Chapter Text
Regaining consciousness...
...
...
Alphagraft felt an icey chill around them as they seemed to float, in.. some fluid. Or, maybe 'float' was the wrong word to use, because in reality, they were sinking, sinking farther and farther into a trench in the center of the ocean. Fish swam around them violently, bloodied with sharp fins and defensive mechanisms. Even in the water, the Inpherno was as violent as it always was.
And then.. Alphagraft felt themselves hit the mud-hard flooring of the trench. Their eyes blinked open as they slowly stood up on the almost quicksand-like substance below them. It made it way harder to move, that was for sure, as while it didn't cover their entire body, they were knee deep in the sand.
It was then that Alphagraft realized the predicament. At the bottom of the ocean, with little fuel for blood besides fish that were already nibbling of their metal? An almost impossible to escape scenario.
...Well, maybe it's a blessing they ended their journey here. After all, they were a threat to society, right? But, why would they willingly die? Even if it was to make the world better, they wouldn't let themselves give up. They never could, not with the voice in the back of their head screaming at them for more blood.
But how?
Maybe... maybe if they just held on a little bit longer...
...
A tug on their arm spiked their awareness, and before long, it was around their whole body, all being lifted in a direction. Up, perhaps?
It seemed that the fish they saw earlier were also being cast upwards in some sort of... net?
Oh, that must be it! A fishing net, but this deep at sea? Where would you even get a net that long? Alphagraft could hold their questions for later. Though, they did realize that the violence previously surrounding them increased alot in the net, with fish being pressed tightly together in a sort of prison cell.
And with violence, comes blood. So, of course, as the fish attacked eachother, blood rained on Alphagraft, slowly starting to power them back up to their previous state, a state where they could roam without the threat of randomly shutting off due to no power.
And slowly but surely, they were cast back up to the surface, as the freezing cold started to turn into a more mild cold, (It was actually still extremely cold, but that was nothing compared to the bottom of the trench) and they pierced the barrier between air and water.
Instantly, Alphagraft felt the sounds of quiet creaking to their right. They tilted their head to the source of the sound-
A volley of Biografts stared them directly in the eye, as they froze with adrenaline. The dread-like feeling of them just.. standing there was overwhelming! Alphagraft could do nothing with the stares as the net stopped casting upwards, and instead unexpectedly started to move to the right, some fish falling out in the process.
Then they could feel the net split open above a hole of sorts, and all the fish, Alphagraft, and some pieces of kelp fell straight down into the dark, cold opening.
Alphagraft was instantly met with the feeling of sliminess around them, which they presumed to just be more fish. Alphagraft sat up, taking in the environment around them, which just seemed to be metal walls and more fish. A clash could be heard above them, and before they knew it, the opening was closed as two metal plates blocked anything from getting in or out.
Well, that was quick, but they needed to find a way out.
Alphagraft stood up before instantly falling back down due to the slipperiness of all the fish under them. They had to traverse more carefully in order to move across all of the fish, some bigger than others. And after a long period of time, they hit a wall, as metal smacked them in the face.
But it was progress, as they had something they could break to possibly get out of this place.
They took their katana, hovering it over the wall before-!
Some sparks flew out of the wall, and that was it. Of course that wasn't going to work, they thought, it was just like trying to stab a brick wall.
Okay, what about plants?
They put their pointer finger on the wall, watching as a little seed was planted into the hard surface, and a sprout was formed. It had placed roots into the wall, which was a start, as maybe if they pulled out the plant, it would take some of the wall with them?
And so Alphagraft did exactly that, both hands clenched onto the sprout as they desperately tried to rip it out, whirring as they tried and tried and..!
The plant flew out, turning black as it rotted instantly. That was alright though, as the wall was now damaged. Alphagraft was slightly disappointed, but perhaps now they could try to break it down...
Slam! Clash! Clank! POW!!!
The damage in the wall shattered, a hole remaining there, and light beamed from the opening. Alphagraft quickly took the chance to leap out of that moist area, and they now found themselves in a dim, but visible, room. It seemed to be the boiler room.
Alphagraft slowly walked around the room, and a plan slowly started to form in their mind...
A plan of how to take down the ship.
They quickly planted a sprout in each of the boilers, before quickly traversing upwards, running up flights up stairs. They were met with some Biografts along the way, but quickly decommissioned them. And they fought and ran until they were met with the last door. The last door until they exposed themselves to the massive crew of Biografts that took care of the ship. They kicked the door open, being met with 6 Biografts off the back, as they all whirred one line:
"TRAITOR."
