Suicide, suicide, suicide bid

Summary:

He hugged knight helmet's body, he's trying so so hard not to cry, but he can’t not cry. It’s his fault, isn't it? He shouldn't have left the house, he should’ve at least taken Knight Helmet with him, because he didn’t he lost his knight.

Work Text:

Knight Helmet and Glass Shard had been decorating their Christmas tree, well… mostly Glass Shard was because he was actually tall enough to reach the top of the tree. Unlike a certain someone. It's no lie that it’s a very nice time they’re having. But could it become a bad time?—

“Oh.. Shard, dear! Could you go out and get some more ornaments? We don’t have enough to cover the tree.” Knight Helmet spoke up, sitting in front of the now empty ornament box.
Glass Shard smiled, nodding his head “Of course!-”

Glass shard grabbed his keys, throwing on his jacket “-i'll be back before you can even notice i'm gone.”
And with that, he was out the door. Knight Helmet can’t lie, ze loves Glass Shard, so so so much. But what he doesn’t love is life. Glass Shards made it better, he really has, but it’s not enough to make Knight Helmet feel better. Sword could list off everything he loves about Glass Shard and everything Glass Shards done for him. It’d be a long, long list. Ze doesn't want Glass Shard to feel bad, not at all. He wants himself to feel bad. Because he knows he deserves to feel that way.

Knight Helmet made his way over to his room, he already had everything set up. He’s honestly surprised Glass Shard never noticed. Then again he never notices anything.

Does he really want to go through with this? Don't get zem wrong, swords had this planned out for so long, It’s the only thing Knight Helmets really looked forward to for so long. So why have second thoughts now?

He doesn’t want to leave Glass Shard. They’ve always been so happy with Knight Helmet. It’d really hurt Shard for Knight Helmet to be gone. Knight Helmet knows how much he’d cry. But it’s better for both of them. Swords just a big distraction to Glass Shard, ze always need to be around him, always need his attention, always need him. It’s the best choice to do it. So do it already.

Knight Helmet now fully walks into the room, closing the door behind zem. No going back now.
Knight helmet walks over to the chair in the center of the room, hesitating for a second, but getting on to it and standing up.

Glass Shard would be happier this way. He’d be happier, he’d have time to himself. He’d be left alone. Knight Helmets just doing what’s best for him.

He takes out a note, setting it down on the chair. Glass Shard would read it when he’s back.

Knight Helmet slowly wraps his hands around the rope. Ze can feel itself start to cry. He has to do this though. For his own good. For Glass Shards own good.

And ze do it. Knight Helmet takes the rope, putting it around his ‘neck’ and taking a step off the chair. There’s a struggle for at least a minute then he goes limp. Ze succeeded. But for what?

The main entrance door opens, and glass shards voice is heard by no one but himself,
“My knight! I'm home!”

Glass Shard walks into the house, closing the door behind him. Where’s Knight Helmet? It would normally already be hugging Glass Shard by now.

“Baby?” Glass Shard calls out.
He walks over to the tree, setting down his bag of ornaments he had just purchased. There’s… ornaments in the box that was empty before he left, though? Where’d those come from? Whatever, Knight Helmet probably found some more in the garage or something.

Glass Shard continued looking through the house for Knight Helmet, so far having no sign of zem.

Till he went over to the bedroom. He tried to open it but the door was locked. Why was it locked? It's never locked..

He put his key into the lock, then opened the door,

“Knight helme-...”

Glass Shard paused where he was. What happened to Knight Helmet? Why was it… oh.
Oh. oh no.

Glass Shard rushed over to Knight Helmet, taking the rope off of him, and holding him.

“Knight Helmet? Baby? Sweetie wake up..-”
Why wasn't he waking up? Ze didn’t die… right? It wouldn’t do that. He loves Glass Shard, why would he ever actually leave him?

“K.. Knight Helmet… wake up- c’mon-”
He can’t just give up like that, he can’t just let Knight Helmet die. That’s not right.
But he wasn’t waking up. Glass Shard lost zem didn't they..

He hugged knight helmet's body, he's trying so so hard not to cry, but he can’t not cry. It’s his fault, isn't it? He shouldn't have left the house, he should’ve at least taken Knight Helmet with him, because he didn’t he lost his knight.

Glass Shard noticed a note on the chair, a small, folded up piece of paper. Put there by Knight Helmet.

Glass Shard grabbed the paper.
