Work Text:
Mads sat on a stool in Hugh Dancy's apartment. They had spent the night together and now Mads sat there, considering wether it had been a good or bad decision.
Hanne obviously knew about the encounter and for her it had been okay, knowing how close Mads and Hugh were since 2003. Their friendship was almost as old as Hanne's and Mads' marriage. Besides that she liked Hugh.
Honestly nothing much had happened in Hugh's apartment. They had talked and cuddled and indulged but in no penetrative way.
"Did I do the right thing...?" Mads asked himself, still unsure wether or not he had risked to destroy his bromance with Hugh Dancy.
Suddenly, Mads felt a little extra weight on his shoulders. He looked, finding a little Devil Duncan on his right shoulder and a little Angel Ivan on his left shoulder. He hadn't known that was even possible. Angel Ivan gave Mads a judging look from his glass and real eye. "Tsktsktsktsktsk... Mads... What did you do? You broke the holy bound of marriage by lying with someone else. A man of all people. You have to tell Hanne everything about the feelings you have for Hugh Dancy." he scolded Mads, crossing his tiny arms. Mads blinked in confusion. "But she knows that Hugh and I are close..."
Devil Duncan piped up before Angel Ivan even could consider the weak resistance. "Exactly! She knows, so there is no damn problem about indulging a little!" he announced with thick annoyance in his voice and a "No-need-to-worry"- attitude.
Angel Ivan ruffled the feathers of his little wings indignantly, huffing. "Don't listen to him, Mads! He is a devil. He is trying to deceive you! You have to tell Hanne everything about your encounter and then reassure her how much she means to you and how much you love her." Angel Ivan announced, pointer finger raised in Mads' face.
Mads sighed, frowning and rubbing his eyes. "I tell her every time we see how much she means to me. I even texted her this morning, telling her how much I love her."
Devil Duncan bristled, glaring at the angel. His little horns seemed to be glowing. "Don't listen to him, Mads. He's just a silly little angel, I'd love to fuck someday." he hissed, a split tongue darting out between his curved lips. Angel Ivan flushed. "Shut your insolent mouth, you foul fiend!" he squealed out in shock, cheeks a deep crimson colour.
"Would you mind discussing this without me listening in?" Mads inquired, slightly annoyed himself by now. "I'll talk to Hanne about the encounter and reassure her, how much I love her. So now. Leave me be, you two menaces!"
Devil Duncan and Angel Ivan disappeared in thin air, leaving Mads alone. They reappeared far from Mads' awareness in his brain. In the moral decision system. Angel Ivan's feathers were still ruffled and he was still as crimson red in the cheeks as he had been before they had dissolved in thin air. Devil Duncan grinned widely, revealing a row of sharp teeth. "Nahh, Angel. What do you think?" the little devil asked with a mischievous grin.
The angel glared at him. "Stay away, foul fiend!" Devil Duncan imitated a pout, acting like he was genuinely hurt by the angel's words, knowing that it would always work. For a moment, there was silence but then Angel Ivan gazed up. "Duncan ..? What's wrong?" he asked shyly. "You hurt my feelings, little angel." Devil Duncan manipulated masterfully. Angel Ivan pouted, ruffling his feathers anew. He was still flushed, when he leaned up, pressing a soft little kiss to Duncan's lips. His beard tickled the angel but he didn't end the kiss asap. When he pulled back, he was flushed red. Devil Duncan grinned. "You got very soft lips, angel." he announced gentler than expected of a devil.
Angel Ivan only flushed worse. "You are nothing special, foul fiend. See you around." With that Angel Ivan took off, flying away as fast as he could and trying not to look back or confront what had stirred in his belly with the kiss.
Devil Duncan only chuckled, shaking his head as he turned away to attend to his own businesses, which mostly consisted of boring himself to death until their owner would have to make yet another moral decision or until the little angel actually decided to confronted the problem at its cause instead of far off in his own little compartment.
