Work Text:
Spencer and you were good friends, close friends, actually best friends. You were a college student, and also an assistant to your professor occasionally. Spencer was an FBI agent, you thought he was joking at first but quickly realized he wasn't and he very much deserved to be in the FBI.
You both took the same train, but never talked. One day you had the courage to strike up a conversation with him. Meaning you memorized what book he had currently been reading and decided to go buy it in order to make conversation with him. Since then, you both became practically inseparable.
And he developed a crush on you. Although that word relt juvenile to him. So.. he caught feelings for you. You were just so kind and fun to be around and talk with, he couldn't help it.
You were also the only attractive guy who willingly talked to him and didn't get annoyed with him when he rambled. You were everything he looked for!
Okay so what if his standards were low.. he was bullied all his life, he'd take the bare minimum. But he thought you were more than the bare minimum. He thought you were perfect, but also way out of his league, so he never made a move. And he had no way of knowing if you were even gay. Or bi.
So, when you went to visit him and on a day you had no class and decided to sit around Derek all day and pay no attention to him, he got jealous.
He was jealous and sad and wished that the BAU developed a black hole that swallowed Derek away to never be seen again.
Maybe that was a bit much, but he was taking you away from him! His very attractive coworker was stealing away his even more attractive best friend who he was hopelessly.. who he had very big feelings for. Because love is a big word and you guys have only known each other for 10 months.
So, there Spencer sat at his desk, pouting as he did his work. He looked up at you, who was chatting away with Derek, and he let out a small huff which caught Elle’s attention.
“What's wrong with you?” She asked him, looking up from her work to be met with a pouty face looking down at files. She knew work was annoying, but no files could make a grown man pout like a child.
Spencer looked up at Elle, unaware of his obvious facial expression and took a quick glance at you and Derek, and then looked back at her. “Nothing.” He replied and went back to work, trying to ignore how his best friend was ignoring him.
“Nothing? That pout on your face isn't because your boyfriend is talking to Derek instead of you?” She raised her eyebrow, looking over at you talking with her coworker.
“I-I don't know what you're talking about! I don't have a boyfriend.” Spencers stammered out, his cheeks quickly flushing as he looked up at Elle, but avoiding eye contact.
Elle chuckled at his reaction, and shook her head. She looked back at Derek and you, an idea popping into her head. She smirked before calling out your name. “Y/N!” Spencer's face dropped. He tried to hush her, panicking on what she might say. “Elle! What are you doing?”
“Your boyfriend's jealous.” She laughed as she motioned to a beet red faced Spencer.
“Oh yeah? Why'd you say that?” You ask, chuckling as you get up and head towards the two friends.
Spencer wishes that black hole he was asking for earlier would appear next to him now. “Well, he was all pouty, like a child. And he was huffing too. All mad and upset.” Elle replied, a smirk on her face as she looked at Spencer who seemed like he was trying to merge with his chair.
“Aw? Is that so? Were you jealous that I was talking to Derek instead of you?” You ask him, stopping right next to him, leaning against his desk.
“I-I was not jealous. I'm not jealous. You can speak to whoever you want to.” He mutters out, very obviously avoiding looking at you, and instead looking down at his desk. “Then why can't you look at me? Are you mad at me?” You asked, crossing your arms as you wait for him to look up at you.
Spencer bites his lip and looks to the corner of his desk, not appreciating the moment. He sighs and looks up at you.“I’m not mad at you Y/N.. but you've been talking to Derek practically since you got here! And you've barely talked with me, or anyone else.” He complained with a small pout on his face, which he had desperately tried to suppress but failed miserably.
You melt at the pout on his lips, smiling as he complains. You reach your hand out and cup his cheek, which immediately hear up, and lean down close to him, completely turning him red again. You chuckle at his reaction and press a light kiss on his nose before speaking.
“That's because I've been asking him about you. I wanted to see if you were into me.. and how I could ask you out.” You smile, letting go of his face.
Spencer didn't hear one word though. He was so flustered by you cupping his cheek and then completely stopped working when you kissed his nose.
His face was all red as he looked up at you with big doe eyes.
He lifted his hand up to his lips, his face all red as he looked up at you with big doe eyes. He looked down and opened his mouth to speak but closed it again and looked back at you instead as he thought of something.
As he looked up at you, he gave you another pout and tilted his head to the side slightly, hoping you'd kiss him again.
You, not being able to resist his adorable pout, leaned down, cupped his face and gave him a small kiss on his cute pouty lips.
As you pulled away again, he smiled at you, ignoring a few comments from his coworkers.
“Maybe I was a little jealous..”
