DogPressed was standing in the corner of one of the party walls holding a red cup of fruit punch.
She was staring at the party hoping to see DogDay somewhere. She was aware that he was probably out on the dance floor talking with some strangers.
DogDay was always like that, he always got along with people and would always hang out with people he didn't know.
It was pretty much the reason why DogDay was even invited to this party to begin with.
DogPressed is the complete opposite of that. She has a hard time just looking people in the eyes, let alone having a full conversation with them.
DogPressed wasn't sure why she was here, her brother was the one that was invited not her, but he brought her anyway.
She's old enough to take care of herself…… oh why does she even bother with that… she knows that DogDay would never leave her home alone.
Not after the …… incident.
She still has the scar around her neck from that day, she tried covering it with black choker, but…. She can't hide what she had done.
She made her brother cry….she made everyone worry about her…she's not worth their concern.
She shouldn't even be here…she shouldn't even exist! Her brother shouldn't love her, no one should!
…..
So…why do they?
She shook her head trying not to think about it. She doesn't know why but she's been thinking about it a lot recently.
She looked back at the party still trying to find her brother.
The loud sounds, the bright lights… the…the people and…all the talking…
It was too much, she wanted to go back home, she wanted to go to her room and curl up in her bed and cry.
Now don't take this the wrong way, she can have fun at parties…but…that's because it's full of people she knows….this party though…
She doesn't know anyone here… the only person she knew was her brother but..he wasn't here.
She needed him here more than anything! She needed someone! Anyone!!
She continued looking hoping to find her brother so they could go home…. But… he wasn't anywhere to be found.
She could feel her heart rate speeding up and tears coming from her eyes.
The multiple people coming up to her to ask if she was ok didn't help.
She couldn't take it anymore. She ran off as far as she could.
She ended up tripping in a random dark hallway, it didn't really matter, she just laid there hoping the darkness would consume her as she cried.
Thoughts were getting to her, her anxiety was getting too much, she didn't know anyone… she was alone…all alone.
The blue dog closed her eyes as hot tears left her eyes wanting everything to stop.
"Are you sleeping at the party?" DogPressed opened her eyes, is that?
She looked up to see a familiar orange caffeine addicted cat.
"Catffeine?"
Catffeine took a drink of coffee, "that's me! Now come on!! This is a party, it's supposed to be fun! You aren't supposed to be sleeping!"
DogPressed continued to stare at her, "I…I didn't know you were invited?"
"Oh I wasn't" she took another drink of coffee.
"What!?"
"I invited myself. Also I heard your brother talk about it and it seemed like fun"
There was an awkward silence.
"Your brother won't be happy.."
Catffeine shrugged, "oh who cares! He's boring anyways, he always wants me to sleep, but why would I do that? I mean who needs sleep when you have coffee?"

"When was the last time you slept"
…
"I..I lost count"
"What-?"
"Anyways" Catffeine finished her coffee refilling it, "I'm gonna dance!'
"No wait!" DogPressed grabbed Catffeine's arm, she stared at her confused.
DogPressed usually didn't like Catffeine and her high energy, but…she needed someone… anyone!! Just someone she knew to be there for her.
"Don't leave…. please…"
The two continued to stare at each other for a bit, the orange cat seemed to notice that something was wrong and sat next to her.
"What's up?'
DogPressed stayed silent for a bit, "I…I don't want to be alone.."
"...is that all?"
DogPressed nods yet Catffeine seemed to notice that something else was wrong, but she was going to call it out in her own way.
"..that's kinda stupid.."
"I know…" DogPressed looked away sadly as if she was ashamed.
"....there's something else…isn't there?"
DogPressed hesitantly nods.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
"……."
"No?"
DogPressed shook her head.
There was an awkward silence.
"..you sure?"
DogPressed sighed.
"Hey you don't have to talk about it I'm just sayi-"
"I've been thinking about the…incident.."
The orange cat stared at the blue dog confused. "The incident?"
She thought about it wondering what she meant, her eyes widened when the realization hit her.
"oh…fuck, that incident…!?" Catffeine was getting a little uncomfortable, "uh…why were you thinking about that?"
DogPressed looked away ashamed, "...I… I'm wondering if it would be better if….I didn't well .you know-"
"Ok I'm gonna stop you right there!" Catffeine cut her off, "listen, I know you have depression and all, but…. That doesn't mean we don't want you around!"
"I know! But… I…I.. I can't help but feel like a burden to everyone… especially my brother.."
"Heh! Seriously?"
DogPressed stared at her confused, "what?"
"You do realize that DogDay cares about you a lot right? I mean he talks about you a lot! It's funny because he's usually scared and venting thinking that he failed you!"
"Exactly! He…he wouldn't have to worry about that if I didn't exist!'
"Ok, you do realize that your the best thing that happened to DogDay! Your literally the reason that DogDay goes on! After your guys parents died the only person he had is you! You know how much it hurts him to see you like this!!?? How much it hurts me to see you like this!?"
"I just-"
"It doesn't matter! DogDay loves you!!! He loves you more than anything!!!..." She paused for a bit tears in her eyes, "....you… really scared him that day…. You scared me that day…"
DogPressed stared at the orange cat suprised, she never seen Catffeine cry before, "Catffeine?"
"We thought you were going to die! I…I thought I was going to lose you!!!'
"Catffeine…I…I'm sorry I understand I…I shouldn't have brought-"
"You don't understand!!" She grabbed DogPressed shoulders, for once in her life putting the mug of coffee down and focusing on the blue dog and only the blue dog.
"I…I know I don't act like it!! But ….I do care about you! I….I don't want to lose you….and…on that day I…I thought I did…"
"Catffeine…I..I'm sorry-"
"..heh…and I did get the chance to tell you that I lo-"
"DogPressed!"
They seemed to snap out of whatever moment they were having. They looked to notice DogDay in the hallway looking for his sister.
"DogPressed!" He noticed DogPressed and ran up to her.
"DogDay!?" DogDay hugged her.
"You scared me… I thought something bad happened to you.." he let her go and noticed Catffeine, "oh, hey Catffeine, what are you doing here?"
……
"Catffeine?"
"Huh? Oh uh!" She picked up her mug of coffee, "yeah I just thought I would join the party!"
" …I don't think you were invited.."
"You don't have to be invited to a party to party!"
….
"Yeah…sure.." DogDay said, "your brother's gonna kill you for stay up so late, you know that right?"
"CatNap can eat a brick!"
DogDay laughed, "yeah..sure… anyways…. I think it's time for me and DogPressed to go home…. It was a bad idea to bring her here… I don't know what I was thinking.."
"Welp bye then!"
"Come one DogPressed"
"Wait," DogPressed looked at Catffeine, "what ere you about to say Catffeine?"
"I don't know what you are talking about! I'm gonna party!"
"But…"
"Bye!" Catffeine ran off.
…
"That was weird" DogDay said, "anyways, we should probably go now.."
"But.." DogPressed looked back at Catffeine, "uh….well…ok?"
So with that DogDay and DogPressed left. The blue dog couldn't help but wonder what Catffeine was going to say.

Catffeine was still at the party taking a drink of coffee.
She could stop thinking about DogPressed, and their conversation.
She wanted to go there to have fun but… she couldn't…. Not after that interaction.
She continued drinking her coffee when she heard a ding on her phone. She picked it up to see the fallowing message.
Sleepykitty😾 💤: YOU ARE SO FUCKING DEAD!!!
Catffeine laughed a bit.
Coffee gal ☕: oh please
Coffee gal ☕: wait. How'd you even know I was awake?
Sleepykitty 😾 💤: DogDay
Coffee gal ☕: that fucking bitch!
Sleepykitty 😾💤: I'M GOING TO FUCKING KILL YOU!!
Coffee gal ☕: Your gonna have to catch me first!!
Sleepykitty 😾💤: YOU HAVE TEN SECONDS!!!
Catffeine laughed and took a final sip of coffee and ran off, for the little game of chase has begun.
