Rose carefully balanced the tea tray in one hand, her other holding a phone which she has raised to her ear as she talked to someone. She moved through hers and the Doctors' office. Setting the tray down she looked at her husband.
He was sat on the couch, pieces of wrapping paper stuck to him from when he'd been wrapping presents. She let out a snort at the sight, it was... unusual for this regeneration. His last one had much more been one for festivities.
Perhaps it was because of Bill. No, it most certainly was because of Bill who the two had adopted as their granddaughter. Rolling her eyes she moved and gently set a blanket over him, giving his forehead a kiss.
With that, she moved away to see how the wrapping had come. Her eyes lighting up when she saw the tree completely set up with presents underneath.
SOME TIME LATER
Bill hesitated before the Doctor and Rose's office door, her fist poised to knock. What if they hadn't meant it when they said she could do Christmas with them?
Swallowing she shook her head, they wouldn't do that. Breathing, she knocked on the door. It was opened by a smiling Rose which settled Bill's nerves.
She was pulled in, towards one of the various offshoots of the office. One with a tree propped up and presents underneath. She sat down across from the Doctor as Rose handed her a cup of tea. Absent mindedly she sipped it (did she taste cinnamon?).
The Doctor grunted but had a fond look on his face as he grabbed a present and gave it to her. Carefully accepting it she began to take of the wrapping paper so she didn't waste it. Inside the present was a sketchbook for her to use.
Looking up at them, she smiled and thanked them.
