Summary
Clarke nodded slightly, taking solace in Bellamy’s words, yet her heart remained heavy. “I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but I’ve just had so much anxiety after Mount Weather,” she admitted, her voice cracking as she opened up about her struggles. “I tried to hide it, but I can’t. Sometimes it just gets too much.”
Bellamy listened intently, his own heart aching for her. He understood all too well the burden of keeping fears and traumas locked away. “Clarke,” he said, his tone gentle yet earnest, “there’s nothing wrong with you. You’ve been carrying so much, trying to be strong for all of us. But you don’t have to hide your pain, especially not from me. We’ve both seen too much, done too much. It’s okay to feel overwhelmed.”
His words seemed to reach her, offering a sliver of comfort in the acknowledgment of their shared experiences. “You’re right,” she murmured, her voice still fragile but tinged with a newfound resolve. “We’ve been through hell and back. I guess I just need to remember that it’s okay to lean on someone else sometimes.”
Bellamy nodded, his expression softening. “Exactly. We’re in this together, Clarke. You and me, we look out for each other. That’s how we survive.”
