Work Text:
Nico loved waking up before Will.
It was a rare occurrence, as Will seemed to rise with the sun. But every once in a while, there were moments like this. Moments where Will seemed to bathe in the sunlight, with it brightly outlining the curve of his body and setting his blond hair ablaze.
Usually, Nico would wake him and tell him that if he didn’t get up soon, he would be late for his shift at the infirmary. Instead, Nico brushed Wills cheek, connecting his freckles with his finger as if they were constellations in the night sky.
It startles Nico when Will shifts, pressing his head further into the pillow underneath him.
”Five more minutes.” Will grumbles.
Nico cranes his head to look over Will and at the alarm clock on his bedside table.
“Will,” he starts carefully, “it’s 7:30, maybe we should get up.”
”Please?” Will asked quietly.
He caved. Nobody was able to say no to Will, not even Nico.
”Okay, fine.” He had tried to sound inconvenienced, or annoyed, but the words came out soft, fondly.
After a short while, they were both asleep, tangled together under the sheets.
Neither of them woke up for awhile, not even when Percy had bursted into the cabin because Nico was late to teach his sparring class.
