Chapter Text
Suddenly, the heros parry changed. The king barely able to dodge as a halberd swept from his left. The change from sword to halberd was swift. The king barely got a glimpse of the blue magic that supplied such easy change of weaponry. The change followed a smooth rotation: spear, sword, halberd, broadsword, trident.
Despite the new attacks, the battle had yet to slow. It was during a shift in weapons that first blood had been drawn. The king had brought his blade to a jab as a broadsword had begun to materialize. The hero's mask had taken a crack as the hero attempted to dodge.
The hero made a few quick jumps back. The hero's contempt for the damage was evident in his stance. The king could only get a cursory glance at the red beginning to seep from the cut before another strike was made.
