Whenever Aziraphale felt alone, forgotten by god, his prayers unanswered, Crowley was there. And even now, as they summon their maker against the demon's better judgement, and as god pushes the blame for all of humanity's failures on Aziraphale, Crowley is still by his angel's side. Where he has always been...
Just gonna drop this here real quick before I dive into chapter 40, and, by all accounts, let PhoenixRose314 shatter my heart to million pieces~~
I think Crowley is supposed to be wearing his sunglasses in this scene, but I wanted his eyes vulnerable and connected as he reaches up to touch Aziraphale's hand. Let's assume he dropped the shades when the power of god hit him.
