Fine, I GUESS You Can Drink My Blood

Summary:

He and George are in North Carolina filming the next few episodes of Banter, and since it’s been raining all week, George hasn’t had the opportunity to become a walking sunburn. He also hasn’t fed enough in a while, which is… interesting, to say the least. Normally George uses Dream as his personal juice box, but since Dream’s in LA for business meetings, George can’t exactly go grab him for a quick snack.

So instead, he’s been using Sapnap and Karl.

Vampire George and human Karlnap :)

Notes:

Hi! I wasn't really thinking about writing for knn week but I remembered I had this draft from June that I could finally have a reason to finish!

Happy KNN week and happy late Valentine's Day! :]

Work Text:

All in all, Sapnap thinks George being a vampire changes very little about their dynamic.

It helps that he’s known George is a vampire for, well, as long as he’s known George, and at this point he’s entirely used to it. Sure, George has been around since the first Elizabethian Era, but he’s managed to keep up with the times enough to just seem like a weirdly quirky millennial.

A weird quirky millennial who bites people and drinks blood and gets sunburned far too easily - which is why George moving to Florida is both a blessing and a curse, Sapnap thinks, because he’s constantly getting burned.

Sapnap yawns, arching his back as he detangles himself from Karl the human octopus and climbs out of the bed. They always end up sharing a bed, the three of them, even though every time they come up here they say they’re not going to.

He shoves George aside a little as he does so, pushing a pillow in between him and Karl so the vampire won’t freeze Karl to death in his sleep. He stretches his shoulders, heading for the bathroom down the hall. He might as well get a start to the day at… Sapnap glances at Karl’s alarm clock… eleven am.

Oh well. Better late then never, and that’s not bad for him, actually, considering how fucked all of their sleep schedules are.

Sapnap steps inside the bathroom, flipping on the light and the fan, and going to turn on the shower. He looks at himself in the mirror while he waits for the water to heat up, eventually pulling off his clothing to climb in. The water is warm on his back, a welcome relief considering he’s been snuggling with an ice block of a vampire all night.

His hand graces over the small scabs on his neck - where George had gently bit him a few days ago - the vampire is alternating between the two of them so he doesn’t take too much blood. Dream can handle it, with his taller stature and broaderr body, but Sapnap and Karl can’t give too much at a time without passing out.

Sapnap scrubs some shampoo into his hair, enjoying the soft lemony smell of Karl’s shampoo that he is most certainly using without permission. He scratches into his scalp, closing his eyes with a hum of contentment.

Then someone grabs him from behind.

Sapnap yelps, nearly slipping on the soapy shower as cold arms encircle his waist and chilly breath brushes against the back of his neck. “GEORGE?!”

“Hi,” George hums, leaning closer. “G'morning,” He mumbles softly, and Sapnap can feel the vampire’s mouth open and cool fangs grace his skin.

He sighs, reaching backwards and jamming his thumb into George’s mouth, pressing against his lateral incisors and shoving his entire face upwards, off his skin. “Not now… I haven’t even gotten breakfast yet, geez.”

“I’m hungry,” George whines, yanking his head away from Sapnap’s thumb and plopping his chin against the human’s shoulder. “Dream lets me drink before breakfast all the time.”

“I’m not Dream,” Sapnap grumbles, unhooking George’s arms from his waist and accidentally tugging out a strand of the hair on his tummy. He winces, shoving George backwards a little. “Ow. Get off me.”

George whines, but concedes, taking a step back in the shower to give Sapnap more space. The vampire oogles him hungrily, but not in a sexy way, more in a… ‘you have blood and I want to drink it so bad it hurts’ sort of way.

Sapnap sighs, staring at him. “Stop looking at me like that, you’ll get some in a little bit.” He thinks for a long moment. “And you can drink from my wrist.”

“Your wrist!?” George exclaims, horribly offended. “You always let me drink from your neck!”

“That’s what happens when you get grabby while I’m in the shower,” Sapnap grumbles back, reaching for a washcloth so he can scrub his chest. “Maybe you should’ve thought about that before sneaking up on me.”

“You’re cruel,” George grumbles. “I’d drink from Karl instead but he’s asleep - and I drank from him last night.” He pauses. “We should probably make him some breakfast, actually - or order something.”

“Ordering something sounds great,” Sapnap nods, too tired to try and cook. “Karl would eat grilled cheese for breakfast, right?”

He knows Karl needs the nutrients - vampire feeding isn’t pleasant and it tends to take a lot out of someone, so he’ll need nourishment to replenish it. Sapnap’s seen all too well what happens when George gets a bit feisty - Dream ends up ordering or making a ton of food and then sleeping for hours and hours to compensate for the lost energy. Apparently one time George got a little too aggressive with Wilbur back in London, and the poor guy had to go to the hospital.

“Yeah,” George nods. “And we should stream later today - since we’re not recording Banter…” He thinks for a long moment. “Unless Karl’s… too pale.” Karl always ends up a little paler after George has a go at him - and it's only ever him, because Dream and Sapnap almost never have the same issue.

“He’ll wear a turtleneck to cover the bite,” Sapnap assures, sensing George’s unease. The Vampire’s always been nervous about anyone discovering his secret - especially the fanbase and their speculative tangents. The amount of 'Edward and Bella are George and Dream' jokes would never blow over - and there’d probably be some insane anti accusing George of being a weird unsavory creep for being old as Shakespeare and hanging out with Dream and Sapnap all the time.

George nods, thinking to himself, before standing up again, eyeing Sapnap’s wrist. “Are you sure I can’t just have one bite?”

“No,” Sapnap rolls his eyes, shutting off the water and climbing out of the shower, reaching for a towel. “After breakfast.”

George sighs, but lets it go, at least for the time being.

— — —

"Are you done?" George asks as Sapnap gets up to toss the paper his sandwich came in and wash his hands. The vampire is all perked up like a puppy looking for attention, watching Sapnap with dark red eyes.

"Yeah," Sapnap flicks water off his fingers before drying them on the hand towel nearby. He looks over at Karl, who's still lazily munching on his sandwich, scrolling his phone between bites. "How are you feeling?"

Karl looks up. "A lot better," He nibbles the sandwich like a rabbit with a carrot stem. "Are you and George going to…" He smiles at them, snickering. "Have a moment?"

"You make it sound so dirty , Karl," George scoffs good-naturedly, leaning back in his chair before looking at Sapnap with big eyes. "But yeah, Sapnap, are we?"

"Sure," Sapnap sighs. "But I want to watch a movie while you snack on me."

George hops up from the table and follows Sapnap to Karl's living room, where he pulls a collection of throw blankets from the cupboard in Karl's ottoman. The house is freezing and the last thing Sapnap wants is to cuddle with an equally-as-freezing vampire right after losing a lot of blood.

Karl joins them a moment later and sits down beside Sapnap, grabbing the remote and turning the tv on. Sapnap leans to rest his head against Karl's shoulder and Karl leans his head against Sapnap's in return.

George crawls forwards and Sapnap feels cool breath over his collarbone and sighs, reaching out to grab George by the neck and push him off. "No."

"Come on, Sapnap," George whines, but he doesn't use vampire super-strength to force Sapnap's hand away. "It's not as good from your wrist."

Sapnap rolls his eyes. "Then you shouldn't have grabbed me in the shower." He releases George and presses his wrist against George's mouth. "Here."

George makes an unhappy vampire noise but takes Sapnap's wrist anyways, tilting it to the side and carefully opening his mouth. Sapnap braces himself, turning his head, closing his eyes, and burying his face in Karl's shoulder. Karl immediately turns to comfort him, wrapping an arm around Sapnap and kissing the top of his head gently.

Sapnap can handle a lot of things but being bit is something he's never gotten used to - at least until George's venom kicks in. He takes in a few deep breaths as George carefully aligns himself. "Ready?"

"Ready." Sapnap breathes - then yelps as fangs peirce directly into one of his veins. He chokes out a sob and presses harder against Karl, who holds him like the world is ending. It's really not that bad - or it shouldn't be, but Sapnap is always uncomfortable while this happens.

Warmth explodes through him a minute later, soothing his heart and calming his anxious mind with it's sweet feeling. Vampire venom always feels really good, and Sapnap's brain clouds over with heat and safety. Karl rubs his back and kisses him, and Sapnap leans into him, catching Karl's lips so they can kiss lazily.

He likes kissing Karl, he likes it a lot, and he especially likes that they never kiss on camera. Karl kisses are reserved for off-camera because they're special and Sapnap wants them just for him and Karl and George.

George is finishing up, Sapnap can feel his tongue licking over the bite with thin, deliberate strokes that will encourage Sapnap's soft skin to heal. Sapnap sighs and breaks a kiss with Karl to rest his head against his collarbone, tucking his head under Karl's chin.

"Better?" Karl asks softly.

"Mmm," Sapnap murmurs, nestling into him. "I'm tired."

Karl smiles and runs a hand over his head. "I know. You can take a nap if you want - we don't have to do anything until this evening."

"Are both of you going to stay?" Sapnap asks softly, feeling George curl against him and start… purring? He's never figured out what that sound George makes is but it's a nice one.

"Yeah, of course." Karl shifts, kissing Sapnap's nose again and placing his head on his stomach. "I'll turn something on, you sleep."

Sapnap nods lazily and rests, eyes drifting shut as the sound of the tv slowly fills the room. He knows he's going to wake up sore but right now, full of vampire venom and with a considerably less amount of blood than before, he'd love to just sleep it all off.
