Work Text:

Park Jimin had dated his fair share of alphas and had been burned too often to even keep track of. It was always either a gorgeous alpha wanting nothing more than a hookup or a dominating and controlling alpha who wanted a submissive mate to stay home and be nothing but a baby maker. Jimin had dreams. Hell, he had his own business, a small little café on an up and coming marketplace street crowded with trendy shops and businesses. It was doing well and he’d be damned if he gave all that up to sit at home and raise pups.

He didn’t hate pups. In fact, he adored pups. He’d dreamt as a child even before presenting of having lots of pups and hearing them laugh and cuddling them. Spoiling them would be Jimin’s favorite thing and he couldn’t wait to have more. Because he already had one sweet little pup, a daughter named Minji. She had Jimin’s nose and his facial structure, but her eyes were her alpha father’s. Jimin hadn’t known him well. They’d been on a couple dates years ago and…well, the omega had been a bit more reckless back then.

Her alpha father wasn’t involved, had learned Jimin was pregnant and had fled the next breath. It wasn’t surprising. They’d both been young and foolish.

Jimin’s daughter was the one thing he’d never shared with any of the alphas he had dated and for good reason. Wolves were possessive and territorial. He knew most alphas wouldn’t automatically accept a pup that wasn’t theirs and Jimin came as a package deal. He knew only the perfect alpha could ever be his and his hopes of ever finding him seemed to be simmering away to nothing as the time passed. He’d been let down so many times that he almost considered just giving up.

That’s when he had met Jungkook. He was a couple years younger than Jimin, a senior college student at the nearby university who was studying graphic design. He’d frequented Jimin’s café and had often used it for studying or just dropping in for a warm beverage on a chilly day. At first, it’d been a simple professional relationship that only consisted of Jimin taking Jungkook’s order and serving him his coffee with a smile. However, the omega noticed Jungkook’s lingering looks and how his cheeks would get a little more pink than usual as he thanked Jimin for his drink. His dark doe eyes were so emotional and unfiltered, he felt like he could see what the alpha was feeling by just looking into his eyes. It was obvious he was attracted to Jimin. The omega had always heard he was beautiful and had never lacked compliments from the many alphas he’d dated. He couldn’t deny that the younger alpha was also incredibly gorgeous and he could tell even through the layers keeping him warm during the winter season that he had to be ripped.

For several weeks, the sweet but shy alpha would come to his shop and get his coffee, smiling warmly at Jimin who returned his polite kindness completely. Their wolves would automatically sweeten their scent, pulling them both together. It was only a matter of time before one of them made their move.

After a month of shy glances and brief touches of hands when the coffee was given to the alpha, Jimin realized that Jungkook might be too shy to make that first move. So, he made it for him.

The alpha had smiled as he took his coffee from Jimin’s hand, like he’d done so many times before.

“Thank you, Jimin,” he’d said politely, knowing the omega’s name by now due to how frequent he visited.

Jimin smiled. “Of course. I hope you have a good day.”

Jungkook smiled. “You too. See you later.”

The alpha turned to leave and Jimin’s heart threatened to beat right out of his chest. He had to end this now, even if it ended badly.

”Wait!” Jimin called, glancing around warily at the other customers enjoying their treats.

Jungkook had turned back toward Jimin immediately and stepped closer to the counter again. “Yeah? What’s up?”

Jimin took a deep breath, looking into those gorgeous eyes and steeling his mental resolve. He grabbed a nearby clean napkin and a pen and quickly jotted down his number. Then, he was sure with wildly blushing cheeks, he held the napkin out for Jungkook to take. The alpha slowly reached for it and looked down at the written numbers. Jimin fidgeted with the pen that was still in his hand as he waited for Jungkook’s reaction. The alpha had looked at Jimin, a question in his eyes.

”It’s my number…if you ever wanna…I don’t know, hang out outside of the café,” Jimin stuttered out, feeling incredibly shy. It wasn’t often that he was the one to ask alphas out. Usually he was beating them off with sticks, to be honest.

The doe-eyed alpha seemed to freeze for a moment, his eyes widening comically as he glanced between the napkin and Jimin’s face again before he simply tucked the napkin into his jacket pocket and smiled at Jimin.

“Thanks,” he said, a cute subtle blush adorning his cheeks and his scent sweetening a little. “I’ll definitely do that.”

Jimin smiled brightly, his heart still beating rapidly but he felt very happy the alpha didn’t reject his number. “Okay…Okay, well um…have a good day, then.”

“Yeah, uh…you too,” Jungkook said, returning Jimin’s smile and then turning to walk to the door again.

Jimin watched him go the entire time and when the alpha reached the door he turned around, using his back to open it as he sent a little wave in Jimin’s direction, which the omega shyly returned, and then he was gone.

It hadn’t been but maybe two days before the alpha texted him and a week later they were on their first official date. Jungkook had been so sweet and respectful asking Jimin out that the omega couldn’t help but feel butterflies in his stomach on his way to the restaurant where they planned to have their first date.

The restaurant itself was pretty casual and it made Jimin feel better about it just because it felt like there wasn’t a lot of pressure to dress up or be fancy or anything. He wore his favorite jeans that hugged his legs perfectly and a yellow sweater. He had put simple hoops in his ears for the occasion and was wearing a necklace with a small silver heart on it. It’d been a gift from his mother and inside was a picture of Minji.

The alpha had gotten there before Jimin and had dressed up slightly compared to the usual class attire he’d typically see Jungkook in. He’d swapped his t-shirts and hoodies for a collared dark blue button-up shirt that hugged his shoulders deliciously and Jimin couldn’t stare at them for too long or he’d be in trouble.

The alpha was already sitting at the table when Jimin arrived but he rose to help the omega into his seat and then resumed his own.

“I’m so glad you wanted to meet up outside of the café,” Jimin had said later that evening, after their meals had settled in their stomachs and the wine had eased their nerves.

The alpha smiled and nodded. “I wanted to ask for your number before that, but I…well, I was nervous that you didn’t like me like that.”

Jimin giggled, his cheeks hurting from smiling so much throughout the night. “I’d been waiting for you to ask me out for weeks.”

Jungkook gasped, like he couldn’t believe it, sparkles in his eyes. “Really?”

Jimin nodded and laughed again.

Jungkook sighed and shook his head at himself. “Well, I’m sorry I’m so slow.”

Jimin shook his head. “It’s okay. We’re here now.”

Jungkook scoffed. “Yeah, thanks to you.”

Jimin giggled again and brought his wine glass to his lips again. “Yes. Thank you, me.”

Jungkook joined him in laughing and the night continued to be just as easy and carefree as that. Their first date was a huge success and it led to several others.

He learned that Jungkook was an only child whose parents doted on him excessively, which the omega found adorable. The way his tone would switch when he talked about his parents in such an obviously fond and loving way told Jimin a lot about their relationship, too. Jimin found it very sweet and he himself was close to his own parents, as well. His mother and father lived relatively close to Jimin’s own apartment and they often visited or watched Minji while he ran errands or worked or…well, went on a date with his new alpha.

It wasn’t long before Jimin was calling him that in his head. His alpha…

It scared him to death on the one hand because he’d had such bad luck with alphas in the past but he also knew one very important thing. Jungkook wasn’t like any alpha he’d ever met. Every single date they went on, Jimin wasn’t allowed to open any doors for himself and every seat at every restaurant was pulled out for him to sit. He’d never been treated with so much respect and even after three dates Jungkook had never even kissed him, let alone propositioned the omega for sex. Jimin found it weird, because half the alphas he’d dated had grossly asked to take the omega home on the very first date. It made him uncomfortable. He wasn’t the type of omega to hook up after the first date, especially if he was getting a bad vibe from the alpha which he often did.

But, it wasn’t that way with Jungkook at all. Every cute smile that in Jimin’s head resembled a bunny, every laugh that completely reached Jungkook’s eyes, every honest and personal answer to any question Jimin asked. Over time, it eased Jimin’s uncertainties and worries to the point he found himself completely comfortable with Jungkook. They talked and laughed like they were old friends, like they’d known each other for forever.

They had five dates and had known each other for three months when it finally hit him. He was falling for this alpha. Jungkook came to visit him often when he was at work, just like he’d done before. When Jimin wasn’t working, they were constantly in contact via text or even late night calls after Minji was asleep, of course. Jungkook even sent him flowers randomly out of nowhere just because he was thinking about him. Roses had always been Jimin’s favorite and somehow the alpha had nailed it when he’d sent him the biggest bouquet of red roses Jimin had ever seen.

These new feelings caused the omega to feel nervous and anxious, knowing that his heart was slowly but steadily becoming very involved. He wanted to trust Jungkook, he wanted to so badly but he kept second-guessing everything, knowing how he’d been treated in the past, knowing he had a daughter, a sweet precious pup to think about. She comes first above everything.

So, after biting his nails nearly to the quick and spending several restless nights with very little sleep, he decided he had to do something. He needed to bite the bullet and tell the alpha he had a daughter because if they were going to continue and more importantly if Jimin was going to give pieces of his heart to this alpha or eventually his entire heart, he’d have to tell the alpha about his pup. It would make or break them. Jimin just hoped with everything he had that what he’d seen and observed of Jungkook held true, that he was different than the shallow alphas he’d dated before.

So, Jimin decided on their next date that he would finally tell Jungkook about his daughter. If he left, he left. Minji came first.

Their next date was planned for a warm evening in spring. They’d take a walk by the Han River and then go see a movie at the local cinema. Jimin decided to bring it up while they were walking along the river so that if things didn’t go well they could part ways before the movie.

Jungkook normally picked him up for their dates but Jimin asked to just meet him at the river this time…just in case. His heart was hesitantly hopeful but heavy, knowing that this could all go horribly wrong. He had left Minji with his parents and she’s given him the biggest hug when he’d left. It’d been the motivation boost he’d needed.

He’d easily found Jungkook’s car and parked next to him an an empty spot. The alpha was looking down at his phone but when he noticed someone parking next to him and then looked over and saw Jimin’s face, he’d smiled brightly and began getting out of the car. Jimin couldn’t help but to smile and wave back.

The alpha met Jimin at his door.

“Hey, Min. So good to see you,” Jungkook greeted him warmly and leaned in for a hug. They may not have kissed but the last couple dates they’d hugged when they met and when they parted. The alpha’s warm cinnamon and pine scent enveloped Jimin once again, comforting his wolf and helping to steel his nerve.

”Hey, Kook. Good to see you, too. Ready to go?” Jimin asked as they parted, feeling his stomach flip as he saw the alpha’s smile when they separated.

Jungkook nodded and then offered his arm dramatically with flare, making the omega giggle and playfully swat at him before he hooked his arm through the alpha’s happily. Jungkook had a way of making Jimin feel comfortable and happy without even trying.

They made their way, still linked together, down to the river and walked slowly along the walkway. There weren’t a ton of people out but people passed by occasionally either biking or walking their dogs, a couple teenagers on skateboards.

Conversation flowed easily as it always did between them. Jimin had never smiled so much in the company of an alpha and over the course of about a half hour his nerves had calmed enough that he knew he had to stop beating around the bush and simply have a raw and personal conversation with the alpha.

“Hey, Jungkook…I need to talk to you about something,” Jimin began, hearing the tremble in his own voice and internally wincing. He wanted to be strong but Jungkook…he was important. This had to work out. He swore in that moment that if things didn’t work out he was absolutely through with dating.

Jungkook could no doubt hear the seriousness in  the omega’s voice as he slowed down and looked at Jimin with concern written all over his face.

“Sure,” the alpha said softly and then looked around before leading Jimin over to a bench on the edge of the walkway.

He sat down next to Jungkook and found that it was difficult to even look at Jungkook. The alpha had been so incredibly kind and sweet the entire relationship. He didn’t want to lose him and he didn’t want to see disappointment in the alpha’s eyes. So intead he looked out over the river, taking a deep breath before looking back at the alpha. Jungkook was waiting patiently for him to speak, his entire body turned toward the omega.

“First, I just want you to know that I’ve really enjoyed getting to know you and I’ve found over the months we’ve known each other that you are a very good alpha,” Jimin said, meaning every single word.

Jungkook’s lips turned up a little but his eyes remained concerned. “Thank you, Jimin. I’ve very much enjoyed getting to know you. You’re a wonderful person. Can’t believe you gave me a chance.”

Jimin couldn’t help but laugh as the alpha said that. “You were cute and you liked the coffee I made. Besides, the obnoxious amount of times you came to the shop told me you might be a little interested.”

Jungkook shrugged. “I thought I hid it better but I guess I didn’t. No regrets, though.”

Jimin smiled but gradually the tension bled back into his body and no doubt his expression as he attempted to return his mind to the conversation they needed to have.

“What’s wrong, Jimin?” Jungkook asked softly, his own hand coming to gently rest on Jimin’s and stroking his hand with his thumb.

Jimin sighed. “It’s not that anything is wrong. You’re…honestly perfect, Jungkook. I enjoy every moment we share together and you have been the kindest alpha I’ve ever met and especially ever dated. I…I…”

Jungkook squeezed Jimin’s hand. “It’s okay, Jimin. Whatever it is, it’s okay.”

Jimin felt tears gather in his eyes as he looked deeply into Jungkook’s expressive dark eyes.

It will be okay. It will be okay. He likes you…

”I like you, Jungkook,” Jimin said, feeling like his entire world was shrinking down to this exact moment.

Jungkook’s eyes widened and he smiled. “I like you too, Jimin.” His concern quickly returned, however. “So, what’s the problem, Jimin?”

Jimin took another steadying breath as he felt the tears in his eyes threatening to fall. It was now or never. He prayed he could trust this alpha. Nothing mattered more than his daughter and if Jungkook couldn’t accept her then this was over for good.

”I have a pup,” Jimin said and then he stared at Jungkook’s face, watching his reaction closely.

There was surprise, which was to be expected. Jimin waited for the disgust or anger, denial or any other negative emotion but they never came. Instead Jungkook seemed to be waiting for Jimin to continue speaking.

Jimin’s breath was sucked from his lungs with his admission but he managed to speak again. “Did you hear me?”

Jungkook nodded. “Yes, you said you have a pup.”

Jimin nodded slowly, not fully understanding. “She’s four…”

Jungkook smiled softly. “Is that why you were so worried?”

Jimin nodded, head still in a complete daze.

“Did you expect me to get mad or something?” Jungkook asked.

Jimin sighed. “Every alpha I’ve ever told, including her father, ran the other way. I’m afraid because…because I like you, Jungkook.”

The alpha smiled. “Well, no need to be afraid. I don’t mind you have a pup, if that’s what you were worried about. I’m glad you told me so that it’s not worrying you any longer, but there’s no reason to be afraid. I might be young and I might be immature at times, but I never date omegas unless I have the intention of it someday becoming more serious. I really like you, Jimin. You having a pup doesn’t change that in the slightest. Please don’t be afraid.”

Jimin was shocked. Jungkook wasn’t upset, hadn’t reacted in the way Jimin had thought he would at all. He wasn’t sure what to make of it.

”You don’t mind that I have a pup, another alpha’s pup?” Jimin continued to ask, sure he was hallucinating.

Jungkook smiles. “Of course not, Jimin. I’ll bet she’s like a little mini you and that she’s adorable. She’s so lucky to have such a great mother.”

Jimin felt his control slip, felt the tears finally roll gently down his cheeks. Jungkook instantly looked concerned and moved even closer to him.

“Hey, it’s okay, hey-“

Jimin surged forward, kissing the alpha on the lips for the first time. He could tell by the way Jungkook froze that he was shocked but he quickly recovered and began to kiss Jimin back. Their scents surged together and blended beautifully as they both sweetened and enjoyed their first intimate kiss.

When they finally parted, they remained close to each other, breathing the same air. Jungkook’s hands came up to cradle Jimin’s face as they looked at each other. The alpha wiped his tears away gently.

”Don’t be afraid to share your life with me, Jimin. I don’t wanna sound like I’m being overdramatic or overconfident, but I think you’re it for me,” Jungkook whispered the last part like it was a secret. Jimin found it endearing.

He simple kissed the alpha again, feeling every part of his body light up with joy and feeling his heart gradually slip away from his chest, the omega entrusting it to the alpha’s hands.

Jimin giggled when the alpha kissed the tip of his nose and suddenly the moment was so perfect. Everything had worked out so much better than he’d hoped for.

“I think you’re it for me, too,” Jimin whispered, enjoying the lack of fear as he admitted that to the alpha. Jungkook, the sweet alpha who had checked all his boxes including the monumental one he’d just checked which completed his list of qualities in a perfect alpha.

His perfect alpha…

Here’s never met an alpha he’d describe as being perfect but he knew without a doubt that he’d gotten lucky. He’d finally found him.

Two years later…

Jimin came awake slowly, feeling his bladder nearly ready to bust as was typical in his heavily pregnant state. He opened his eyes already dreading trying to roll out of bed and waddle to the bathroom. His second pregnancy certainly was taking a toll on him but he loved his growing pup dearly. He slowly and carefully rolled out of bed until his swollen feet could touch the ground and then he carefully made his way to the bathroom to relieve himself. He was currently eight and a half months pregnant and his pup was measuring large, making Jimin miserable though he was so excited to meet his little pup. The doctor had said it was a boy this time and he was ecstatic to meet his new pup.

He walked back into the bedroom and his steps slowed as he neared the bed again. He admired his alpha sleeping soundly, softly snoring on his back, his chest bare and the omega couldn’t help but to salivate over his mate’s muscles.

Even several years ago when he’d first met the alpha, he’d known that beneath those clothes that Jungkook was muscular. He’d been proven right. He worked out every day and kept his body in shape and Jimin hadn’t known how much of a muscle and strength kink he had until he’d first seen Jungkook without a shirt.

Their relationship had only bloomed and grown since that day so long ago and it was only a few weeks after that important day that Jimin introduced Jungkook to his daughter. It was amazing to watch his daughter who didn’t have a shy bone in her body open up to the alpha immediately and the alpha was smitten with her instantly. It wasn’t long before Jimin couldn’t even go a day without Minji asking when “Kookie” was coming back to visit. The rest was history. He loved the alpha with his entire heart.

His inner wolf perked up and he couldn’t help but to crawl onto his alpha, straddling him carefully, mindful of his large belly. As expected, the alpha stirred. His gorgeous brown eyes opened and when he saw Jimin above him he smiled, his hands automatically coming up to caress Jimin’s stomach.

“Morning, Minnie,” the alpha huskily greeted him.

Jimin giggled. “Good morning, Alpha.”

Jungkook let his hands fall to rest on his thighs, massaging them gently. “How is our boy this morning?”

Jimin smiled. “He’s fine.”

The alpha smiled and leaned up, indicating he wanted a kiss. Jimin met him halfway and sighed into a sweet and sensual kiss. He was incredibly horny at this stage of his pregnancy and he could already feel his cock stirring. He ground his hips against Jungkook’s, already feeling the alpha’s stiff erection between his legs.

”Mmm, baby…,” Jungkook’s husky morning voice had Jimin feeling tingles all over his body.

Jimin whimpered and his wolf moved him to crawl to his side of the bed on his hands and knees. Then he fell to his elbows, keeping his ass high, presenting his dripping hole to his alpha. He slept naked when he was pregnant as his body temperature stayed incredibly hot. They locked their door, of course.

The alpha growled and followed after him immediately, his large hands kneading Jimin’s supple cheeks.

”Pretty omega…prettiest in the whole world. Gonna give you what you need, baby. What do you want, love?” Jungkook asked, fitting his massive and now bare cock against Jimin’s entrance.

“J-Jungkook, please…fuck me, please please please,” Jimin begged, feeling his omega coming to the surface as he submitted to his alpha.

“You don’t have to beg, Omega. Alpha will always give you what you need,” Jungkook husked as he guided his cock to Jimin’s entrance.

Jimin moaned as Jungkook entered him with one swift thrust, knowing that the omega in his terminal stages of pregnancy was in a constant state of being horny and they fucked once a day at least, sometimes more and he also knew that Jimin didn’t want any foreplay the past few weeks.

Jungkook quickly set a fast pace, pulling little whimpers and moans from Jimin’s plush lips as he pushed his hips back, meeting the alpha thrust for thrust. It was no surprise when Jimin’s first orgasm slammed into him just a couple minutes in, but the alpha didn’t slow down. He continued to pound into his mate, enjoying the way the omega’s walls shuddered each time he sucked him back in.

“Fuck, baby…always so tight, even when you’re pupped. My perfect omega,” Jungkook growled, knowing how much Jimin loved to hear him praising him. It was easy to do as he was head over heels in love with the pregnant omega below him. Everything Jimin did was sexy to him. He’d been smitten since day one.

When he had pulled two more orgasms from Jimin’s trembling body, Jungkook finally knotted him. The release was explosive and he groaned as he continued to grind his hips against Jimin’s backside, his knot locking in tightly and being massaged deliciously by his mate’s soft warm walls.

Jimin was already drowsy again, his little spurt of energy quickly leaving which wasn’t a surprise. The omega spent about eighty percent of his time sleeping, the baby zapping his energy completely.

”Sleep, baby. When my knot goes down, I’ll go check on Minji and start breakfast,” Jungkook whispered in Jimin’s ear after he positioned them both on their sides.

The omega was purring happily as he cuddled into the pillows and sheets and turned his head to claim his alpha’s lips.

“Love you, Alpha,” Jimin murmured.

”I love you, baby,” Jungkook whispered against Jimin’s lips as he smiled and wrapped an arm around Jimin’s large belly.

Jimin fell asleep again without a care in the world. He often wondered what would’ve happened to him if he’d never met Jungkook, if he’d never known the sweet and sexy alpha that he called his own. He’d given his heart completely and he’d never once regretted it. His daughter adored the alpha and so did he and so would their precious pup. Jungkook was already the perfect alpha, but when he awoke a little later and could hear the tinkling laughter of his daughter from the kitchen alongside Jungkook’s playful voice no doubt doing something silly to make Minji laugh, he knew that his alpha was absolutely perfect. He’d chosen well and he had never once regretted that decision. He was thankful every day that he knew Jeon Jungkook.
