“Is that Neji?”
Sasuke leaps out of his seat like a startled rabbit, headphones falling out from the movement, not having noticed Sai looking over his partition. A few of the other students look over, woken out of their silent studying. He cradles his phone to his chest, squirming away from the other brunette.
“I didn’t know you were friends.”
“We’re not,” he hisses.
“But you’ve been staring at his Instagram for ten minutes.”
Sai does, thankfully, not know him very well. Otherwise, this would be much more mortifying. Thankfully, the other people sitting in the carrels around them are listening to something and can’t hear this humiliating conversation.
Or, Sasuke - on the verge of a burnout - becomes a little bit of a stalker.
