Chapter Text
Frisk was currently panicking.
"What is the meaning of this?" The head scientist of Gentek asked, his voice being one of outrage. He had barged into the office of Gentek's CEO just moments before, holding the stack of papers which was currently slammed down on said CEO's table.
"Hm? What is... this?" The other man in the room, her master, asked.
"Don't play dumb in front of me, McMullen. I created this thing! It was meant to cure cancer! What the fuck have you done!?" The doctor turned to her, who was standing in the corner, unresponsive as always, unless commanded by her master. Though, the guy literally coming and digging his grave in front of her was making it hard for her to hold her mask. "You... you made that thing into your fucking pet assassin!"
Why was he here!? How did he find out!? He was supposed to be away from this- safe from being murdered for knowing the truth!
"Hm? I was under the impression that you were the head scientist, no? Why would I have done anything to your creation? Going by this logic, wouldn't it be you respo-"
"Don't play games with me, McMullen! We started Gentek for the better of humanity, and you used it for your selfish means! The... the Virus was killing the test subjects and you went and used it on- on a human- A child no less, just so you could make a supersoldier who you abused to the point of being an emotionless shell that only lived to serve your commands! And then you did it again and succeeded in creating a second one!"
She would like to object to that comment about her being emotionless, but she won't. This just confirmed that her act was selling. That was good. Nobody except her sister needed to know her plans.
"Oh my, I see that you have given the experiment files a thorough reading. Then you should also know that said child and the other failure are mine, and as such, I do not care about your unneeded opinion on how I raised it."
Ah.
Big mistake.
He called her sister a failure again. Another tally there. His eventual death just became 10 times worse than it originally was supposed to be with that tally.
But that was not the point, because currently the one guy who legit cared for her well being was going to fucking die.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" The doctor whispered. 'Please shut up and at least act that you're fine with this.' Frisk mentally said, and obviously the doctor didn't hear that.
"I simply saw an opportunity, and I took it. For science."
This seemed to shock the man out of his reverie. "For science!? You call this science!? You- you injected my creation into a child and then used her for your own needs and you call it science!? You even fucking raped her you piece of shi-"
Her master suddenly stood up. "Enough."
Shit.
This was getting worse by the minute. Master was angry.
"I had planned to do this a few days later, along with the rest of the team... after all, you have outlived your purpose. Along with the other scientists who actually knew what they were doing."
'No no no no no-' She could've just accidentally left him alive in a group but right now he was alone- her plan was falling apart fuck-
"Frisk."
No. Please.
"Kill him."
She couldn't cry. And she can't break her act. Her sister was on the line- she- she can't fail her-
"What are you waiting for?"
But... she was also trying to save the scientist. She can't kill the very person she was trying to save-
"Interesting."
And just like that, she knew-
Her act was done for.
Because Master now had her chin gripped in her hands, and a sick smile on his face.
"And to think that I had the slightest hint of hope that you weren't a failure."
Right then, she felt the sensation of something being stabbed into her back, and a wave of pain washed over her before everything went black.
Frisk hated this goddamn parasite that refused to let go of her.
Like, fucking hell, it hurt so much and on top of that it prevented her from shapeshifting.
Which was not ideal, considering Gentek sent the fucking super soldiers after her to expire her free trial of living.
"It's getting slower! We have to catch it now before she escapes!"
Oh, right, she was currently running from said super soldiers like a bat out of hell. Good thing they reminded her that they were here, she was close to stopping and checking behind her. God, if only she could shapeshift and cut them apart, it would've been so much easier. Stupid parasite.
Frisk took a hard right and headed deeper into the forest she was currently parkouring through. Honestly, she was not thinking when she destroyed the 'Warning' barrier outside the forest (Ebott forest or something? Eh, the name didn't really matter.) but that decision surprising turned out to be beneficial.
"We lost sight of it again! Where the fuck did it go!?"
"Right! It went to the right!"
"We should've nabbed it in the city itself! This forest is a pain!"
Frisk was glad that they were suffering, as that meant she had the tiniest chance of escape. Honestly, she didn't care much for her life, it's just that she didn't want Gentek to get back the DX-118C Blacklight sample from her to create another one of her.
After all, she was the last one left carrying that strand and the only one with the knowledge of how it was synthesized after the head scientist was shot down in front of
"WHERE THE FUCK DID IT GO NOW!???"
"That way! Fucking follow me and stop screaming every 5 seconds!"
Fuck, that sounded closer than before. She had to run faste-
A sharp pain shot through her body.
She yelped.
She stumbled.
And she immediately realized that she was fucked.
That realization was compounded by the sudden fist clamped around her arm. Right before she could snatch it out and dodge, another pang of pain made her flinch.
A crucial mistake, which resulted in both of her arms being grabbed.
She decided that it was time for... talking. She didn't nearly have enough biomass to tank these guys' hits. Hopefully this worked. "We can talk this out-"
Her sentence was interrupted quite abruptly as two fists skewered through her chest and abdomen and her hands were pulled apart from her torso.
Well, shit. Talking wasn't an option, apparently. Plus, she lost some precious biomass. And she was in the middle of a forest with nothing to consume.
'This situation somehow keeps getting worse and worse.'
"What were we supposed to do with it again?" One of the super soldiers asked the other as Frisk collapsed to the ground, her body regenerating sluggishly because of the stupid parasite.
"We need to get a sample and then rip it apart till it stops regenerating. Usually, the thing would regenerate no matter what the fuck we do, but the parasite is actively destroying the virus cells so we just have to exhaust the healing factor enough for it to die." The other guy answered as her left arm finally regenerated. Taking it as the blessing it was, she tried standing up, only for a foot to stomp down between her shoulder blades and push her to the ground.
"Well, the arm counts as a sample, right? Let's just get this over with."
Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck this was so bad please she just needed to escape and this goddamn parasite was not even letting her transfigure herself even the slightest bit-
Her face was then lifted above the ground by a boot. It was the second soldier.
And then her face was kicked hard enough that her body flew through the treeline and landed with her back on a rock.
"Ouch." She groaned out. Then she slowly stood up from her laying position.
Now, she was not in any shape to fight fucking Blacklight enhanced soldiers, especially with the negligible amount of biomass in her. She had to run, but then again, the soldiers had the sample she didn't want them to have. So, what now?
Well, the answer was simple.
Disregard everything and proceed with the most batshit insane path forward. Which turned out to be this:
"Hey, sucker!" She yelled out. The soldier moving towards her stopped.
"How high can you jump!?" She asked, further confusing the guy. And then using the charged biomass she had accumulated in the precious few seconds, she jumped.
Jumped being an understatement. It was more like she yeeted herself 8 meters into the air and aimed directly at the soldier holding her arms. In a move unexpected and undetected by the soldier, she snatched the arms from mid-air and kicked the guy in the face.
"See ya later!" With that, she ran as fast as she could towards... somewhere. She didn't know jackshit about this place and certainly didn't know where the fuck she was going.
Two seconds later, an enraged scream echoed in the distance. "FUCK! WHERE DID SHE GO NOW!?"
'Okay, it's only a two second headstart but that's... probably enough. Not sure though.'
Her former arms were currently making her unbalanced, which meant they had to go. But, she couldn't just throw them away, she was trying to make sure that nobody gets their hands on any samples of the virus.
'This probably counts as cannibalism, but at this point I've done worse.'
Man, consuming her own biomass felt weird, and didn't even provide her with any benefits. Whatever.
"This way!"
Oh, shit, they were catching up to her. She looked behind her, but kept running.
They were barely 30 meters behind her. At this rate they would catch up to her.
Suddenly, her surroundings went dark. As if sunlight suddenly decided to not shine upon her anymore. A second later, she determined that she entered a cave while looking behind her, like an absolute idiot.
And then, like the eternal cosmic joke that was her life, she tripped. She tripped, and she didn't feel the floor slam into her face.
Instead, she was faced by a bottomless pit. A bottomless pit that she was falling into.
'Man, I didn't expect to die like this, but it's stupid enough that I should've seen it coming.'
Now, at this point, she expected to just fall down normally without any bullshit, but apparently, it was not over yet and she smacked down on a floor made out of... thin air?
Frisk blinked.
And then she started convulsing as a wave of pain overwhelmed her. Her body felt like it was burning- and then the floor of thin air stopped existing.
She felt herself start falling again. Before she blacked out, her last thought was a soft, but powerful, "What the fuck."
"Where did it go...?" The soldier muttered to his partner. Said partner just kept looking around in the cave as if the virus would appear out of thin air.
"I... don't know?" Said useless partner replied.
The soldier sighed. "It can't just fucking come inside the cave and disappear! I thought it fell into the pit but this place-" He stomped his foot on the smooth stone of the 'pit' he had jumped into. It was barely 5 meters deep. "It's just solid rock!"
His partner shrugged. "Guess we'll just have to admit we lost it."
The soldier massaged his temple, feeling pure annoyance. "Yeah. Let's just report back. Nothing's gonna come out of just waiting around." With that, he sighed and started to climb out of the pit he had flung himself into. He could've sworn that he saw the virus falling in there but... whatever.
"Let's just hope that the higher ups don't throw a fit over this." His partner said, and he found himself agreeing. After all, nobody wanted some stuck up bitch yelling at them after a failure of this magnitude already weighing them down.
