Chapter Text
Cross had travelled through so many universes looking for Error after the fight against his own companions that when he was about to give up, he found him in Outertale… He continued hugging his legs, but now he could see him disappearing into the horizon of that hill. His footsteps approached him and she took a seat in a relaxed manner next to him, one crossed, the other stretched out, looking at him intently, although he pretended to do so out of the corner of his eye.
“Y0U kN3w 1T, r1GhT?”
“Yeah…” he sighed. “I knew it a bit earlier than you…” he admitted. “Dean committed the mistake of saying Ink instead of Ilias…”
“Th3Y’rE dR34m, bLu3 e inK… ¿4rEn’T tH3Y?” asked.
Cross nodded slowly.
“But anyway…” he smiled a little. “I'm still in love with Dean… I don't care if he's Dream. And surely you are also fond of Ilias, regardless of whether he is Ink… and you know it…”
Error snorted heavily.
“1 h4t3 y0u’rE r1gHt…” he turned his eyes away.
“Don’t you want to turn back?”
He shook his head.
“1’M n0T r3aDy…” he sighed. “1 c4N’t l0Ok aT h1M…” Cross nodded slowly, making him clear that he was listening and understanding him. “n0T aFt3r wH4t W3 h@v3 d0Ne y35TerD4Y n1Ght…”
“Yeah… Blue told me Dream and I weren’t the only ones having an intimate moment yesterday…” he chuckled.
“53rI0uslY?” He raised an eyebrow.
“Literally, an imminent fight seems to awaken the desire for sex or something…” he joked, trying to liven up the atmosphere, but the fixed gaze of the glitched skeleton made it clear to him that he had not found it funny at all. “Sorry.”
There was a brief silence.
“Emotions are very confusing, right? That happened to me when I found out that Dean was Dream…”
“it’S n-n0T tH3 s-s-s-s4mE…” He responded with a depressed tone within the glitches that made his voice stutter. She was in a delicate position, her body had very intense emotions and if she had already had several reboots it was normal for her to have those problems speaking. “iNk aNd 1 tR13D t0 k1lL e4cH 0tHer C0uNtL3ss t1Mes…”
“But you're in love with him…” he shrugged. “In the same way that he is in love with you, and he doesn't need to take red and pink paint to continue feeling those emotions.” he said with calmness in his voice. “He only needs two things” Error looked at him, maybe with confusion, maybe with interest, maybe he just looked at him with no other intention, who knows… Cross sighed. “Humantale…” he raised a finger. “And your arms.” he raised the other finger. “And just can get it if we go there.”
“I d0N’t w4nT t0 c0M3 b4cK tH3m aG41N…” he shook.
“You can’t deny your emotions…”
“1 c4N…”
“Don't be childish. Admit that you have a crush on Ink. The sooner you accept it, the better. Do you think it was easy for me to accept that Dean and Dream were the same person?”
No, actually it was much easier than I could have ever imagined… In reality it had just been a secondary thing… Therefore they were both totally sure of how in love they were with each other, above any fight they had ever been in. been involved previously, but somehow I had to encourage him.
Error shrugged in response and Cross rose from the ground to extend a hand to him. Outertale’s stars were beautiful, but they couldn't stand there like idiots all the time…
“Let's go to Humantale. It's what you need right now... A reconciliation.”
“N0… 1N hUm4nTaLe 1 w1lL cOnt1Nu3 tR1cK1nG mY oWn m1nD…”
“No. In Humantale is where you have all your emotions, everything you have experienced and everything that makes you happy.” He insisted once again that I take his hand with a gesture. “That’s where your love has been generated, has grown, it has developed and it has exploded into sensations that have no explanation and that are as valuable or more valuable than your own life. That's why you have to see each other again.”
Error gave up and took his hand to help him up.
They were both silent, but they didn't need words either.
Cross opened the portal to Humantale with a diagonal movement of the knife and they passed through the portal receiving the human aspect of him. Appearing right at Barry, Dean and Ilias' house, right in front of the porch stairs. Eloy let out a long sigh as he looked at the door longingly, feeling that those many times he had seen that door and the thousands of emotions he had about it and that now it was nothing more than simply the door of those Star Sanses that he thought how much he hated and that, in fact, they were nothing more than great friends.
Behind him, he heard a portal and when his curiosity was satisfied when he turned, he found Ink walking through the portal with the same disheartened face that he had tattooed on his face. With the shame of looking at his face. The portal closed, leaving Ilias with no escape.
Dean approached Cole, passing his arms under his armpits and receiving a kiss on the white-haired man's forehead, Barry stayed next to Ilias with his hands in his pockets as if it were some kind of moral support, but he moved away when seeing Eloy approach to give them a little more ‘intimacy’ or a cosy feeling of ‘intimacy’ because it was true that none of the three were going to leave there.
“Eloy… I'm sorry… I should have said it…”
“Me too…” he responded, lowering his eyes. “But everyone is afraid of my name. If I had told you it was me everything would have been different…”
“We would have killed each other with a clean punch instead of simply leaving it in a tie…” the two agreed on that because they smiled simultaneously. “There is no going back on this…” Eloy nodded his head.
“If we both continue to feel the same, there is no.”
“Obviously I still feel it…” he responded. “I would never be able to recreate this feeling with paintings. I'm only able to feel it here, when I look at you, when I'm with you…” he gave up in that distance that both of them had put in place due to discomfort and hugged him. “When I think of you or remember everything we've done.”
Eloy averted her eyes slightly and smiled a little, looking back at him.
“Then we’re the same dorks in love…” he responded. “Or at least you’re…” cutting the little distance that was left to brush his lips with the other's.
“You are the dork…”
“Do we need to end up fighting, or what?”
“Don’t you dare to calm me dork again, then”
“Fine, fine…” he rolled his eyes.
Cole sighed in relief, looking at Dean, who also looked up at him and they shared a smile in which Barry joined in from the excitement of that moment in a group hug, causing them both to laugh and the white-haired boy to roll his eyes. Eloy, as soon as they separated, turned and glared at Barry because of the noise and the happy screams. Which made him hide behind Dean and Cole. He looked back at the brunette, who smiled calmly, intertwining the fingers of his hand with the other ones.
“Do we come to see each other three or four times a week?”
“As long as those idiots don't want to continue destroying companies, that's fine with me.” Cole, Barry and Dean raised an eyebrow without understanding.
“Oh! ELOY!” He hit him. “Idiot…” He complained, crossing his arms. “Don't even think about using that again.”
“I'm going to continue doing it just for fun.”
“I'm going to throw a can of paint on you.”
“You don't dare…” he challenged.
Dean put on a poker face.
“You just sentenced your death.”
Barry chuckled and nodded that he was right. When Eloy turned his gaze to Ilias to confirm it, he knew that he was lost when he saw him smile like that.
Is it too late to say that maybe he should have already started running?
Yeah…
Maybe…
The End
