Work Text:
“Holy shit Nancy, you beat them!” she hears Steve say a few steps away, she's exhausted, she wants to throw up.
Nancy doesn't answer. Her ears are ringing slightly, she has a headache and she is very aware that her t-shirt was in tatters, these critters had tried to attack Holly, she wasn't allowing that.
Robin was at her side, taking off her black jacket and wrapping it around Nancy's shoulders.
this close contact made both girls blush, Nancy hugged the fabric against her and silently thanked Robin but could not take her eyes off her, she was grateful that the cold did not seep into Robin's thick jacket.
“Thank you…Robin.” she mutters. Her voice is hoarse and quiet, her voice was shaking a little, Robin had wet hair, it had been raining, and now she was covering Nancy.
“Don’t thank me, you just saved the day!” Robin laughed, it seemed a little painful, but her laugh was sincere, she ran her thumb over Robin's cheek, a deep but small cut. she looks away as a smile grows on her face. She feels a little embarrassed. A few seconds later, she turns around to see Robin mirroring the same expression, looking down at her feet. Then at the same moment she looks up and Nancy unconsciously extends her little finger towards Robin's hand, she touches her and Robin freezes but slides her little finger against Nancy's and doesn't let go until she reaches her house.
