“Mommy, what’s this?” Young Mar’i Grayson approached her mother holding an old CD case labeled ‘Dick and Kory’s Playlist’. “Did you and Daddy make a video game?”
Kory chuckled. “No, sweetie.” She took the disc out of her daughter’s hand. “This is a CD of our favorite songs! We made this a few months after we began dating.”
Mar’i furrowed her brow in confusion. “But games come on discs, not music. Music is on phones.”
“The Spotify is more convenient, but this disc is much more special. No one else can listen to this collection but us.” Kory flew over to a shelf and grabbed an old CD player. “Here, you can listen!”
She plugged it in and brought it over to the couch with Mar’i. She set the player over to Track 1, and pressed play.
The song started off with the bass all by itself, but after four or so seconds the other instruments came in. Then the lyrics started at about the fifteen second mark.
