Chapter Text
You laid down on the floor, crying under one of the tables once again.
He hates you.
You already knew that.
You have to get up.
Although you wanted to, you couldn’t muster the energy within yourself to get up.
You can get out this time, but you have to hurry.
You slowly got up, sniffling and wiping your eyes. You made your way to the front door and, after slamming your body against the heavy door, walked out into the parking lot. You rubbed your side and wiped away some more tears.
As you looked around, you saw a little boy standing near one of the cars. You walked over to him, still sniffling. The boy, seemingly engrossed in his toy, hadn’t noticed you until you coughed. He looked over, slightly concerned.
“Hey, where’s your plush toy?” he asked. He then lifted his toy up to show it to you. “Mine is Spring Bonnie. My daddy says that I have to be careful with him or I’ll pinch my finger.” You shuddered when he said that but he didn’t seem to notice. “He is a finger trap, he says.”
That was enough to ward you off. You walked away from him and onto the sidewalk where you saw a little girl sitting in the grass. You slowly made your way to her and she immediately noticed you.
“You’d better watch out!” she told you. “I hear they come to life at night! If you die, they hide your body and never tell anyone.” You burst into tears again and sobbed into your hands. The little girl stared at you. “What? Why are you crying?” You didn’t say anything to her. You instead wiped your eyes and coughed. “Well, see you at the party! Hahaha!”
You immediately ran away from her, still wiping your eyes. As you reached the curb, you nearly tripped into another kid who had been sitting down, laughing.
“Aren’t you the kid who always hides under the table and cries?” the kid asked. You frowned and cried some more, which only caused the kid to laugh harder. “Hahaha! No one else is scared! Why are you? Stop being such a baby!” You cried harder and ran away from the kid.
As you ran down the sidewalk, you could hardly see where you were going from all of the tears in your eyes. You slowed down and saw a pink balloon near a car. You slowly approached it to see a little boy wrapping it around his wrist. He then asked, “Are you going to the party? Everyone’s going to the party.” You didn’t reply. “Oh wait, you have to go! It’s your birthday! Hahaha!” The boy turned back to wrap the balloon around his wrist and you walked away from him.
You suddenly spotted a little girl in the distance near a swing set. She sat in the grass with three toys around one: one of toy bonnie, one of toy chica and one of toy freddy. You shuffled towards her.
“Why are you crying?” she asked as she looked up at you. “Don’t you like my toy collection?” You stared down at the toys but left without saying anything.
You sniffled and wiped your eyes as you walked down the street. None of the houses looked familiar to you but some of the fences did. You then recognized your fence and ran all the way to your front door.
I’m home! you thought as you collapsed onto the floor. You laid on the floor for a while, letting yourself calm down. You couldn’t remember the last time you’d been this happy to be home.
You heard a soft shuffle in front of you and you looked up to see Fredbear sitting on the couch. You sat up and stared at him.
“Be careful,” he whispered. You got up and grabbed Fredbear. You then held him close to your chest and slowly walked through each room, examining everything. When you couldn’t find anything out of the ordinary, you walked to your room and let out a sigh.
You’ll protect me, you thought as you gently patted Fredbear’s head and walked over to your bed. At that moment, (s/n) popped out from under the bed with his foxy mask and screamed. You let out a scream and collapsed onto the floor crying.
“(s/n)!” you heard your mom shout.
“Aw man, come on,” (s/n) muttered as your mom ran in. She held you close to her and glared at (s/n).
“Go to your room, right now ,” she hissed. (s/n)’s eyes widened and he bolted out of the room. Your mom turned back to you and did her best to comfort you.
----------
“You need to have a talk with (s/n).”
Your dad sighed and ran a hand over his face.
“What did they do this time?” he asked. Your mom frowned.
“What did they do this time ? What do they do all the time?! I have had it up to here with them! I can’t seem to get them under control so you will have to do that for me.”
Your dad nodded and took a sip from his beer.
“Will do.”
“Good. And you’d better do it before the party, do you hear me?!”
“Loud and clear.”
----------
The sound of footsteps and clicking woke (s/n) up. They sat up groggily and rubbed their head which still hurt from the smack their father had given them earlier.
Stupid (y/n), they thought as they stood up. They opened their door and stared out into the hall, waiting for their eyes to adjust. Suddenly, a flashlight flicked on and (s/n) dodged out of view from the light.
Aha! They are awake! They’re gonna regret it now!
(s/n) waited until the light turned off to creep over to your room. He peeked into your room and noticed you standing in the middle of the room swinging your flashlight everywhere. As you turned around to flash the nightmare freddys on your bed, (s/n)’s eyes widened.
What the heck is that?!
The nightmare freddys scurried away and you turned back to the closet. (s/n) watched as you ran over to it and shut the doors as a scream rang out.
What the heck is in there?!
You waited for a few moments before running away. (s/n) could see what looked like a hook in the door and their eyes widened.
This isn’t happening right now...
Just then, you ran over to the door and opened it. (s/n) froze. You looked out into the hall and heard breathing. You shut it and waited to hear their footsteps. When you didn’t hear any, you slowly opened the door again and listened. Still breathing. You shut the door again.
Why aren’t they leaving?
You backed away from the door and ran to the other door. (s/n) opened the door and saw you flash the light down the hall. You then turned around and flashed the light on (s/n), who covered their eyes from the light. You gasped and shut the light off before diving into your bed.
(s/n) blinked and waited for their eyes to adjust.
“(y/n)?” they asked. You didn’t reply. (s/n) walked over to you and pulled the blanket off of you. “I know you’re up. I just saw you flashing your light. What the heck are you doing up anyway?” You still didn’t reply. (s/n) frowned and shoved you. “Hey, answer me you baby. What the heck did I see on your bed and closet before? And why do you keep checking everything?”
“(s/n)!” you heard your dad hiss. (s/n) froze and slowly turned around to face the dark hallway. (s/n) could barely make out their dad’s figure but they knew he was there. “Get away from (y/n).” (s/n) backed away from you. “Go to your room right now. You and I are going to have another little talk about this tomorrow.” (s/n) nodded and ran to their room. Your dad then shut your bedroom door.
You listened as his footsteps faded away and you held Fredbear closer to you. As you laid in bed, you heard the alarm go off. You let out a sigh of relief and hugged Fredbear as you drifted off to sleep.
----------
“So you’ve been waking them up every night?!”
“No dad! That’s not what-”
“I walked in on you shoving them and you’re telling me that you weren’t trying to do anything?!” (s/n) frowned and didn’t reply. “Listen to me. Your mother has gotten fed up with your antics and frankly, I have too. So, you’d better stop this nonsense, you hear?!” (s/n) nodded and walked off to his room.
~~~~~
“Aw man. Our game was cut short!”
“That’s the least of our worries.”
“Is it though?”
“Yes. He’s coming tonight and the party’s tomorrow. Either we end this now ...or they suffer the consequences...”
