It was filming day for an En-O’clock episode. The production team told them that it would be a fun, laid-back kind of episode where they would just play some games to try and find the En-Man, which was cool with them. Essentially, they just had to find out who the spy was amongst all of them.
They were excited to just film an episode where they could just have some fun with one another and not feel too much pressure to keep things upbeat and fun. These kinds of episodes just made it easier on all of them because their natural comedic abilities came out. And, if they were all being honest, they were pretty competitive when it came to things like this.
Ni-ki was team captain of the White Team which included Sunghoon and Heeseung. Jake was team captain of the Red Team which included Jay and Jungwon. Sunoo was the MC for this episode.
Things started to get really exciting and competitive during the round of Cham Cham Cham. It was Heeseung and Jake’s turn to go against each other. Jake was so hyped up and his puppy energy was buzzing through his body. He wanted to win!
As soon as the round started, he grabbed his foam sword which was his weapon of choice and he aimed right for Heeseung. It was Heeseung’s job to make sure to block Jake’s attack with the foam sword; however, Jake was so into it that he grabbed his foam sword so fast. Heeseung didn’t even stand a chance against him!
Suddenly, the foam sword came and smacked Heeseung against his cheek. He was so stunned that he froze and held his cheek. He couldn’t believe how fast Jake was, but also how the smack against his cheek stunned him speechless. Even though it was a foam sword, he admits that it did kind of hurt a bit. He tried to play it off and laugh it off to not let onto the other members or Jake that it did indeed hurt.
Jake was so into winning the round of Cham Cham Cham against Heeseung, that he didn’t realize that he actually hurt his hyung by accident.
“YEAH!” Jake was so excited that he won the round. He was shouting and jumping up and down in joy.
After their round, they both went back to their respective teams.
It was time for them to do a commercial break and the production team to set up for the next set of games for them to play.
Jake noticed that Heeseung’s cheek was red where his foam sword had got him against the cheek and he noticed that Heeseung kept rubbing his cheek as well.
Did I hit Heeseung too hard with the sword? Is he hurt?
During the break, Jake went up to Heeseung to check on him.
“Heeseung-hyung. Are you okay? Did I hurt you?”
Heeseung did his best to reassure Jake that he was okay and he had nothing to worry about.
“It’s all good, Jake. No worries. It was just a game,hahaha. It was really cute actually to see how excited you were to play and then when you won.” Heeseung replied.
Jake didn’t look too convinced with Heeseung’s explanation.
He’s trying to hide that I hurt him to make me feel better. I feel horrible now.
“Are you sure, Heeseung-hyung? Maybe I should go ask the production staff to get you an ice pack for your cheek.
Heeseung shakes his head no immediately.
“No, no. I’m fine. It’s okay, Jakey.”
Jake started pouting and sulking the rest of the break and he stuck to Heeseung like glue until filming would resume again. He would sit next to Heeseung and cling to him and give him hugs in apology.
Heeseung thought it was really cute that Jake felt bad and was clinging to him. It was almost like Jake was a puppy and he wanted to stay close to his owner because he was hurt and wanted to show warmth and care.
Before filming resumed again, Heeseung gave Jake a hug and told him that he was fine and he had nothing to worry about and it was all in fun and games - no harm was done and there was no hard feelings.
“Let’s go see what the next set of games are. I’m ready to get back into it and see who the EN-MAN is!”
Jake perked up and they both made it back on the set for some more of the chaos that is this episode.
