Work Text:
Phew... it was still a bit chilly as Calli stepped out of the barbecue place where she had dinner with her coworkers. Despite the bustling atmosphere, she found it oddly calming. Blowing into her hands and feeling the warmth in her cheeks, she sighed and started walking towards the bus station. She knew her lover wouldn't be thrilled to learn that she had unknowingly consumed alcohol during dinner. The sky had just turned dark, and it was still relatively early. They had unexpectedly finished work early that day and decided to have an early dinner together.
As Calli walked, she noticed a flower shop with a saleslady standing outside, greeting passersby. It suddenly dawned on her that it was Valentine's Day. She mentally scolded herself for being so oblivious lately.
Curiosity got the better of Calli, and she approached the saleslady. She glanced at the featured flowers on display, taking her time to decide on the perfect bouquet. After about 30 minutes of contemplation, she made her purchase and continued on her way.
Arriving home at precisely 7:50, Calli noticed that the lights were on, indicating that her lover, Ina, had already returned. She took off her shoes and placed the flowers on the couch before heading to the kitchen, where she could hear Ina cooking. Ina was wearing a cute purple shirt that Calli had gifted her, along with a white pajama.
Calli wasted no time and embraced Ina from behind, relieved as she caught the familiar and comforting scent of her lover's cologne.
"Calli! You startled me. I didn't know you were home already... Wait, did you drink? I thought you guys were just eating out?" Ina said, giggling and patting Calli's head, nestling into her neck.
"Hello, Ina. I missed you. Yes, I did have a drink. We weren't planning on it, but they ordered a few beers. I'm sorry about that," Calli explained.
Ina giggled and responded, "You're always extra sweet when you drink. I can't say I don't like it, but let's try to keep it to a minimum, okay?"
"Hmm... yes. By the way, I got you something. Come," Calli said, changing the subject.
Ina finished cooking and removed her apron before following Calli to the living room. There, she was greeted by a bouquet of lilies and a bunch of her favorite chocolates, which Calli had bought from a nearby convenience store. Calli was fortunate to have stumbled upon a flower shop that still had lilies available.
"Happy Valentine's, my love," Calli said, her smile filled with warmth.
"Calli... this is so sweet. Thank you so much. I thought you wouldn't remember," Ina replied, her smile widening as she immediately hugged Calli tightly.
Calli chuckled. "I did forget... but fortunately, I remembered before it was too late."
"I was dropping hints, you know. And I was right that you didn't catch on," Ina teased, recalling her playful attempts to remind Calli about Valentine's Day. She had casually mentioned her love for flowers and her craving for chocolates a few times, but Calli had only remembered to buy the chocolates.
"But of course, I got you something too, dear," Ina said, disappearing into their room for a moment before returning with a large paper bag, which she handed to Calli.
The bag contained a bouquet of crocheted red carnation flowers and various chocolates. Calli was amazed and shocked at the same time.
"You crocheted these? They look amazing, Ina! What the heck?" Calli exclaimed.
Ina couldn't help but laugh at Calli's reaction. "No need to praise me that much, dear. I might get a big head, but I have to admit... I did a good job with the crochet flowers." She smiled proudly at her creation.
Calli hugged Ina tightly and showered her with pecks on her cheeks. "Thank you for this, my love."
Their affectionate display of love escalated into a series of sweet, lingering kisses on the lips and neck. Calli's hands began to explore Ina's body, eliciting shivers and goosebumps of pleasure. The softness and gentleness of Calli's touch made Ina feel intoxicated with desire. Calli's hand ventured further, massaging Ina's thigh, as they continued to kiss. The kiss was blissful, and Calli could taste the lip balm on Ina's lips.
Ina eventually broke the kiss, resting her head on Calli's shoulder to catch her breath. The intensity of their connection left her hands resting on Calli's back. Calli continued to plant kisses on Ina's neck and collarbone, leaving faint marks in the hidden areas.
"Hmm..." Ina expressed her satisfaction.
“I like it when you're vocal, Ina”
Calli's playful teasing had sparked a desire between them, a longing that lingered in the air for a few moments. Her hands found their way to Ina's shirt, ready to explore further, while Ina reciprocated the desire, her hand resting on the garter of Calli's pajamas. However, amidst their growing passion, Ina's practicality kicked in, reminding her of the food she had prepared.
With a sigh, Ina gently halted their escalating intimacy. "Dear, can we continue this after we eat dinner? The food is getting cold."
Calli, slightly breathless and caught up in the moment, quickly composed herself. "Oh, yeah. I'm sorry, I got carried away."
Ina smiled, readjusting her shirt and pajamas. "It's fine. Can you help me set the table? And please, join me for dinner. I know you've already eaten, but it would mean a lot to me."
Calli giggled, her excitement undimmed. "Yes, Ma'am." She trailed behind Ina as they made their way to the kitchen.
Curiosity piqued, Calli asked, "What did you make, Ina?" as she grabbed the plates, spoon, and fork.
Ina's eyes sparkled with affection. "I made spaghetti, dear. I wanted to share this meal with you, so I put in a lot of effort to make it just the way you like."
Calli's heart warmed at Ina's thoughtfulness. "That's incredibly sweet, Ina. Thank you for this."
Ina carefully laid the steaming dish on the table, and Calli wasted no time in taking the first bite, savoring the flavors that danced on her tongue. Her eyes widened with delight.
"Ina, this is amazing," Calli exclaimed. "You're such a talented cook."
Ina's relief was evident in her sigh. "It's wonderful to hear that you like it."
Calli's smile grew sweeter. "I've never disliked any of the dishes you've cooked. I genuinely enjoy them all”
Ina's happiness overflowed, her heart swelling with love. "Your honesty means the world to me, dear. Cooking for you brings me so much joy, partly because of the reactions you make”
As they continued to enjoy their meal, their conversation flowed effortlessly, filled with laughter, affectionate glances, and words of appreciation. The simple act of sharing a meal together became a testament to the depth of their connection.
As the evening progressed, they remained at the table, savoring the warmth of their love. Eventually, they decided it was time to clear the table, and they worked together, their hands occasionally brushing against each other, hinting at the passionate moments to come.
In the quiet moments that followed, they embraced, their bodies intertwined, their desires met with an intensity that only strengthened their connection. Their passionate moment that was halted continued and both were happy. All the kisses, marks, and scratches were evident of a good time and a fruitful night. The following morning, both Calli and Ina called in sick for work and continued to embrace each other contented at the extended time with each other.
