Francis and Louis, at the beginning and ending of the book. The Heyer fics were strong this year, and this was no exception to the rule.

The Reluctant Widow will never be on my list of favourite Heyers, for a bunch of reasons, but the stand-out feature of it is Francis Cheviot - and this (partly) post-canon story focused on Francis does not disappoint. Full of nicely Heyer-ish language plus some VERY Francis machinations, this is overall an excellent portrayal of Francis.
