Chapter Text
‘’What’s the next stop?’’
Jimin looks at the scattered posters on top of the inn table, a jumble of papers that right now don’t make any sense. He’s quite meticulous when it comes to organization, but he’s too tired to even try to put them in order right now .
‘’We can try and find the plants for incense Elder Omega Hyun asked for,’’ Jimin says as he grabs the handwritten note, sliding it through his fingers. ‘’There should be a market stall with exotic spices close to the inn, and if I remember correctly, the herbs we need are from the other side of the sea. Maybe they have them.’’
Jeongguk places his chin on top of his knuckles, a grin on his face. ‘’Why do you never call him grandpa ?’’
‘’Because it feels weird,’’ Jimin scoffs, rolling his eyes. ‘’He’s Elder Omega Hyun, and nothing else.’’
‘’But it’s been two winters, love. You should get used to the fact that he’s your mother’s omega father. Also known as your grandparent.’’
‘’My family consists of you and your mother,’’ Jimin shrugs. ‘’I’m not interested in anyone else.’’
Jeongguk gasps, placing a hand on his heart. ‘’Not even Taehyung hyung? Oh, don’t let him hear you said that.’’
Jimin groans, softly kicking at the alpha’s shin under the table. ‘’Taehyung is too preoccupied with his mate and his new pup to even come and say hello. We’ve been in Seori for seven moons and I haven’t seen him yet. He’s a traitor.’’
‘’Soobin is a lot to handle,’’ Jeongguk laughs, resting his hand on top of Jimin’s and caressing his knuckles. He’s right, and Jimin hates to admit it, but since Taehyung and Namjoon took Soobin under their care, they’ve been busy. ‘’And we didn’t go to say hello either. We came to Seori for a reason, darling. Maybe we were also a bit… preoccupied.’’
‘’Well, you are right. Yoongi’s heat is also a lot to handle. He needs both of us to cuddle and scent him constantly. And then our wolves, well. They do crave each other after his heat ends.’’
Jimin is not complaining about that. He actually loves Yoongi’s heats, because it means he and Jeongguk can have wild sex once they are alone. And he loves it way too much, how his inner omega claws at his insides, wanting to break free and claim their alpha in such a primal and visceral sense.
Two winters have passed since Jeongguk has been crowned as the leader of the Jeon clan, and in that time, much has changed. The once secluded clan has opened its boundaries to the outside world, embracing new opportunities for trade and commerce. With the establishment of commercial routes, the clan flourishes, its members thriving in a newfound era of prosperity and freedom.
Both Jimin and Jeongguk, not really liking being stuck at one place for too long, had embarked on a journey together, traveling across the region as mercenaries for hire. With their unique skills and unwavering determination, they have carved a name for themselves in the world of mercenaries, earning a reputation for their loyalty, bravery, and unwavering sense of justice.
Their travels take them to distant forests and lands, where they encounter challenges and adversaries beyond their wildest imaginations. Yet through it all, they stand by each other’s side, facing each obstacle with courage and resilience.
As they traverse the rugged terrains in their wolf forms and navigate the complexities of the world around them, Jimin finds comfort in his mate’s company, their bond growing stronger with each passing moon. Together, they laugh in the face of danger, dance beneath the light of the stars, and share moments of quiet intimacy amidst the chaos of their adventures.
And though their path is fraught with uncertainty and peril, they face the future with unwavering optimism and determination, knowing that as long as they have each other, they will overcome any obstacle that stands in their way.
As they journey into the horizon, their hearts filled with hope and their spirits ablaze with the promise of new adventures, Jimin knows that their love will guide them through whatever trials lie ahead. For in the end, it is not the destination that matters, but the journey itself—and together, they are ready to face whatever the future holds, united in a bond that transcends time and space.
‘’Hyung,’’ Jeongguk says softly, drawing Jimin’s attention away from the quest paper files. He looks up, and when his gaze meets his mate’s, there’s a cheeky sparkle in his eyes that only means trouble. ‘’Seokjin and Hoseok hyung are not in the inn right now. Do you think they will mind if we go upstairs?’’
‘’You are really insatiable.’’
‘’For you? Always.’’
The End.
