuddered. He moved nuzzled at your neck, biting down softly and sucking to leave a mark that you hoped wouldn’t fade all week. You softly threaded your fingers through his hair. He panted against you, hot puffs of air tickling your neck as he repeatedly thrust against you. The tip of his cock caught against your clit and you involuntarily tightened your grasp on his hair, moaning out breathily.
“Mhm.. Aaron please- ah!” You gasped as he did it again and again, perfectly aiming his hips so he could thrust his erection over your pussy. He felt big, you’d seen him briefly and you knew he was. Despite the repeated pleasure against your clit, it just wasn’t enough.
He was grunting and moaning quietly against your neck as he moved, one hand slipping down to your thigh, hitching your leg up higher to have better leverage as he went through the motions of humping against you.
“Condoms- ahh… in the drawer-” You blindly flailed to try and point at your bedside table, barely able to contain your whining.
Hotch stopped and sat back on his haunches but instead of leaning to grab a condom from your bedside table he moved his hand to your cunt and ran two large, rough fingers through your wetness instead. Your hips jolted as he rubbed your clit in gentle circles, not enough to bring you to the edge but enough to leave you squirming and whimpering.
“Hunny I want you relaxed when I fuck you.” He cooed in a low, sultry tone. “Can you take more than one orgasm?” Hotch rubbed your clit harder and you gasped, stomach muscles tensing in pleasure.
You nodded, desperate to do anything he asked of you. You’d take as much as he could give you. “You know I always listen to you baby. I can take it-! Any-ah… anything you want.”
“Mhm.” He hummed in agreement, slipping his fingers lower until he could slowly slide them inside of you. Immediately curling them expertly to press against that spot that had you twitching and writhing under him. “I know you will sweetheart. You’re always such a good girl.”
“ Ohh, Aaron I- I’m not gonna last if you do that!” He dragged another loud moan out of you. He started to speed up the movement of his fingers, pressing them in and out repeatedly, faster and faster, his palm slapping against your clit at every thrust.
He was breathing heavier with the exertion, the muscles in his arms flexing deliciously, all of it was too much. You practically screamed his name as he finger fucked you as hard and fast as he could move. “That’s it darling, I know it's a lot but you can take it can’t you-...” His voice was strained in the most sexy way, low manly growls and grunts accompanying his laboured breathing. “You’re so good. You take my fingers so well, just think how good you’ll feel when I fuck you for real.”
You squirmed, arching your back and moaning repeatedly. Your entire body jolted with just the movements of his arm and you knew your tits were bouncing obscenely.
“That's it baby- just take it… so perfect.” He repeatedly praised you until the words grew jumbled in your brain. You could hear how obscenely wet you were around his fingers. He rammed them inside of you again and again and the on and off pressure against your clit finally sent you over the edge.
“Aaron-!! Oh fuck- yes.. Yes-!” You knew you sounded a bit like a slut, but if you didn’t was it really good sex?
“Good girl. You did so wonderfully sweetheart, took everything I gave you just like I knew you would.” Hotch fucked you roughly through your first orgasm, refusing to slow down until you had fully ridden out the aftershocks.
He pulled his fingers out and you felt empty. The way some of your slick dripped out of you as he pulled out made you feel disgustingly naughty in all the right ways. You were panting heavily to catch your breath and you looked up suddenly when you felt Hotch’s weight leave the space between your legs.
He was simply rooting around in your side table for a condom, looking back at your concerned expression with an endearingly sweet smile. “I’m still here sweetheart. I’m not going anywhere.” Before he moved back to fuck you he leant down, taking your face softly in his hand and kissing you on your forehead. It was so gentle, he was always so soft with you.
You smiled back up at him like he was the sun and you were the earth, lit up by him in golds and yellows, kept warm, given life. You looked at him like you owed him your life.
Hotch crawled back between your legs, careful to avoid your bandaged foot. He ripped the condom packet open with his own teeth, grinning and raising an eyebrow after in amusement at his own action. Immediately you knew there was no going back from loving this absolute dork of a man.
He rolled the condom over his impressive length and leant down over you, pulling your legs around his waist. He softly took one of your hands in his, the size of his hand making you feel small. It was nice.
“Tell me if it hurts at all. I want you to feel good, okay hunny?”
You nodded, squeezing his hand reassuringly. “Baby after that I’m sure anything you do will make me feel amazing.”
“Flattery clearly gets you everywhere, sweetheart.” He said softly, lining himself up and pressing his cock slowly inside of you. You breathed in sharply, squeezing at his hand again, and feeling him frustratingly slowly fill you up.
It could’ve been hours, or it could’ve been seconds, you really didn’t know. All you knew was that you’d never felt so full and complete in your entire life. The stretch of him was just harsh enough to push the limit of pleasure but knowing that it was Hotch inside of you tipped you over into pure ecstasy.
You breathed in heavily, feeling your chest rise as you tried your best to relax. Hotch seemed to be struggling to stay calm just as much as you were.
“Fucking hell…” He gasped softly, eyes shut in pleasure as he gave you a moment to adjust. “You feel incredible. You’re so goddamn perfect hunny…”
You wrapped your arms around him, ever so slightly scratching your nails over his back and listening as his breath hitched. “I’m ready baby, I can take it.”
Hotch pulled back slightly, until only the head of his dick was still inside of you and then ground his hips forwards slow and deep.
“Ohh my god.” You moaned out loudly, tilting your head back. Hotch started to move in a steady rhythm, fucking inside of you repeatedly, hard and deep.
The more into it he got the louder he got, grunting and moaning in your ear as he fucked you. You could feel everything as his cock slid in and out of your pussy, the slight sting of his tight grip on your thigh keeping you grounded. You still felt so sensitive after your first orgasm, your clit still tingling and sending overwhelming sparks of pleasure through you with every movement.
“Ah- Aaron I can’t-” You wailed, digging your nails into his back and squeezing him in between your thighs.
“Yes you can, darling. I know you can-... my good girl. I’ve got you, I promise, I’ve always got you.” He muttered. His praise made your pussy throb around his dick. Your chest was heaving with the exertion of your rough fucking.
You nodded frantically and Hotch moved his free hand to run through your hair, sliding down to softly cup your face. The action was gentle but it forced you to keep your eyes on his.
“Keep looking at me, baby.” His pupils were so dilated, yours were probably the same. “That's it.”
Everytime Hotch opened his mouth to instruct you at work all you were going to be able to think of was this. The way he sounded when he talked you softly through being fucked, keeping you grounded and lost in pleasure. He was out of breath, his hair all sweaty and pretty. You were sure the room reeked of sex, all you could smell was Hotch’s warm, masculine cologne.
He moved back from you, so he was almost kneeling, slipping both hands under to hold you by the small of your back, keeping you lifted off the bed so he could hit inside you at a deeper angle. He looked so powerful, the way he moved you how he liked and subtly controlled you had you heady.
You arched your back more under his touches, feeling entirely surrounded by him.
“Aaron I’m gonna come- oh..! Oh fuck- so good… It feels so good, baby.” You moaned repeatedly, grasping at the bedsheets and Hotch held you still and fucked you.
“Me too darling. I want you to come first, can you do that for me? Can you come for me?”
That was it, you said you’d do anything he asked of you and you meant it. You screamed his name as you came, cunt clenching down around his dick as he continued to fuck you through it over and over. You were shaking as you came down from it and you couldn’t even catch your breath as Hotch didn’t stop repeatedly thrusting inside of you.
“Too much, it’s too much-” You moaned, legs trembling.
“Hunny, just one more. Can you give me one more?” He slowed his movements and placed a hand gently on your waist, rubbing his thumb back and forth in a comforting manner.
You breathed in and out shakily, nodding.
“Christ, you're perfect.” Hotch said breathily, with a small smile as he started to fuck you harder and faster, enjoying your whines and moans. “My sweet girl. Let me take care of you-...”
You let him. You’d never felt better in your entire life, your entire body warm and tingly, Hotch’s hands a comforting presence on your body. He fucked in and out of you roughly, rythm faltering until he let out a loud, husky moan. Despite the condom, the knowledge of him coming inside you and the overwhelming pleasure sent you over the edge a third time. He stopped as he basked in the afterglow of his orgasm, only resting a moment before carefully pulling out and cleaning up.
You laid there, catching your breath until Hotch came back and joined you in bed again, electing to spoon you from behind so he could plant gentle kisses against your back and shoulders.
“That wasn’t too much, was it?” He asked. “I uh… tend to occasionally get carried away.”
“Baby, that was positively the best sex I’ve ever had.” You smiled, leaning back into his warmth. You could’ve stayed in bed all day.
Hotch wrapped his arms warmly around you, nuzzling his face softly against your hair. The two of you talked for a while longer, enjoying each other’s company and you had never felt more at home.
“I’d like this to be more than just one night… if you’re okay with that.”
“Aaron for the last time, you’re an FBI agent. I’d think you’d be able to tell me what I think. Of course I’d like that.”
Hotch smiled and kissed you until he pulled back suddenly. “What time is it…?”
It suddenly hit. “Shit-!”
Both of you were incredibly late for work.
♡♡♡
“Write it down! Aaron Hotchner is an hour and twelve minutes late.” Trust Derek to be the first to poke fun at the two of you.
Everyone was smiling and if you looked close enough Hotch was definitely a little red in the face. Despite your foot you’d wanted to come in and help so Hotch had helped you get ready, go to his place so he could change, and get into work in record time. Regardless, you were both still late.
“So…” Emily started, “No one is going to question how that hickey got there?”
“Well hickeys form from breaking blood cells under the skin when a partner-” The look that everyone in the room gave him quickly shut Spencer up, but to your surprise he continued talking. “Or you know.” He shrugged. “Hotch did it.”
You opened your mouth to argue and Hotch simply shook his head. “Don’t.” He said. “They’re FBI agents. They already know.”
Despite the bright red blush on your face, you wouldn’t have changed a single thing.
