Summary
A post-war story about the Autobots" very own Chief medical officer, Ratchet. It’s been many vorns since Ratchet last stepped ped on their home planet Cybertron but when it"s finally time to come home and bots start returning to build their world back up using the rubble of their pasts. Ratchet faces the hard reality of his situation and contemplates how his purpose still relates to those around him. Struggling to accept what’s happened and how he can move forwards, or if he should…Ratchet is met halfway by another who is just as lost and maybe a bit more enthusiastic about finding the answer.
Drift returns and has to build his own life all over again now in the presence of a team that built itself from family lines. When he realizes the one mech who gave him a hope for a future is struggling to reach for his own, he makes it his mission to help. Just like Ratchet had once done to him all those vorns ago, they’re reaching out their servos and never looking back.
