[THE SOUR DEMON AND THE DEPRESSED PAL]

If Helltaker claimed to have a grasp on the situation, he would be a goddamn liar. In his living room was Malina...who was playing video games with something blue humanoid thing. Helltaker didn't know what the hell the thing was, but by the look on its face, it wasn't satisfied with its life at all.

"I don't even..." Helltaker didn't know where to begin. "Malina, who the heck is the little fellow beside you?"

Malina glanced at Helltaker before returning her attention to the television, engrossed in a game of Mortal Kombat. "Him?" Malina gestured to the little guy beside her. Unbeknownst to the Sour Demon, it was a Depresso, renowned for its melancholic nature. Secretly, it was kindhearted. "I dunno, dude. I found the little guy while out shopping for games, and something about him piqued my interest, so I took him home with me."

Depresso gave Helltaker the peace sign, sitting on Malina's head. The Sour Demon didn't seem to mind all that much.

"Riiight..." Honestly, Helltaker had no room to criticize others for bringing home weird things. After all, he was the one who was responsible for bringing demon women from the depths of Hell and welcoming them into his abode. "Question: do the others know about him, or is it just you?"

"They know," Malina answered, taking a shot of Rokita. "Hell, some of them have gotten their pets."

Helltaker blinked twice. "Wut...?" Helltaker looked at Malina as though she had a bug on her face. "Pets? Care to be more specific, dear?"

"Weird animals have been showing up out of nowhere, and no one knows where they're coming from." Helltaker tilted his head. Weird animals? What the hell did that mean? "The only thing we know is that they make good pets. Judge got some lamb thing and has been with it ever since."

"Ay dios mío..." Helltaker pinched the bridges of his nose. "In any case, doing do anything you're not supposed to do."

Malina snorted in reaction. "What do you take me for, Cerberus?" she said, almost annoyed. "Unlike those clowns, I know how to act normal."

"Which is why I love you." Helltaker rubbed Malina's cheek, causing her to blush in response. "You're the only person who causes no problems."

Embarrassed, Malina smacked Helltaker's hand away. "Knock it off!" she exclaimed. "Don't you pancakes to make or something. Get on it!"

"Alright, alright." Helltaker raised his hands in defense before turning to Depresso. "You want packages, new guy?"

Surprisingly, Depresso's frown turned into a small smirk as he gave Helltaker the thumbs-up.

"I'll take that as a yes," Helltaker smiled, walking into the kitchen.

Notes:

Thank you for reading...whatever the hell that was. Frankly, I made this just for the excuse of putting Malina and Depresso together; I think they would get along...probably. I also did this for the excuse of making a Palworld story. I recently played the game and I like it. Most call it a Pokemon rip-off and I see why, but I had a fun time. Anyway, I'll catch you guys later :)
