"Aw is it shy?" Tony asked. 

"He looks like he is so fed up with telling you," laughed Rocket, "I feel you. All my team members need reminding about simple-to-understand-things," he hated that he was even thinking that of replying to a Kree, but Rocket loved teasing (insulting) his friends. 

Plus, Yon-Rogg seemed disturbed at being addressed by him.

"You love to push buttons," observed Vision. 

Maria laughed, "Oh she has always been like that," she commented. Vers hid a smile as something else from her past was revealed. So her personality never changed. 

«𝙄𝙩'𝙨 𝙢𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙨𝙚𝙚, 𝙞𝙨𝙣'𝙩 𝙞𝙩.» 𝙨𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙖 𝙨𝙢𝙞𝙧𝙠.

"I admire certain aspects of you, not you as a person," the soldier said with a smirk, looking at Vers who made a sound of dismissal and a hand sign to go with it. 

"Please. We all know you admire me, Yon-Rogg. I'm who you aspire to be when you grow up," she said with a dazzling grin.

"A Kree warrior that is fuelled by their emotions of a time in their life they do not recollect. Yes, Vers, my want to be you is up there with my want to be a Skrull," Vers knew that what he said was meant to be in jest, but it still hurt. She was expecting the emotions comment, but not her lack of memory; that's a sore subject. 

Natasha and Bucky sent daggers to Yon-Rogg. He clearly didn't have a clue what it was like to not remember your past. To not know who you are.

"Well that cheered the room up," Talos claimed dryly.

"You have a beautiful laugh," Drax said, looking at her. 

"Thanks?" Vers asked with a hint of confusion but gratitude.

"That doesn't make any sense," Scott said with a frown. "How can you learn how to use your powers if you're not allowed to use your powers?" he questioned. "That's like telling me to learn how to cope with all the body changes when I am giant-man... Without actually going giant,"

"I do, Vers. I have always wanted you to be as great as you were born to be," Yon-Rogg wasn't stupid. Given all the factors, and the fact she is already suspicious about proof she was on Earth, he knew that by the end of this... Thing she will come to learn the truth... He needs her to know he did care for her. 

Who knows how his future self will react if Vers turns into a Kree traitor. He is following commands from Ronan and Ronan is not someone to be trifled with.

"Still can't believe you let AI rule your people," Steve said with a shake of his head. "Reminds me too much of Ultron,"

"Ultron?" Vers questioned with a frown. 

Stark let out a breath and a mumble of „you had to mention him„ before he toon on role as descriptor for the alien. "Ultron was something I helped to create in hopes of a safer world. Ever since around 2012 we've been having... Less than pleasant things happen to the planet-"

Yon-Rogg scoffed, "C-53 isn't that special,"

The Avengers sent him a look, "Oh yeah?" questioned Rhodey, "Then why has it been patient zero for all other worldly attacks? The chi- chit— what's it called?"

"Chitauri," supplied Nebula. 

Rhodes snapped his fingers and pointed to her. "That. The chitauri invade our planet by the rule of his brother. A demi-God. There's crisis one of other worldly or sci-fi events-"

"We are people with powers of enhanced biology, even if nothing happened we would be living in science fiction," Peter supplied unhelpfully. 

Rhodes ignored that comment. 

"Then we have a massive robot hellbent on genocide. His plan to either appeal to whomever he didn't kill or to then later kill everyone and make a world full of metal," they watched Rhodey rant in surprise as his tone got more and more intense, even using hand gestures. "Thankfully Ultron failed,"

"At this current point in time, 'than' is not the word I would think of," Yon-Rogg grumbled. Vers lightly hit his shoulder. "I didn't want to hear his life story," he told her. 

"Well... I'm intrigued," Vers said. 

"Now we have Thanos," even Yon-Rogg flinched at the name. "Yeah. I don't think I need to say much about him. Then we all have our own individual lives in between all that," he explained, thinking back to the Mandarin situation and EXTREMIS, the fall of SHIELD.

"What the hell is that?" Clint asked, staring at the screen in horror. 

"How we commune with the Supreme Intelligence," Vers stated with a shrug. "It's like... Plugging ourself in,"

"It looks beautiful," Shuri said, her eyes almost glistening.

"She was like a mentor to you," Maria explained. Vers smiled softly, she wished she remembered. She supposed that Yon-Rogg became her mentor after the accident. She wondered if their teaching styles were the same.

"Everybody deserves to know their origin," Natasha said firmly.

Bucky grimaced, "And if your mind is working against you,"

Vers shifted uncomfortably, "Tell the Intelligence that. I dare you," she said with a laugh. 

"Gladly," Natasha said immediately, sending Vers a raised eyebrow look.

She hated it when they did that. It felt unnatural. Like someone was putting a massive wall against a current of water. Stopping the flow and thus leaving the path behind it dry and.... Dead. It didn't feel like a switch. Powers on and off. It felt more like hugging a bird that wanted to break free. It was uncomfortable.

"Sorry about what I did," Talos said suddenly. "I can't imagine waking up in unknown territory as you did, but I am desperate," he said firmly.

"No!" he said firmly. "I..." he looked at Yon-Rogg and Vers before shutting his mouth. He couldn't risk them finding out about his family. He couldn't put their existence in their heads. He needed to keep them safe. His people. His wife. His daughter.

"Korath the Pursuer," Rocket said faintly, getting a better look at the paused screen. 

"You know of him?" Vers asked, "He never mentioned he knew a... whatever you are," she stated. 

Rocket laughed wryly, Drax looked proud, Quill looked frustrated, Groot hugged and Nebula looked conflicted. "Know of him? No, we've caught him. Whooped his ass too!" he Raccoon announced proudly. "Them Drax—"

"Knocked him out!" Quill said quickly, covering Rockets mouth. "Mhm, knocked him out and we sent him back empty handed," he hissed to Rocket, "You're going to tell them Drax killed their evil teammate?"

Vers put her down in respect for Soh-Larr; being a spy wasn't the best. Having to pretend to be someone else, try and not get caught. She glared at Talos. "That was your fault," she said. "You're the reason he is with the Collective," Talos didn't reply. Death was an outcome of war. Soh-Larr knew what he was doing.

"Ditto. Let's see how different the pirate is in... Wait what year?" Tony asked. He realised that they had no clue what year they were from. 

Fury looked at the group, "1995," he answered. 

"Woah..." Peter whispered. 

"We're from 2018!" Shuri said in amazement. Fury, Maria and Monica looked shocked. The group knew they had lots of questions but not enough time. Maybe after.
