bad idea right?

Summary:

Simone's half-brother Anthony invited her to an afterparty where some famous people go to have a blast of a party. But it feels like the more time she spends at the party, the more she wants to go home with Jeremy… it’s a bad idea, right?

Notes:

Even though Anthony is Simone's half-brother, I’m not gonna keep saying “half-brother”, so if it says brother then you know what I mean. And Simone is 22, so she’s old enough.

Simone’s POV

Halloween. 2023.

My black curly hair was up in a ponytail as I wore a loose, revealing black dress, see-through grey tights, really long, black leather boots and cat ears and tail – with black makeup on my face to show a cute little nose and whiskers, and of course fangs – I walked into the undisclosed location of an afterparty somewhere in Los Angeles. I was Anthony Mackie’s plus-one, and I was his half-sister, surprisingly.

“Simi!” And that was his annoying voice. I was joking of course. I could see he was dressed as zombie Falcon – a very unoriginal idea if you ask me. But I noticed him talking to Sebastian Stan – who was Cowboy Ken – and someone else; I waved at him as I walked over to the group and as I got closer to them, I realised who the third person was.

No fuckin’ way.

“Jeremy?” I exclaimed out loud as I recognised the dimples in Renner’s face when he smiled. Yes, I didn’t acknowledge Anthony or Sebastian that much, but can you blame me? I haven’t seen Jeremy since I did some voice work for his film, Arctic Dogs.

I was trying to figure out what Jeremy was wearing exactly. Was he like a vampire? Or some kind of Joker? I could see some kind of temporary hair dye in his hair.

“Hey, Simone!” I heard him excitedly say back to me, and I then felt him hug me and softly kiss my cheek. I tried not to freak out as I heard snickering from my brother’s mouth. Jeremy had a confusing look on his face as we both pulled away.

I gave Anthony a look, tilting my head with a look as I glared at him. “Anthony Dwane Mackie. Don’t you fuckin’ snigger at me.”
“What? I-I was not sniggering at all!” Anthony said, looking like I offended him in some way and a hand on his chest, gasping out loud, to which Sebastian playfully slapped his ‘friend’s’ arm. “Anyways, are you dressed as a sexy cat?”
“Mh-hm. A sexy vampire cat, to be more exact.” I explained to them, showing off the bite mark that was on my neck and the fangs of course, which made Sebastian have a confused look on his face.
“I didn’t know cats could be vampires…”
“It’s called using your imagination, Sebastian,” Anthony remarked.
“Well, I think it looks good on you, Simone.”

I heard Jeremy complimenting me and I tried not to blush at his words.

“And what are you supposed to be, Mackie? Because going as your own character is so predictable for you.” Jeremy then asked Mackie.

I just nodded at what Jeremy just said, his laughter was quite loud. I could hear him trying to get his words out, his drink going down the wrong way.

“I’m sorry, but that costume is so unoriginal!”
“Oh, so going as a sexy vampire is any better?” As Anthony said that, Jeremy had a confused look on his face. ‘Was he not a vampire?’ I thought to myself. As he showed my brother that he didn’t have any fake fangs in his mouth, it was clear that he wasn’t dressed as a vampire.

“Does this look like I’m a vampire?”
“Not really mate,” Sebastian said casually, with a shrug of his shoulders. “What are you supposed to be exactly?”
“I’m supposed to be Lucifer. From the show? Hence the suit and the slight red hair dye….” Jeremy tried to explain to Anthony, Sebastian and myself, but the Falcon and Winter Soldier duo couldn’t see it. They then started to complain about where his horns and wings were.

But I was digging the costume. It did look like he was blooded up and the suit was teared up. He looked quite hot like that.

“Doesn’t Lucifer have horns or, at least wings?” Anthony asked him.
“Well yes, but even though he does have them, does he show them all the time? No.”
“Well, I think it’s a cool outfit idea actually,” I said out loud, but I wouldn’t expect to say the next thing that came out of my mouth. “It’s actually quite hot.” My hands went to my mouth as quick as the Flash, and my eyes noticed Anthony – again – trying so hard not to laugh out loud. Sebastian was facing away from us, so I couldn’t tell if he was sniggering.

Of course, I was too scared to see Jeremy’s reaction.

Little did I know that he was smirking at my unique choice of words.

“Ooh, they’re doing karaoke!” I exhaled as Anthony changed the subject, but I was dreading for him to ask me to sing. “Sis, you should definitely sing!”
“Wait, you can sing?” That surprised Jeremy as I sighed, shrugging my shoulders. I didn’t want to sing in front of a few hundred people. That was not my thing.
“Y-yeah…?” I said with slight hesitation to my voice.
“Please could you sing for me?” Anthony pleaded with me.

All that I could was freeze for a moment. But it looked like Jeremy could see the nervousness in me as he placed a hand on my shoulder, which seemed to calm me down slightly.

“If she doesn’t want to sing, then she doesn’t have to,” Jeremy told Anthony with a stern look on his face.
“Fine, fine… But anyway me and Sebastian are going to go up. C’mon, Seb!”
“Wait what-”

I didn’t even hear Sebastian trying to get his words out or see Anthony pulling his best mate towards the karaoke machine as I was quite distracted by Jeremy himself… Which only left me and Jeremy on our own. My anxiousness rose as soon as I realised that it was only the two of us together.

I couldn’t think of anything to say to him. Other than…

“So how have you been since… y’know?” I asked him, not wanting to bring the taboo subject up. I didn’t know if it was a good thing to ask him about his well-being after his accident. But as soon as I heard him say that he was well, that lifted my spirits a little bit.
“I’ve been well, I guess… how about you?” He asked me with a soft smile.
“Meh. I mean, my career in both music and acting is going alright. I was in the Barbie movie-”
“Oh shit yeah! You were the… daughter, right?” I just nodded as Jeremy continued to say. “I didn’t mean any of what I said about Barbie…”
All I did was laugh. “Don’t worry Jeremy. I don’t take offence to any of that.” She chuckled with a slight blush on her face.

Jeremy also laughed softly, with a small smile on his face.

“That’s good. I don’t want to be mean to you.” Jeremy said to me, to which I raised an eyebrow at what he said.
“What? Jay, you’ve never been mean to me… what do you mean?” I asked him with a confused look on my face.
“Well, I’ve never wanted to be disrespectful or angry at you. I know how you hate grappling with emotions and people being mean to you. It makes you annoyed–”
“Jeremy… what are you going on about?”

Jeremy moved closer towards me and cleared his throat.

“Well…” Jeremy was trying to get his words out, and I realised he was trying to avoid eye contact with me. Not deliberately of course, but I had a feeling why he was being like this around me.
“Jeremy… is it because you like me, not as a friend, but romantically?” I asked him, with a blush on my face, hesitantly touching his arm.
He looked at me with a slight chuckle coming up his throat, managing to face me again. “I guess that’s what I’m trying to say, yeah.”

I just looked at him with a bright smile, and he could see the blush on my face. I saw him move even closer towards me, and it felt like the world had stopped spinning. Did his arm accidentally touch my own?

“Do you want to get out of here, Simone? This party is a bit of a bore, right?” Jeremy asked, standing beside me and unconsciously parting his lips, clearing his throat.
“You want to leave my brother and his friend here?” I retort back, noticing that Jeremy was sipping his drink and licking his lips.
“Well, I think he’s doing quite well here actually,” Jeremy said as he pointed towards my brother, who was clearly flirting with Sebastian. I knew that they had a thing, but I always thought that it was a joke or something.

Anthony and Sebastian were still at the karaoke machine, singing some kind of rap/hip-hop song – to which I couldn’t figure out what the song was – and I noticed that my brother was sexually gazing at Sebastian, exploring his body. And then Sebastian was reaching out to slide his fingers down to Anthony’s hand and pulling him close.

“Okay then. We can get out of here.” I smiled at him before he took my hand and led me out of the undisclosed location of the party.

As we both got to his place – as he had a house in LA if he was visiting the city – he had some things to take into his home, so his hands were quite full as he was carrying some bags. “Do you mind getting the door? My keys are in my pocket.” Jeremy angled himself so that I could get to his pocket. I put my hand into his jeans pocket but there were no keys that I could feel.

“Uhm… darlin’, those aren’t my keys.” Jeremy awkwardly said with a slight chuckle, as he looked away.
“Oh shit! Fuck, I am so sorry Jay!” A flush creeps across my cheeks, as I moved my hand out of his pocket as quickly as lightning, my ears turned red as she thought sweat was falling down my forehead.
“It’s okay. They’re actually in my jacket pocket. The one closest to you.” Jeremy said with a chuckle and a smirk, as he watched me slowly putting my hand in the pocket of his suit jacket. I started to rummage my hand around it until I felt them, taking them out.

I took the bags out of his hand for him, as I wasn’t sure which way the key turned to unlock the door, so he did that whilst I waited for him to open the door. After he did, he smiled as a ‘thank you’, taking the bags out of my hands and letting me in first.

As he closed the door behind us, I watched him walk over to the kitchen and put the bags on the counter. He must’ve gone shopping earlier in the day. A lack of eye contact was definitely there for me, realising that he was walking back towards me.

“Please Simone, make yourself comfortable.” He gestured towards the couch in the room and I nodded slightly, slowly walking over towards it. As I sat down in the seat, Jeremy was simply leaning against the doorway with a smirk on his face, tilting his head like he was quite interested in me.

And I instantly knew he was DEFINITELY interested in me.

“So..?” I said with a nervous tick, a small smile grew on my face as I observed him walking over to me. Was he trying to change his posture and walk to fit the character he was dressed up as? Or was it normal? “You romantically like me then?” I asked him, to which he chuckled softly.

He then sat next to me, putting his arm around me. “Yeah, I do…” He then placed his other hand on my face, before leaning down and gently pressing his lips to mine. It made me gasp softly as our lips met, and I felt an electric charge jolt through my body. I was lost in the moment, consumed by the heat of his mouth on mine.

As we pulled away, we both shared a soft intake of breath; we looked at each other with a smile and all I could say to it was, “Wow” as I heard Jeremy chuckle softly.

“You liked that?” He asked me – my face was as red as a tomato –  as I nodded slowly. I then gained the confidence to put my hands on the back of his neck, pulling his head closer towards mine. “Oh... you want another one, darlin’?” He asked me with a smile, innocently letting me take the lead on what was about to happen.

“Perhaps I want something more…” I decided to flirt with him, to which I noticed him raising an eyebrow with a smile on his face.
“You sure about that?” Jeremy retorted back at me.
“Jay, I’m only 22. I want you to be my first time, I’m sure of that.” I nodded at him, confessing that I hadn’t had my virginity taken from me yet, and Jeremy was going to be my first time. And he was quite surprised about that.

“Wait, y-you’re a virgin?” He asked me with a raised eyebrow. And all I did was nod nervously, biting my lip. “Simone, it’s okay. I’ll make sure your first time is… memorable.” He said to me with a smile, to which I retaliated back.

I felt his hand lifting up my chin, and his thumb rubbing my soft and delicate bottom lip. “Really?”
“I’m definitely sure, Mona.” I heard him chuckle deeply.

I instantly blushed at the nickname as I felt him pull my body towards his, as close as he could, before kissing me again passionately. Of course, I kissed him back, feeling his hands on my waist and I moaned softly against his lips.
