Summary:
After getting back the shield, Sam returns to Delacroix for a much-needed down time, and a place to gather his thoughts.

“Fuck him,” Sam grumbles while scrubbing the deck of Paul & Darlene. He loves cleaning their boat. The repetitive brushing and wiping of its teak floor allow his mind to wander off, even just for a bit, giving him space to think.
And his brain’s occupied with stupid thoughts about a certain infuriating person. The grumpiest and kindest person he’d ever known. The person whose puppy-dog eyes can get away with anything. The person whom he cares about so much. The person who has this annoying habit of disappearing and reappearing in his life.
“Fuck him.” Sam sighs.
He misses him.
