Chapter Text
"The total comes to $15.75," the lady at the cash register informed Felix as he inserted his card into the reader. As the satisfying ding echoed through the store, he retrieved his card and offered the cashier a warm smile. "Thank you, please come again," she uttered, and Felix nodded appreciatively before exiting the store. The excitement of Valentine's Day always filled him with joy, eager to shower his fiancé with love and spoils. Though they had agreed not to go overboard this year, he couldn't resist picking up a box of chocolates and a few cheesy gifts he knew would make his fiancé laugh.
With anticipation building, Felix couldn't wait to return to his apartment. He knew his fiancé would already be home by now, and he was eager to surprise him. After a fifteen-minute walk, Felix finally reached his front door. Unlocking it, he swung it open and casually dropped his keys into the small bowl that sat nearby. His expression shifted into a frown as he noticed scattered clothes strewn haphazardly across the floor. A gasp escaped his lips as he spied a bra discarded amongst them.
A mix of anxiety and curiosity crept over Felix, urging him towards their closed bedroom door. It took every ounce of strength he had to grip the doorknob and turn it, revealing what lay beyond. Chocolate slipped from Felix's hands, crashing onto the floor with a resounding thud. The sudden noise caused the two figures on the bed to freeze, their eyes snapping towards the doorway. As Felix gazed at his fiancé, he could see the guilt etched upon his face. Tears welled up in Felix's eyes, rendering him speechless.
"Can you leave and close the door behind you?" a pretty blonde omega with feathery hair asked Felix, a knowing smile playing on her lips. Felix recognized her instantly as his fiancé's best friend.
Felix stood there, mouth agape, trying to find his voice, but the words eluded him.
"Felix, please let me explain," his fiancé begged, hastily pulling on his underwear and stepping off the bed, inching closer to Felix.
His breathing quickened, and Felix shook his head, silently pleading with his ex-fiancé to stay away. With each step his fiancé took towards him, Felix took a step back. The suffocating feeling of their tiny one-bedroom apartment washed over him.
"Baby, please," his fiancé begged, seizing Felix's arm and pulling him into an embrace. Felix trembled in his hold, desperately clawing at him to let go, but his fiancé refused to release him.
"Let go of me," Felix begged, his tears staining his fiancé's shoulder. "We're done," he cried, finally managing to push him away. Slowly regaining his strength from the shock, Felix hastily grabbed his jacket and slammed the apartment door shut behind him, tears streaming down his face. He knew he needed to regain control of his emotions before his pheromones overwhelmed the building. He couldn't risk any accidental encounters with an alpha tonight.
Outside the apartment building, Felix felt lost. He had nowhere to go. His family was hundreds of miles away, and the only two people he knew in this town were his fiancé and... He decided to call his one remaining friend.
"Felix?" Wooyoung's voice questioned as he answered the phone. "What's up?"
"Are you busy?" Felix's voice trembled.
"Baby, I'm always available when it comes to you," Wooyoung replied smoothly. His words would have elicited a giggle from Felix on any other day, but today he couldn't even muster a fake laugh.
"I can tell that something's wrong now. You always giggle when I call you 'baby'," Wooyoung pointed out. Felix could hear shuffling in the background. "Where are you?" Wooyoung asked after a couple of minutes of silence.
"In front of my apartment building," Felix replied softly, wrapping his jacket tighter around himself and cautiously glancing around.
"Okay, baby. I'll be there soon. Go sit in the lobby so you're not cold," Wooyoung instructed before the call ended. Sniffling, Felix walked back into the apartment building and settled into one of the lobby sofas.
It didn't take long for Felix to spot Wooyoung walking into the building. He had always envied his omega friend, who seemed untouchable.
"Come on, baby. I'm taking you home," Wooyoung declared, grasping Felix's arm and helping him to his feet. Felix let out a sigh of relief as he leaned into Wooyoung, clinging to his arm. The only time he released his grip was when they reached Wooyoung's car.
The ride was mostly silent, save for the soft music playing through Wooyoung's speakers. It was so soothing that Felix found himself dozing off multiple times before they arrived at Wooyoung's house. The exterior of the house exuded warmth and charm, and the interior was even more inviting.
Once they were settled on the couch in the living room, Felix finally opened up about what had occurred less than an hour ago.
"Mason cheated on me with his best friend," Felix confessed, his gaze fixed on his fidgeting fingers. Nervously awaiting Wooyoung's response, he braced himself for his friends response.
"Are you fucking kidding me?" Wooyoung responded angrily. "He was the one so excited about the wedding and made all these plans. I swear, I thought his face was permanently glued to your ass," he added, his frustration evident.
“I guess it was an act.” Felix replied sadly, as he cuddled into Wooyoung's side.
"What an asshole. I'm sorry, baby," Wooyoung murmured into Felix's hair, pressing gentle kisses on the top of his head. "You can stay here as long as you want. San thinks of you as our baby anyways," Wooyoung added with a small smile, nudging Felix playfully in an attempt to coax a smile from the young man.
"I love you guys so much," Felix said, turning to look at Wooyoung. "What were you doing before I called?" he asked.
"I was planning on going to the bar, but that was only because I was feeling lonely. San picked up an extra bartending shift tonight," Wooyoung replied.
"Let's go, then," Felix said, standing up and causing Wooyoung to look at him warily. Felix noticed the caution in his friend's eyes and asked, "What?"
"Are you sure you're ready to go to the bar after what happened?" Wooyoung questioned.
"I need a distraction, and hanging out with you, annoying your hardworking boyfriend, is the best distraction right now," Felix replied, tugging at Wooyoung to get him off the couch. However, Wooyoung's strength proved to be greater than Felix's, and he couldn't budge the omega.
"Whatever you want, baby," Wooyoung said, finally allowing Felix to pull him up. "Do you want to borrow some clothes or wear what you're wearing?" Wooyoung asked.
Felix glanced down at his work outfit - a basic pair of baggy jeans, a dark blue shirt, and a black jacket. "Can I borrow some clothes?" Felix requested, realizing he didn't want to wear his current attire to the bar.
Wooyoung smiled before leading Felix to his bedroom and rummaging through his overflowing closet. Felix began feeling nervous about allowing Wooyoung to choose his outfit when he noticed the man pulling out leather pants.
"Maybe I should just wear this. It's not like I'm going there to impress anyone," Felix suggested nervously, but his words were disregarded as Wooyoung continued his search.
Fifteen minutes later, Wooyoung had Felix strip and try on the clothes he had chosen. Felix knew he looked good, but he couldn't deny feeling extremely uncomfortable. He was clad in tight leather pants that were a tad too long, a belt, a leather jacket with random cutouts, and a mesh shirt with black flowers scattered across it.
"Fuck me," Wooyoung said, examining Felix's outfit with a proud smirk.
"San would not be happy," Felix laughed.
"He would understand," Wooyoung replied, sharing a laugh with Felix before they decided it was time to leave.
When they arrived at the bar, it was packed. Felix had been to this establishment a few times with Mason and Wooyoung, but it had never been this crowded. Felix followed Wooyoung inside, and they made their way to where San was working tirelessly, filling up glasses with various alcoholic beverages.
"Hi, baby," Wooyoung said, leaning over the bar table to catch San's attention. The two of them locked eyes, exchanging smiles before San noticed Felix and greeted him warmly.
"Hi, guys," San said, sliding glasses to customers before leaning over the table to join the conversation. "What do you guys want to drink?" he asked, wiping his hands on a towel nearby.
"Anything strong enough to get this one drunk," Wooyoung replied, wrapping his arm around Felix's shoulder and pulling him closer.
"Coming right up," San said, undeterred by the vague request. Felix and Wooyoung took a seat, waiting for their drinks to be prepared.
Felix froze as he felt someone take a seat next to him, immediately sensing that it was an alpha. Taking a large sip of his unknown drink, he tried to ignore the discomfort that prickled across his skin.
San returned to take the mystery man's order, and Felix found himself inexplicably curious about what the handsome newcomer would request. His curiosity turned to surprise and a touch of revulsion when the man ordered whiskey. Felix couldn't help but make a face, the strong alcoholic scent reminding him of times he'd rather forget. The man must have noticed his reaction because he spoke up, "Not a fan of whiskey?"
Startled, Felix turned his head to face the man, momentarily captivated by his breathtaking appearance. With shoulder-length black hair styled in a half-up, half-down fashion and dark brown eyes that seemed to shine in the dim lighting, the man was undeniably attractive. His simple attire of black slacks and a rolled-up button-up shirt only enhanced his allure. Felix knew he needed a few more drinks if he wanted to keep conversation.
"More like whiskey is not a fan of me," Felix replied smoothly, despite the unease he felt deep inside. Downing the rest of his drink, he waited expectantly for the man to respond.
"Who wouldn't be a fan of someone like you?" the man replied, leaning onto his hand as he propped it up on the table. Felix squirmed uncomfortably under the man's intense gaze, internally wrestling with his own emotions.
If he were being honest, Felix wanted to blurt out that his ex-fiancé wasn't a fan of him anymore. But sharing such intimate details with a stranger wouldn't be appropriate, so he forced a small smile instead. "What's your name?" Felix asked, feeling the effects of alcohol already coursing through his system. San must have noticed his nervousness because his cup was promptly refilled.
"Hyunjin. And yours?" The man—Hyunjin—replied, and Felix couldn't help but think that the name suited him perfectly.
"Felix," he responded with single-worded simplicity, grabbing his glass and downing his second drink. Escaping the pain of the day seemed increasingly appealing, and perhaps the alcohol would help him forget, even if only temporarily.
As the night wore on, the conversation between Felix and Hyunjin fizzled out, leaving Felix both drunk and in pain. The realization that his heat was looming, something he had planned to discuss with Mason as they had been considering starting a family, hit him like a ton of bricks. But in the midst of the alcohol-fueled haze, he had forgotten all about the conversation and the precautions he had intended to take.
Unable to locate Wooyoung or San in the crowd, Felix grew increasingly anxious as the scent of alphas in the bar permeated his senses. He knew he couldn't stay in this crowded environment for much longer, fearing that his scent would soon attract unwanted attention.
While his logical side told him to go outside and wait for Wooyoung, who would offer him some protection from alphas, his intoxicated state urged him to continue drinking, further fueling the rise of his preheat. His mind became a jumbled mess as he rested his head on the table, the heat tormenting his body and clouding his judgment.
A voice broke through the fog, and Felix struggled to lift his head, managing only a glance to identify the source. The words caught in his throat, replaced by a whine as the proximity to alphas accelerated his preheat.
"Come on, let's go outside," Hyunjin whispered, pulling Felix to his feet and guiding him out of the bar. Felix clung to the taller man, his brain fogged by the heat-induced haze.
"Should I take you home?" Hyunjin asked, an edge of concern lacing his words. Felix whimpered, shaking his head in response. "N-no, can't go home."
Hyunjin studied him for a moment, sighing softly before scanning their surroundings discreetly. "Do you want to go home with me?" he asked, his words causing Felix's eyes to widen as he looked up at the man.
Overwhelmed by the impending intensity of his heat, Felix felt his ability to refuse slowly slip away. The pain already coursing through his body made it difficult to find the strength to resist. With a hesitant nod, he clung even tighter to Hyunjin, seeking solace and comfort in his presence.
Wordlessly, Hyunjin guided Felix into his car, the rhythmic tapping of his fingers on the steering wheel accompanied by soft music filling the air. Felix's exhaustion took hold, and he succumbed to a deep sleep, his head lolling to the side as he peered out the window.
When Felix stirred, it was to the sensation of his seatbelt being unbuckled and his body effortlessly lifted into the strong embrace of Hyunjin's arms. Powerless to protest, he allowed himself to be carried, his limbs limp, until he slowly opened his eyes to find himself gently lowered onto a luxurious bed.
The intensity of their gaze held them both captive, a silent understanding passing between them. In that moment, Felix's primal instincts took over, and he seized the back of Hyunjin's head, smashing their lips together. Knowing his heat would soon become unbearable without his heat blockers, Felix moaned softly as Hyunjin reciprocated with a fervent, demanding kiss.
Hyunjin climbed onto the bed, discarding his shoes, their desire growing with each passing second. But it was more than raw desire between them—there was a desperate need for relief, for a connection that could ground Felix during his heat.
Felix began to pull on Hyunjin's shirt, urging him to take it off, while simultaneously clawing at his own shirt. Hyunjin gently grabbed Felix's hand, halting his movements. "Hold on, baby," Hyunjin whispered as he helped Felix shed his clothes and then removed his own. As Felix felt a surge of excitement building up, he moaned in pleasure when Hyunjin sucked on one of his nipples, causing Felix to instinctively grip onto Hyunjin's hair.
"It hurts," Felix whimpered as a sudden wave of pain washed over him, eliciting a small whimper from his lips. Hyunjin kissed down Felix's stomach, coming to a stop once he reached Felix's erection. Felix's eyes widened as he felt Hyunjin's warm mouth enveloping him. Moans escaped Felix's mouth as he tugged on Hyunjin's hair, panting heavily. It was evident that he wouldn't last long if Hyunjin continued to pleasure him in that manner. A few minutes later, Felix moaned, throwing his head back as he climaxed, his release flowing down Hyunjin's throat. Hyunjin smirked, licking his lips before moving atop the smaller boy.
Struggling to keep his eyes open, Felix pulled Hyunjin closer, initiating another passionate kiss as he pressed against him, letting out soft moans. Hyunjin reciprocated the sounds of pleasure as he inserted two fingers into Felix, causing him to moan as slickness flowed from him. Kissing down Felix's throat, Hyunjin added a third finger, prompting Felix to arch his back and squirm beneath him.
"Please, please, please," Felix pleaded, writhing and panting, the overwhelming pleasure making it impossible for him to open his eyes.
"What do you want, baby?" Hyunjin inquired knowingly, sucking on Felix's collarbone and peppering gentle kisses wherever he could reach.
"Please, fuck me,” Felix begged with a whimper, prompting Hyunjin to gently nip at his neck.
Without delay, Hyunjin entered Felix, causing a loud moan to escape from Felix's lips. Felix cooed as his head fell to the side and his hands grasped onto the sheet beneath him.
"So good, baby," Hyunjin panted, starting to slowly thrust into Felix. After a few minutes of Felix urging him to quicken the pace, Hyunjin obliged, increasing the tempo. Felix cried out when Hyunjin hit his sweet spot, wrapping his arms around Hyunjin as he rode his lover, moaning as Hyunjin penetrated him even deeper. The two men moaned harmoniously as Hyunjin continued to thrust.
As Hyunjin withdrew, Felix whined, prompting Hyunjin to flip him onto his stomach before thrusting back into him swiftly. Felix moaned again, the sound muffled by the pillow his face was buried in. Desperately, Felix pushed back, ensuring Hyunjin's entire length was inside him. Hyunjin groaned as he smacked Felix's ass, causing Felix to cry out softly into the pillow.
The last thing Felix recalled was the sensation of Hyunjin's knot expanding within him and the feeling of teeth sinking into his neck. Shortly after, he drifted into unconsciousness.
