The wind brushes softly against Y/n’s fur, and there’s a strong body underneath her, their muscles shifting from a steady trot. It’s comforting with an alpha scent of sweet tobacco and clove. Y/n’s nose twitches from the smell as she chuffs and gets her bearings about.
‘Noona?’ a soft voice filters through her head.
The body under her slows to stop and she feels a wet snout press against her maw. ‘Noona? Are you back?’
Y/n peeks her eyes open, wincing from the effort it takes. Felix’s blonde coat obscures her vision, and she chuffs, flicking him with her tail. ‘I’m here.’
‘Oh, thank gods.’ Felix licks her cheek. ‘You scared us.’
‘Sorry,’ Y/n mumbles. ‘Blacked out from shifting.’
‘Figured as much.’ Seungcheol’s wolf walks up to her with Jeonghan on his back. ‘You doing okay? How’s your head?’
‘I don’t know.’ Y/n tries to move but groans as her body aches in protest. ‘It’s heavy. Everything’s heavy.’
Glancing around, Y/n sees her siblings pressed between Jungkook and a wolf with a black coat and brown patches. Her nose tells her it’s Changbin though, so the panic disappears as soon as it suddenly rises. There are two other wolves she assumes are Minghao and Mingyu, so that means Eunkwang is carrying her.
‘I hate to say it, but you’ll need to shift again,’ Seungcheol says as Felix scents her, Jeonghan gently running his fingers over her forehead and between her ears. It’s so soothing and eases the pain just a bit. ‘We’re here. We’ve just got a 15-minute trek and we’ll be there.’
Y/n grunts. ‘Fine.’
‘You can lay on me until you’re ready to move,’ Eunkwang says as he slowly drops to his belly on the grass. ‘Take your time, pup. Don’t rush it.’
Y/n slowly lifts her head and licks his maw in gratitude. The movement instantly makes her whimper, and she drops her head on his.
“Easy, easy.” Jeonghan soothes. “Slowly.”
Y/n sits there for a minute just breathing and listening to the others shift and change their clothes to regulate herself. When she feels Alina and Jaesung shift, she takes in a deep breath and conjures up her human form, coaxing her wolf back inside with gentle promises of shifting when she’s healed. It feels like she’s been punched in the face when it’s done, her vision whiting but she balances herself on Eunkwang’s back and breathes through it.
“There you go.” Jeonghan takes her hand as Felix presses her shirt over her breasts. “Just breathe.”
Y/n hums, taking the shirt from Felix with a chuff of thanks.
“Here.” A hand extends with her black sports bra, and Y/n lifts her gaze.
Changbin’s eyes are averted, his cheeks are pink, and Y/n snickers as she takes it from him. “What, never touched a bra before?”
“Yah!” Changbin exclaims as Felix and Jeonghan laugh at him. “It’s not that! I have a sister, I’ve touched a bra before!”
“Ah, so you’re bitchless is what you’re saying.” Y/n nods, securely tugging the bra over her breast. “Good to know.”
Changbin growls at her and she grins. “I’m kidding, Changbin. Calm down.”
The others politely turn away from her as she changes except Jeonghan. She figures it’s because of her concussion, so she says nothing about it. Once her jacket's on, she pats Eunkwang’s back to tell him to shift.
Jungkook approaches her with her weapons in his hands. “I hope it’s alright, but we decided I’d carry you on my back while we walked.”
Y/n smiles softly. “That’s okay. I appreciate the help.”
“Okay.” he smiles back, holding up the garters. “Mind if I put these on you?”
“Oh.” she blinks. “Sure, thanks.”
Jungkook nods and drops to his knee to put on her thigh garters first. She meets Felix’s gaze over his head and the male omega wiggles his eyebrows suggestively. Changbin smirks when he sees it and Y/n rolls her eyes.
“Shut up, Felix,” she shakes her head.
His giggle warms her heart, and she smiles at the sound.
Alina approaches her, holding Jaesung’s hand. “Hey, Unnie.”
“Hey, pup.” Y/n cups her chin and rubs Jaesung’s head. “How are you two feeling?”
“‘M okay.” Alina nods.
Jaesung pouts. “Noona, I’m tired of walking. I wanna nap.”
Y/n snorts, bending down to kiss his temple. “Noona, too. I wanna sleep for a whole year.”
“Like sleeping beauty!” Jaesung exclaims, childish glee filling his eyes.
“Ugh.” Alina rolls her eyes. “I hate that movie. It’s so stupid.”
“It’s not stupid!” Jaesung argues, tugging on Alina’s hand.
She frowns at him. “Yeah, it is. Some ugly blonde boy kisses a dumb girl he doesn’t even know and magically breaks a curse and calls it love. They don’t even know each other! It’s stupid!”
Jungkook snorts as he tugs on Y/n’s chest harness. “Cute.”
“It’s not stupid! It’s-it’s romance or whatever!” Jaesung shakes her hand.
They start arguing and the adults watch in amusement before Y/n finally interrupts, separating them by a tug on the ear.
“Alright, cut it out!” she shouts.
Alina sticks her tongue out at Jaesung as the younger pup grunts, crossing his arms over his chest with glossy eyes.
“Stop it.” Y/n flicks Alina’s nose. “It’s just a movie. Quit acting like babies.”
“But-”
“Jaesung.” Y/n settles him with a glare. “Alina is allowed to dislike something and have her own opinion on it, just like you are. Don’t get offended. That’s just life.”
Jaesung growls, his eyes flashing green. “Whatever… Her movie was stupider.”
Y/n clamps a hand over Alina’s mouth before she can pick another fight. “Alright, shut up about it. Either get over it or keep your opinions to yourself. We need to get a move on.”
“Fine.” Alina huffs when Y/n removes her hand.
Jaesung simply hides his face into Changbin’s side, still pouting, and Y/n rolls her eyes. “Children.”
“They’re adorable.” Jeonghan grins. “All siblings fight.”
Y/n grunts. “Wait until yours is old enough. You’ll be biting your ears off when they constantly yap about everything.”
Jeonghan’s ears turn red as Mingyu and Minghao smirk at him. Seungcheol approaches him with a dopey look on his face and Y/n turns before she pukes at the inevitable display of affection.
Eunkwang gently cups her elbow, and she lifts her head. “Yes?”
“Hey, I wanted to talk to you. Well-” the alpha glances at Seungcheol holding Jeonghan close. “-Seungcheol-ssi was actually supposed to tell you, but he’s a little preoccupied.”
Y/n snorts. “I see that.” She fully faces him. “What is it?”
“We were thinking about the possibilities when we get to the haven,” Eunkwang sighs, crossing his arms over his chest. “We don’t really know what we’re getting into, so we were thinking about ways to be safe.”
“We agreed that we’d never stray too far from each other for as long as we can help it, but since Seungcheol has his pack members and Jungkook’s already bonded with his own, that leaves you and the pups vulnerable,” he gives her a heavy look. “And you three and Jeonghan are the most important and have to be protected at all costs. We’ve all come to this agreement, so we were thinking about spinning a story of our two packs being friends and sticking close for safety and survival.”
“Ah,” Y/n nods. “Okay, makes sense. Seungcheol and his boys and you, Felix, and Changbin.”
“And you,” Eunkwang smiles, absently tracing his fingers over his own pack tattoo on his right wrist. “We don’t want to cross any lines by asking, but would you consider my temporary mark like Lix and Bin?”
Y/n blanches at the question and Eunkwang’s face pales. “Aish, I’m sorry. That’s too far, I get it. I-”
“No, no, wait.” Y/n grabs his hand before he can back away. “I understand why you’d ask, and I deeply appreciate the offer. That… That would mean a lot, actually. That way we can always communicate and-and the bond will transfer to Alina and Jaesung too.”
He nods. “Exactly, but don’t feel pressured to-”
Y/n shakes her head, cutting him off, and holds out her wrist. “Please, do it. I promise to be a good temp pack as long as we’ll have each other.”
Amusement fills Eunkwang’s eyes, and he chuffs, his lips pulling into a smirk as he gently cups her forearm. “You sure?”
“Positive.”
“Here.” Eunkwang tugs her to her knees and Felix instantly crowds her back. “You should probably be sitting for this.”
Changbin sits on her left with Jaesung and Alina on either side of him.
For a minute, Eunkwang simply traces his fingertips across the gland on her inner right wrist before he lifts it to sniff for the perfect spot. When he finds it, he licks one stripe over it and Y/n shudders, her heart in her throat.
“Okay.” Eunkwang meets her gaze, and she stares into his crimson orbs. “It’s gonna sting like hell, but it’ll soothe over.”
Y/n nods. “Okay. I’m ready.”
Eunkwang presses a kiss over her gland before opening his mouth and extending his fangs. The tips rest against her skin for a moment but then, he closes his eyes and sinks his teeth in. Y/n hisses from the pain, fighting her urge to yank her hand back, but Felix and Eunkwang keep tight grips on her as Eunkwang’s fangs sink even further.
Y/n feels the instant his venom extracts from his teeth and pools into her system. The first second, all she feels is blinding pain like nothing she’s felt before as she cries out, but it’s instantly replaced by ecstasy and then… a sense of home.
Her eyes flutter open, glowing gold, and meet Eunkwang’s bright red eyes. The bond snaps into place then and she’s engulfed in waves and waves of warmth. It’s strong, heavy, and sturdy like an alpha’s embrace and though she hasn’t had the opportunity, she knows without a doubt that that’s Eunkwang’s embrace she’s feeling.
The world blurs around her as they stare at each other, and they’re left standing before each other in wolf form in a bright green clearing with a glistening lake on their right. A gust of wind blows against their fur and fills their lungs with fresh air that reminds her of the crystal clear winds on a mountain.
Y/n’s heard of this place before, the moon goddess’s mindscape. It’s a place where wolves go when they first bond, but she never thought it’d look like this. So magical and alive, almost as if everything danced to the beat of their hearts.
Something tugs at her heart and urges Y/n forward, so she trots forward and into Eunkwang’s chest. He scents her all over with small chuffs and rumbles before they circle each other. She gazes up at him with bright eyes before she playfully bumps his snout with her own. Eunkwang presses back just as joyfully, their tails wagging like crazy.
No words are spoken, but there doesn’t need to be. They haven’t had time to get to know each other, but the chemistry between them as packmates is stronger than anything she’s felt before.
Eunkwang pulls away and nudges Y/n a step back with his muzzle, and she jolts as a gust of wind drenched in vanilla and jade blows over her. A split second later, she’s tackled to the ground by Felix and the two omegas go tumbling with happy yips and barks. Felix ends up pinning her down and licks her neck and maw, and she gleefully lets him.
That same black and brown wolf approaches them and sniffs at Y/n’s head, bringing his scent of cedar and tonka bean. Felix slides off her and Y/n climbs to her paws, tucking her head under Changbin’s. The alpha rumbles softly, scenting the space between her ears.
Eunkwang circles them protectively, but Y/n gets distracted by six black-shrouded masses encircling them, not even noticing her sister and brother playfully running back and forth through Eunkwang’s legs. The only thing she can see is their eyes. Red, green, silver, and gold. Three alphas, two omegas, and a beta. They’re not hidden but it feels like they’re untouchable by some invisible force.
Before Y/n can comment on it, she’s sucked back into reality with a sharp gasp, panting from the sudden rush of endorphins. Eunkwang is soothing her pack bite with his saliva as Alina and Jaesung lean on his sides. Changbin is holding her other hand, and Felix still has her in a back hug, rocking her from side to side.
“Shhh, it’s okay. You’re okay.” Felix pets her head. “We’re right here.”
“What the fuck?” she shudders, frantically glancing around. “That-That was the moon goddess’s mindscape.”
“Yep.” Changbin smiles, brushing Alina’s hair behind her ear. “It was.”
“Amazing, right?” Felix mumbles.
“Yeah,” she says breathlessly, incredulously. “I... I didn’t think it could be like that.”
“You took a lot longer than we did,” Changbin comments. “I think it’s because Lix has bonded with his mates, so he’s been there before, and I’m an alpha. It’s rumored that alphas don’t linger there for too long, but omegas have different bonds with the moon goddess, so they’re welcomed longer.”
“Your mindscape was different compared to mine and Binnie-hyung’s though,” Felix says, eyes blown wide with awe. “It was so pretty. Binnie-hyung’s was in the mountains and mine was at a beach in Australia!”
“Believe it or not-” Eunkwang pulls away from her wrist, lacing their fingers together. “-it’s different for every bond, so it was my first time in a place like that, too.” He smiles, meeting Y/n’s gaze. “Your mindscape is beautiful, Y/n. I’m excited to see where things go between us as a pack.”
Y/n beams. “Me too, Eunkwang-ssi.”
“You can call me oppa.” He huffs a laugh. “Though that feels embarrassing. Gods, I’m so old.”
Felix and Y/n giggle at him as Changbin shakes his head.
“Everything going well over here?” Seungcheol asks.
“Yep!” Felix bounces to his feet. “We’re all good.”
Changbin and Eunkwang help Y/n to her feet and hold onto her when her head swoons.
“You okay?” Eunkwang asks.
She hums. “Yep. Think it’s the concussion more than the pack bite.”
“So that is your pain.” Felix frowns. “You’re belittling your pain, Noona.”
Jeonghan instantly glares at her and she smiles sheepishly. “Not belittling… just not making it a big deal.”
She receives unamused looks from everyone and sighs. “I’m just trying to keep it together, okay? Now, let’s get going.”
‘I’m watching you, omega.’ Felix’s voice fills her head as the younger omega glowers at her and she snickers, delight filling her veins from hearing him through the pack bond.
‘Is that any way to talk to your noona, Lee Felix?’ she teases.
Felix grins, and his giddiness fills her head. ‘Sorry, Noona.’
Y/n rolls her eyes as she pinches his cheek. Jungkook comes up to her and she gets settled on his broad back. Once everyone’s ready, they make their way south.
‘Eunkwang-oppa?’ Y/n says gently.
‘Hm?’ He glances at her. ‘What is it, pup?’
‘In the mindscape.’ She brings up. ‘I saw six other figures… Do you know who they were?’
‘Ah.’ Eunkwang’s smile slides off his face and Felix and Changbin watch wearily. ‘They’re my packmates, the ones I’m fully bonded to.’
‘Oh…’
‘Yeah,’ he huffs. ‘They’re alive. I can feel them, but the distance is too great, so it’s limited… It’s the only thing keeping me alive actually.’
‘Oh, Hyung.’ Felix places a hand on his shoulder. ‘I’m sorry.’
Eunkwang forces a smile. ‘It’s alright, Felix. It can’t be helped.’ He squares his shoulders. ‘I’ll find them eventually, and we’ll all be reunited and safe, no matter what.’ He turns to her with hard, determined eyes. ‘And that includes you and the packmates you’re missing as well.’ He smiles down at Felix. ‘And your mates.’
Felix smiles brightly, cuddling into his arm. ‘Thanks, hyung.’
Eunkwang’s words reassures Y/n and Felix into a state of peace and belonging. It’s odd having a pack alpha, but it’s so comforting that she doesn’t even try to dwell on it any further.
The area they walk through is desolate and eerily silent without a sign of wreckage anywhere. Jungkook’s back grows more and more tense as they walk and she frowns down at him.
“Jungkook?” she whispers, tapping his collarbone to get his attention.
“Hm?” He briefly glances back at her.
“What’s wrong?” Y/n asks. “You feel tense.”
The others glance at them when they register her question.
Jungkook huffs. “I don’t know… I just feel something.”
“Me too,” Seungcheol grunts, red eyes peeled.
“We’re getting close,” Mingyu alerts them. “It should be just around the corner.”
Eunkwang shifts the weighted bags on his back. “Let’s hope this goes well.”
They approach the corner to turn on a different street and instantly notice the walls built from high-wired fences with tarps to hide the inside.
“Where in the world did they get those fences from?” Changbin mutters.
“There must’ve been a hardware store somewhere around here,” Jeonghan huffs.
“Remember the plan,” Seungcheol warns and the others nod in silent agreement.
After walking around for a bit, they find an entrance with a singular man standing with a rifle in his hands.
‘Where the hell did they get guns from?’ Changbin hisses.
‘Stolen from the police probably,’ Eunkwang grunts.
‘I don’t like this, Hyung,’ Felix whines.
‘I know. Just stay close,’ Eunkwang assures, gripping his hand.
“Halt!” The man flicks the gun up.
“Excuse us.” Seungcheol holds up his hands in a surrendering motion. “Sorry to scare you, but is this the safe haven posted online?”
He glares at him, eyes darting over the group. “It is.” He lowers the gun just an inch. “Are you hoping for entry?”
“Yes, please.” Seungcheol presses his hands together with a plea.
He huffs and stands up straight. “Are you one big pack or…?”
“No, sir.” Seungcheol gestures towards Jeonghan, Mingyu, and Minghao. “These three are a part of my pack. The others are their own pack, they started courting just before the breakout happened.”
The alpha glowers. “And the pack alphas are?”
Seungcheol and Eunkwang lift their hands.
“Interesting.” He frowns. “Where’s your pack marking?”
Seungcheol grits his teeth but tugs up his pant sleeve to show an intricate tattoo wrapped around his right ankle. Jeonghan, Mingyu, and Minghao do the same.
“Ah!” He sits up taller. “That looks familiar… I think I saw a couple of wolves here with that same tattoo.”
Jeonghan exhales shakily as Seungcheol curses under his breath, and Mingyu grabs Minghao’s trembling hand. “Can we please-”
“I would love to let you in, but friend, we don’t have the space for a group your size.” He grimaces.
“We don’t need any sort of housing,” Seungcheol assures. “We have tents to stay in and some salvaged food if that’s the issue.”
The alpha contemplates for a minute before he steps back and bangs on the door. “Open up! We’ve got company!”
The group collectively sighs in relief, and Y/n rests her head against Jungkook's, closing her eyes as her head pulses again. The gates open and Seungcheol and his members step in first. When Jungkook steps forward to follow them, two arms shoot out to grab him.
“Whoa! Hold on a minute!” The two betas that opened the door gesture toward Y/n. “The weapons. Hand them over.”
Y/n lifts her head. “What? Absolutely not!”
“You either hand them over and you can fuck off,” one of them hisses.
“They’re just for show!” Jungkook blurts. “They’re just for emergencies, she doesn’t even know how to use them. Please, just let her keep them. It makes her feel better to have them.”
Y/n’s chest burns with anger but the betas instantly calm down, their eyebrows raised.
“And what are the two of you?”
“My mate,” Jungkook tells him, tightening his grip on her thighs. “She’s- We’re courting.”
“And the pups?”
“They’re her siblings.” Jungkook smiles sharply. “Her parents were killed by rogues, so she’s taking care of them.”
Jaesung presses closer to them, hiding his face in Y/n’s hip. The action seems to sooth over the betas and they step back.
“Fine,” he huffs. “But if we find out someone’s been attacked, you’ll be the first person we’re accusing.”
“I promise, sir. We won’t be any trouble,” Jungkook bows his head.
“Come inside,” they step apart. “We’ll need to check your bags.”
They fully step inside and Eunkwang and Changbin drop their bags off their backs to let them check them. Felix gently rubs Y/n’s arm and she sends him a gentle smile. Once the bag check is done, they catch up with Seungcheol and his members.
“Everything alright?” Seungcheol frowns.
“Yeah, we’re good,” Jungkook huffs, scowling. “Fucking assholes. Can’t believe they bought that.”
‘Keep your eyes peeled at all times,’ Eunkwang grumbles. ‘I don’t like this one bit.’
‘Got it,’ Changbin replies.
“They said there’s some space further that way,” Mingyu speaks up. “We should set up and get comfortable.”
“Hyung, are you sure there’s enough space in that tent?” Minghao frowns.
“It’s definitely big enough to fit all of us and then some,” Jungkook responds. “Promise.”
He sniffs but nods. “Alright.”
Mingyu leads the way and they walk through the haven. It’s set up in a national park with part of the town inside the walls. There are tents everywhere and people milling around. It’s peaceful but loud, and it worries Y/n.
“Hyungs?”
The group pauses, turning toward the new voices. Tears fill Seungcheol and Jeonghan’s eyes as they lock onto two men. “Channie? Seokmin?”
“Hyung!”
Mingyu and Minghao dart forward and tackle the taller alpha in a hug. “Seokmin!”
The beta races, burrowing into Seungcheol and Jeonghan’s arms. “Hyungs!”
Seungcheol tucks the beta’s head into his chest as Jeonghan crowds his back. “Fuck, Channie. You’re alive.”
Y/n smiles, leaning further into Jungkook as the pack members reunite.
“How did you know to come here?” Chan asks. “I-I thought I felt you guys, but it was too dangerous for me to track you down on my own.”
“We didn’t,” Seungcheol grips his hand. “We were just trying to get to safety.”
Chan lets out a watery smile. “Hyung, why are you crying?”
Jeonghan scowls, furiously wiping his face. “I’m not fuckin’ crying. It’s just hormones.”
Chan’s face lights up with amusement, placing his hand on Jeonghan’s belly. “I take it the pup is still doing well?”
Jeonghan smiles. “It is, yeah.”
“Thank the gods,” the beta huffs, pulling him in for another hug.
Mingyu and Minghao come back with the other alpha and Seungcheol separates from his mate to pull him in for a tight hug.
Seokmin exhales shakily, tightening his grip on him. “Hi, hyung.”
Seungcheol kisses his temple. “Hey, pup.”
“Oh! Jungkook-hyung!” Chan perks up. “You’re here!”
“Hey, Chan-ah,” Jungkook smiles, readjusting Y/n’s weight on his back.
“Your packmates are here!” he says. “Seokjin-hyung and Taehyung-hyung. They’re in a tent next to ours.”
“They are!?” Jungkook takes a frantic step forward. “I-I- Where are they?”
“We can show you,” Seokmin responds, finally pulling away from Jeonghan’s tight grip. “Follow us.”
After a quick walk, they arrive at a slightly secluded area, and Jungkook whimpers, his grip tight on Y/n’s legs as his scent pumps out in waves of fear and disbelief.
“Oppa,” she pats his shoulder. “You can put me down. I’m okay.”
Jungkook gingerly sets her down on her feet and she balances herself on his shoulder until Changbin leans over to grab her waist.
“Seokjin-hyung! Taehyung-hyung! You’ve got-”
Before Chan can finish his sentence, the tent opening zips open and a beta and omega tumble out of it with entangled limbs before the omega sprints for Jungkook. Jungkook spins from the force as they collide but he keeps them stable, squeezing him tightly. They both break into tears, sinking to the ground, buried in each other, and Y/n’s heart aches for a reunion like that.
“Kookie.” The omega cups his face. “I thought you were-”
Jungkook shakes his head. “Right here. ‘M right here, Tae. I’m alive. It’s okay.”
The tall beta squats beside them, brushing a hand over Jungkook’s head and Jungkook’s wide eyes gleam when they make eye contact. “Hey, pup.”
“Jin-hyung,” he whines.
Jin pulls the pair close, rubbing his scent over them. “It’s okay. You’re safe.”
Changbin pulls Y/n into his chest and she blinks in surprise as he wipes her wet cheeks.
“Oh,” she mumbles, lifting a shaky hand to grip his shoulder. “I’m crying.”
“You are.” Changbin cups her face, his brown eyes soft.
“I don’t know why I’m crying,” Y/n whines.
“I do.” He gives her a sad smile. “You’re thinking about your pack… and your mate, Chan-hyung. You miss them.”
“What?” She mutters. “What-What are you talking about?”
“Through the pack bond,” Changbin taps his temple. “I saw a couple of memories of you with Minho-ssi and Jisungie and then just Channie-hyung, but you told me you didn’t know Chan-hyung.”
“B-Because I don’t?” Y/n tilts her head. “My mate- I-I mean he’s not my mate, but my-my boyfriend, his name is Chris or Christopher.”
Changbin blinks slowly before he scoffs. “Christopher is his birth name, yes, but his Korean name is Chan. It’s Christopher Bahng, right? With an h?”
Y/n nods, disbelief and realization dawning on her. “Y-Yeah, with an h.”
“That’s Bang Chan, my pack alpha,” Changbin shakes his head, his voice lilting with annoyance and shock. “Yah, this whole time? You’re the omega he’s been butt-fuck obsessed with? How the fuck did you guys not know this?”
“He-He’s not obsessed with me,” Y/n argues, her scent sweetening with embarrassment. “And-And we bonded over our Australian roots, so we just stuck to our English names. We never bothered to learn each other’s Korean names.”
“Aish, seriously.” Changbin palms his forehead. “All this miscommunication over a fucking name!”
They stare at each other before Y/n bursts into laughter. “It’s kinda silly.”
Changbin fixes her a bland look and she just giggles harder. The alpha shakes his head and pulls her in for a hug. “Guess we truly are pack members. Hyung has every intention of mating you, so you’ll be my Luna soon.”
Y/n sighs, melting into his embrace and ignoring his mating statement. “Well, I look forward to getting to know you, Bin-ah.”
“Yah, don’t talk so casually to me!” Changbin whines. “Where are your manners?”
“Shut it, knothead.” She swats at him. “We’re the same age! I can talk casually if I want!”
“Oh, yeah,” he mumbles.
Y/n huffs and they both flinch when they hear giggling. They notice Felix holding his laughter behind his hand.
“What’s so funny?” Y/n wrinkles her nose.
“Nothing, it’s just funny to see you two fight.” Felix grins.
“But-” Eunkwang cuts in with an amused face. “-you can do that later. We’re finished setting up. Come lay down, Y/n-ah. The pups are already taking a nap. You should join them.”
“Ugh.” Her shoulders drop. “A nap sounds heavenly.”
Changbin helps her into the fully-built tent and she smiles when she sees Jungkook entangled with his omega. Much to her surprise, Jaesung is passed out in the omega’s lap.
“Oh.” Y/n pauses. “Well, then.”
“Sorry.” He smiles sheepishly. “I offered him to sit with me and he just curled into me and passed out.”
“No, it’s okay.” She waves her hand. “I’m glad he was comfortable enough to approach you. I’m-I’m Y/n, by the way.”
“Taehyung,” he responds. “Thank you for comforting Kookie in my absence. It means a lot to me.”
Y/n flushes. “It’s the least I could do. I’m just glad you two have each other now.”
“Or the three of us apparently.” Taehyung smirks. “Kookie told me you guys’s cover story.”
Jungkook shoots him an unamused glare as Y/n giggles, settling further into the tent as Felix works on undoing her garters. “Yeah, that. Thanks for covering for me, Oppa.”
“Sorry that I had to insult you though,” Jungkook huffs.
She waves it off and finishes up with her weapons, tucking them into the corner Eunkwang sits in. He’s chosen the corner furthest from the door for her and the pups’ safety, much to her appreciation.
The tent truly is big enough for all of them. It must not have been in its biggest size when they were under the bridge. It’s cozy and keeps a bit of the cool air in.
“Okay,” Seungcheol sighs. “We should all talk and stuff, I believe.”
They go through introductions first, telling their names and stories. Eunkwang is the oldest but has offered to let Seungcheol lead things. He will support the group however they need and give wisdom when necessary. The plan is to buddy system while they’re here. Seungcheol specifically points out Y/n, Felix, Jeonghan, and the pups as the most important. Even though Seokjin, Taehyung, Seokmin, and Chan are new to the group, they’ve also agreed to protect the most vulnerable ones first.
After their meeting, Y/n cuddles up to Felix and Eunkwang and falls asleep to the scent of contentment and small chatter, her omega finally pulling from its anxious pacing under her skin and resting as well.
