Chapter Text
Music has always come easy.
From a young age, you began to immerse yourself into the world of music, fingers dancing across keys and strings, crafting your own melodic language.
As you matured, so did your musical prowess, evolving from the tentative notes of childhood to the soul-stirring compositions of adulthood.
When beginning to create music of your own, you felt an instant wave of release, weaving emotions into everything you created.
Performing live filled you with invigoration, yet the thing that most fulfilled her passion was the connection with her small but dedicated supporters.
You knew that it would take a miracle to be able to survive off of a career like this, and you knew that if you were lucky enough to be able to one day, you didn’t want to have to change any part of yourself.

Hamzah hesitated at the apartment door, unsure of what awaited him inside. His friend had just texted him on his way there that his girlfriend’s friend is also there, and he was a bit weary of meeting someone new.
When he arrives, you lock eyes with him, an indescribable feeling lingering within you. You are both unsure of what to do, acting with awkward movements towards what would be an introduction to each other.
"Hey nice to meet you I'm Hamzah" he half waves.
"Hey," You say your mind racing with words to say but unable to string them together in a correct greeting.
Luckily, you don't have enough time to ruminate over your shared awkwardness before your friend swoops in to the rescue, "Sorry Hamzah, she just got back from touring and I missed her and wanted to catch up, I totally forgot you were coming sorry for it being kinda last minute"
"Touring? Like for music or-" Hamzah inquires while looking over at you compellingly.
"Yeah yeah it was just a small run in the states with a few of my friends, nothing too special." You say trying not to sound boastful.
"That's so cool I've always wanted to learn about that realm, it seems really fun" He smiles.
This leads to a conversation sparking about your recent tour, and how you got into music. Hamzah, genuinely intrigued, asks you what felt like hundreds of questions about your musical journey.
It felt nice to talk to someone who felt like they genuinely cared and were interested in what you had to say, telling him things you haven't talked about in a while. The more you share, the more he finds himself drawn to your passion and experiences.
A little later as the conversation gets more sparse, Mandy says how she wants to ask you a bunch of things and just wants to catch up more, so you two head out on the balcony, while the others stay inside watching TV.
It seems as though every time you look through the window, your eyes meet Hamzah's, the connection palpable. Although practically all your limbs are slowly going numb from the cold weather, your cheeks still feel undoubtedly warm.
