Chapter Text
Ellie Riley-MacTavish had been born completely healthy, despite her slightly unusual welcome into the world. The tiny newborn was a little over six pounds, and had all ten of her fingers and toes. Already, she looked exactly like her father. A light dusting of blonde curls sat atop her little head, but her eyes were all her mama's.
The tiny pup was sleeping soundly in Johnny's arms, her little head resting above Johnny's beating heart. Her little snuffles were heard as she breathed softly and evenly. Johnny smiled as he kissed Ellie's little forehead, nuzzling his tiny baby gently. "My wee lass..." The omega said softly, batting Ellie's back gently. Only hours old, and his little girl was already so loved and spoiled, despite being a complete surprise.
Price had gone off base to the nearest store as soon as he could, and had come back with as many baby essentials as he could fit into the back of his car. So, there was now a slightly messy pile of supplies in the corner of Simon and Johnny's bedroom.
Ellie made a little sound in her sleep, nuzzling closer to Johnny which had the omega purring happily. Johnny chuckled softly, continuing to rub Ellie's back gently. "Yer daddy is scarin' the wits outta some poor medic I bet, lovie..."
-----
Simon stood outside the door to his and Johnny's bedroom. Back in his balaclava and skull face plate, he was staring down a small team of medics he'd allowed into his and his mate's space. "You will address both Soap and I when speaking about our daughter. The moment she begins to fuss, she is to be handed back to her mother. If you so much as hesitate, if you harm my daughter in any way...I will not hesitate to break every single one of your fingers. Do I make myself clear?" The large alpha warned, voice deep and demanding. Simon's deep, whiskey brown eyes dark and narrowed.
A small murmur of "Yes Lieutenant" went through the group of medics before they were allowed into the room with Johnny and Ellie.
Johnny looked up as the door opened, seeing the medics. He instantly held his daughter a bit closer, even though he subconsciously knew they were both safe. "...Dinnae leave the room with her." The Scottish omega said firmly, only allowing the only omega medic of the little group to gently take his newborn...which Johnny was still hesitant to do. Everything in his body, in his instincts was telling him that his pup was healthy, that he shouldn't be allowing strangers to hold her, to see her even. But he knew this was needed.
Ellie, clearly was not happy about any of this. The moment she was moved from Johnny's arms, her little face scrunched up and she whined a bit. The newborn wiggled slightly, her tiny hands curling into fists, every instinct in her little body clearly screaming that she needed to get back to mama, that whoever holding and handling her sure as hell wasn't her mama.
The medic, quickly as possible, got the tiny infant into a diaper, and got her umbilical stump clipped off. "...She needs to be weighed." The medic said nervously, glancing at Simon, watching the lieutenants eyes harden instantly.
"You do it in here, or you don't do it at all. She's not leaving the nesting room till Soap is ready." Simon said firmly, his eyes moving to the other medics, watching as they tended to Johnny.
Johnny looked uncomfortable, the sergeant clearly not enjoying having all these people in his space, touching his baby, or touching him. Johnny looked ready to hiss at one of the medics, as it was made sure of that the after birth had been passed. "...Give me my bairn back." The omega medic quickly handed Ellie back to Johnny, having diapered, looked over, and placed an ankle bracelet on the newborn, stating Ellie's name, weight, and the approximate time she was born.
In the end, the thing that took the longest, was, of course, the paper work....Who knew a newborn could cause so much paperwork that needed to be signed?
-----
Finally, when all was said and done, Simon all but kicked the medics out of the nesting room, and out of his and Johnny's little apartment like barracks. The alpha groused a bit, sniffing the air. Even through his mask, he could smell Johnny's unease, could smell Ellie's fussiness. The smell of other people in his and Johnny's space, on his mate, on his daughter...
Every part of Simon's alpha was growling and snarling. Making his way to the nest, Simon rumbled deeply, gently grabbing Johnny, pulling his mate into his arms. "Fuckin' medics...Smells like antiseptic and those shitty gloves in here now." He said gruffly, pushing his mask up over his mouth and nose. Simon didn't hesitate to lean down, rubbing his cheeks all over Johnny, getting his potent alpha scent all over his mate.
Johnny sighed, but smiled softly. He looked tired now, ready to sleep for a few hours. Holding Ellie, the omega let out a deep purr, leaning into Simon's scenting. Johnny's own scent of milk and fresh snow bloomed in the room, causing Ellie to relax further against his chest. "I ken...dinnae like 'em handlin' Ellie..."
Simon grunted, and shifted a bit. He lifted a hand, pushing his glove down a bit, rubbing his wrist scent glands over Ellie's wisps of downy golden hair, and over her little back, covering the newborn in his scent.
Ellie yawned, the newborn pup snuggled back into Johnny's chest, now wearing a little diaper. With her parents scent's surrounding her, the little newborn was very quickly being soothed to sleep, her eyelids drooping quickly. Simon sighed softly, finally satisfied that his family smelt like him again, smelt like his....
He kissed Johnny's forehead softly, running his fingers through the omega's messy mohawk. "Need to go through everything Price and Gaz bought. Knowing those two, they got her more clothes then we'll know what to do with..."
Johnny smiled tiredly, the exhaustion slowly setting in as he settled in Simon's arms, his hand gently patting Ellie's diapered bottom. "I jus' ken Price bought somethin' with a sayin' about grandda..." The omega said with a quiet laugh. "Gaz probably got 'er an uncle onesie."
Simon chuckled deeply, lightly tucking Johnny's head under his chin, rumbling deeply. "So...who do you think will cry first when holding her?" He asked, raising an eyebrow under his mask at his mate.
Johnny laughed sleepily, his own eyelids drooping as he looked down at Ellie, the newborn already asleep in his arms over his heart. "Price...my bets ate on Price."
