Work Text:
You were tired of people. You knew it was just you and that your social battery was beyond drained. Finally done with your errands, you went straight to your apartment in the tower. Dropping your bags to the floor, you walked through the apartment to lay on the couch.
“JARVIS,” you called out, “enter social recharge mode, please.”
“Certainly miss,” JARVIS’ robotic voice responded. “Locking the door for people, dimming lights, and turning on the heat.”
You sighed, grateful JARVIS could lock everyone else out of your room. You didn’t want to be bothered by anyone, ready to just wrap yourself in a blanket and nap. You toed off your shoes as you wrapped a blanket around your shoulders. The softness of the blanket was all you wanted to be aware of as you laid on the couch. With a yawn, you stretched out to hide from the rest of the world.

The sound of the front door opening and closing roused you from your nap.
“Hi Loki,” you sighed out.
“Hello darling,” Loki’s voice approached you.
You opened the blanket up, “Join me.”
You felt the couch dip beside you as Loki sat down. He wrapped his arms around you, lifting you briefly to rest you on him. You closed the blanket around the two of you. Loki lightly rubbed your back, lulling you closer to sleep once more.
“How was your day?” You mumbled against his neck.
Loki quietly hummed, “It was busy. I had to attend meetings with Thor for most of the day. How was your day?”
“I hate people,” you grumbled.
“Oh?” Loki chuckled at your response. “Shall I leave you alone then?”
“No,” you whined, holding onto Loki tighter. “You don’t count as people.”
“What?”
“You don’t count as people. People get on my nerves. You could never, so you aren’t people. Like how I’m not people.”
“I see.”
You nodded against him.
“Who else is in this category of non-person?”
“Nobody. Just us.”
Loki kissed the crown of your head. You slowly relaxed further against him, enjoying his presence. The steady rise and fall of Loki’s chest beneath you was slowly rocking you to sleep.
