   Summary

   Four years after L's passing, Near finally turns 18 and ages out of the foster care system. It's not a very happy occasion, even if Matt tries to pretend so by inviting him and Mello out for drinks.

   Near knew, theoretically, that alcohol disables all your behavioural filters, but he was about to have a first-hand account of it.
