Percy paced around the apartment, fiddling with her deep purple bracelet. Sally and Paul had gone out for the night. Any moment now Annabeth would arrive. They'd decided on a nice simple movie night in, after all there were still a lot of movies she hadn't seen yet that should be counted as classics.
She stopped by the coffee table. Percy had gotten them plenty of snacks, most of which were blue. She'd even managed blue popcorn. She just hoped Annabeth would like it. There was a knock at the door. Percy scrambled to get there as quick as possible.
Annabeth greeted her with a smile and a bouquet of blue flowers.
"So am I on a date with my boyfriend, girlfriend, or partner?" she asked. Percy raised her wrist revealing the purple bracelet.
"Girlfriend," she muttered.
"Brilliant," Annabeth said, taking her hand and letting Percy lead them to the sofa. She'd already set up their first movie, an old favourite of hers. The Black Cauldron. Though it had scared her a little as kid.
Annabeth dropped her backpack onto the floor in front of the sofa and pulled Percy into her side as she started up the movie. Percy hummed slightly, and relaxed into her. These were their favourite dates, safe at home relaxing together. Away from everything else. Just being a normal couple for once.
