The Dragon Formula

Chapter 28: Epilogue

Chapter Text

Ruby Rose

"Wait! This so isn't fair!"

"Says the Dragon!"

"Yang wait! Wait Wait Wait!" Another burning fist scorched the air next to Ruby as she barely dodged out of the way. She let out a deep exhale as she leaped back. "Why do you get to use weapons?"

"Cause, you're stronger than me!" Yang gave an evil grin while she held her hands up in a boxer's stance, recharging her gauntlets with fresh Mana.

"Not while you're in your half form!"

"Then why don't you transform too?" Yang teased.

Ruby let out a groan of annoyance before trying to replicate Yang's stance, though she got the impression that it wasn't exactly right.

"Yang? Maybe this isn't the best idea..." Blake's words from the sideline were Ruby's only hope to not receive a black eye in the next few minutes.

"Its training!"

"Its you trying to punch me in the face!" Ruby whined.

"And you're dodging, therefore, it's training."

"Blaaaake!" Ruby let out another shrill noise and Blake let out a sigh.

"Yang, I don't think Weiss will appreciate you bruising Ruby on their big day."

"Why not? I was bruised for our wedding." Blake's gaze tightened into a glare. "Maybe I shouldn't have brought that up..." Yang sighed and dropped her fists. "Trainings over Rube's! I gotta go calm the wifey!"

"I am calm." Blake said with a not so calm voice.

As Yang walked away, Ruby let out a sigh of relief. Glynda had suggested this, but... Ruby was woefully unprepared for how bad of a teacher Yang was. So far, her ideas for helping Ruby figure out her powers boiled down to just trying to punch her until she accidentally activated her powers to defend.

"It's a miracle Celica can transform..."

"Excuse me Ma'am." Ruby jumped a little and quickly, a maid? And where the hell had she come from? After spending a few weeks in the castle, she had grown to always keep her senses alert for surprises, but... they always still managed to sneak past her.

Her natural senses had improved dramatically since becoming a Dragon, yet they always managed to avoid detection no matter what. Ruby was convinced it was magic.

"Oh! Hi!" Ruby gave a goofy smile, and it only served to make the woman uncomfortable. It was most likely a far cry from any of the reactions she got from Weiss or her father before her.

"Your guest has arrived. She awaits you in the garden." Crap! Ruby had completely forgotten about that!

"T-Thank you!" Ruby called out as she took off down the hall, leaving the training room behind in the distance as she tried to pick up speed. "Wait, shoot... no running in the hall..." She dropped to a walking pace and quickly realised it would take ages to get there just walking.

Her eyes tightened in concentration as she focused... the power was there... she just had to access it. Her hands clenched tightly as she slowly worked her Mana through her soul.

"Come on... come on...!" Her hand shattered into Rose petals before the rest of her body followed. The sentient cloud then shot down the hallway, flying around corners and past furniture, moving over everyone walking through them. It was a bit of a loophole Ruby had found in the few of Weiss's rules about proper etiquette that Ruby had learnt.

She wasn't running in the halls, she was flying through them!

Plus, it barely produced any wind, so she wasn't damaging anything decorative lining the somehow endless walls.

Ruby searched for... maybe five minutes before deciding that she had no clue where the garden was. With a mental sigh, the cloud of rose petals sought out the nearest open window.

Soaring through the opening, Ruby was greeted with a drop that would definitely kill a human below her, luckily her concentration was keeping up with her this time! She immediately flew up, soaring around the outside of the castle before finding her destination.

Her rising form immediately turned and headed down to the garden from the outside, and most likely the opposite direction she was expected to come from.

"And now, to gracefully land-"

She 'landed' in the gardens with an 'oof!', having reformed from the petals a bit too early and slamming into the ground before she got the chance to slow down. She let out a groan as she rolled over and stood, brushing her clothes off with a sigh.

"Ten out of ten landing. Though, I'm surprised you came from outside the castle." Ruby winced as she heard the old woman's voice, moving over to the covered area with tea and snacks already set out.

"I swear everyone in this castle is faster than me." She sat with another small sigh and immediately poured herself a cup of tea, to which the servant waiting on them had a mini panic attack about. It was only made worse when Ruby tried to apologise.

"You're really bad at this, you know." Maria commented with a big smile, probably the biggest Ruby had seen on her.

"Yeah... honestly I thought I'd gotten used to being taken care of by Penny but..."

"Work and play are different?"

Ruby shrugged. "I feel like being fancy is more work..."

"Only you could prefer toiling away at the Dragon Formula to being doted on by both the Princess and all her servants. Though, by the end of today, they'll be your servants too." Ruby nearly groaned.

"Maybe I can order you guys not to always be at my beck and call." She had turned to the girl helping them, and she froze with fear the second Ruby had addressed her. Maria let out a sigh and shook her head.

"Ruby, come now. I believe the Princess would have taught you better than that." She had, but... just ignoring that they were there? It was weird... she understood if it was to make sure they weren't interrupting anything important but... it all just felt weird.

"I know... I know..." Ruby turned back to the table and sighed. She grabbed one of the cookies and took a munch out of it, that much she at least knew she was allowed to do.

"So. Nervous about your wedding night?" Ruby let out a violent coughing fit, having taken a sip of her drink at the exact moment Maria had spoken. "That is why you invited me here, right?"

"W-what? N-no! I..." Ruby turned away with a bright blush. "Not about that..."

"Then why? I enjoy the company girly, but I have to say I'm confused."

"I wanted to ask you about what you told me before... about how I'd be different after I became a Dragon."

"Oh. What about it?"

"I don't... feel... different. Sure, I know my personality changes a bit when I transform, but... is that really what you meant?"

"You didn't change much, not enough for it to matter. Once your mind was aware it would change, it was able to protect itself from the full effects of it." Maria took a small sip and Ruby tilted her head.

"So I was worried about nothing?"

"If you hadn't been worried, you wouldn't have resisted it."

Ruby mulled that over.

"So you tricked me... in order to help me? Wow... add one more to the list... you helped me in more ways than you know that day."

"Really? I'm plenty sure I gave you all the help I could." Ruby eyed Maria... how much of what she said had achieved their intended results…? "Now, I did want to ask you something as well."

Ruby tilted her head. "Sure, what's up?"

"Truly, you speak like you're about to become a Queen." Ruby blushed in embarrassment. "Your workshop... what has become of it?"

"Oh... is that it?"

"It's destroyed." Maria seemed to freeze at that, so Ruby elaborated. "I apparently did a good job of destroying the place myself when I transformed... but afterwards, Yang scorched the whole thing. It may as well be a ruin with no history now."

"But... your research...?" Ruby smiled and tapped the side of her head.

"Remembering five words isn't too hard, especially when I've spent so long trying to get them... everything else? It didn't matter. No one could use any of it to get the Formula anyway, but I asked Yang a long time ago to destroy it if I didn't get the chance." She was glad her sister had actually followed through with that.

Maria smirked.

"Clever girl." Ruby smiled at the praise.

"Ruby?" That voice!

Ruby turned quickly, and her expression lit up even more.

"Weiss!" She sprung from her seat and nearly dashed over, but kept her feet planted when she realised the princess had company.

"It seems you're not the only one who enjoys talking in the garden, Your majesty." Ozpin gave a small chuckle and moved to sit at the table, glancing at Maria and nodding.

"Until that council chamber is torn apart and remade, I'll not spend a single meeting in there." Weiss practically growled as she followed, her expression and voice softening when she arrived at Ruby. "I'm sorry for interrupting you and your guest."

"No, no! It's fine. I'm sure your business Is more important than mine anyway." Ruby let out an awkward chuckle, and Maria let out a scoff as she stood.

"You sure know how to treat a guest girly." Ruby winced at that, and Weiss sighed as Maria slowly walked away. Ruby caught up with her quickly and spoke again.

"I'm sorry i-"

"Ruby relax. I'm messing with you, girl." She poked Ruby's stomach with the end of her cane and chuckled. "Keep in touch, Rose Dragon." She waved as she shambled out of the garden, a butler meeting her at the door to show her to the castle entrance.

Ruby headed back to Weiss with an awkward smile.

"Perhaps I should get an etiquette tutor for you as well..." She thought out loud, Ruby didn't see it, but she knew Ozpin was nodding from behind her at his seat.

"Wait 'as well'? What tutor do I have currently?"

"Glynda will be tutoring you on magic beginning after the wedding." Ozpin helpfully cut in as Ruby moved closer.

"You'll need to at least know the basics before you can become a Hunter." Weiss gave her a small kiss on the cheek as she stepped past her, sitting down at her usual spot.

"Should I...-?" Ruby had turned to leave, but Weiss shook her head.

"No. Join us please." She didn't need any more instruction than that, happily sitting next to her soon-to-be wife.

"Well, what is this meeting about, your highness?"

"I remain the Crown Princess of Vale... So when Ruby and I wed, I will be the ruler of Vale. My father has not prepared me for this position...and I know he'll seek to tutor me, but I'd ask for your instruction as well." Ozpin raised an eyebrow In surprise. "You peacefully surrendered your kingdom in order to prevent the loss of further life, I'd prefer to be a leader more akin to you than my father."

"He did a pretty good job with Whitley..." Ruby mumbled.

"Ruby." The girl in question let out a little squeak as Weiss turned to her.

"I should've been quiet."

"You will be the Queen Consort once we marry. Your opinion carries weight and your words power. If you speak, do not do so quietly." Weiss's authoritative voice disappeared as she leaned over. "Besides, it was a good point." One of Ruby's new favourite things was when Weiss kissed her cheek... though she hadn't managed to get one of those elusive proper kisses since there first...

"You two are quite adorable." Ozpin chuckled and Ruby grumbled.

"Ms Goodwitch said the same thing."

"Call her 'Glynda'."

"Yeah, I'm not gonna do that."

Weiss let out a small giggle before continuing. "Ruby is right in that my father did a surprisingly good job of educating my brother... but I believe that was more thanks to my brother's character than my father's council."

"I'd be more than happy to help advise you." Ozpin held a small smirk, and Weiss didn't even blink.

"Yes, good. After I've been fully educated, I expect you to continue as one of my more trusted advisors."

Ozpin was a bit surprised at first, but he took the information in stride. "Can I ask who exactly your council will consist of?"

"Yourself, Oobleck, a representative from the Arc family, and Ruby. That's the list so far, anyway."

"The current patriarch of the Arc house didn't take as kindly to the wedding being called off as his son, I take it?" Weiss shook her head. "Ah, but you're missing a Royal Wizard."

"I was hoping Glynda could stand in until Ruby was trained."

"What?"

"Huh...?" Ruby wasn't very good at magic. Sure, she had incredible raw talent in the Technical field, but practically no training or practice in anything that didn't have to do with her research.

"Until you're fully trained, I don't expect you to attend every meeting. You should have plenty of time for missions between your Tutoring, and once that has finished, it should free up time to still be a Hunter while consistently attending meetings."

"But... why me over Good-" A glance from Ozpin made her rephrase. "-Glynda?"

"Ms Rose. You're a Dragon, and you have a double Silver eyed Affinity. Not to mention, there is no question of where your loyalty lies." Ruby tilted her head at Ozpins words.

"Glynda is loyal to you, isn't she?" He nodded, and Ruby was confused for a moment. "... And aren't you loyal to Weiss...?"

The princess let out a small sigh and reached over, patting Ruby on the head for a moment.

"What?"

"At least she's cute, your highness." Ozpin took a sip from his drink.

"She's more than cute enough." Weiss joined him in taking a sip from her drink.

"What?"

"Take deep breaths... you got this..."

How was this the most stressful thing she'd ever done?

"And you're sure I can't be transformed for the ceremony...?" She could use the confidence boost.

"Tell you what Rube's, transform first, then try and convince Weiss it's a good idea." She let out a small groan.

"I just... there's gonna be so many people out there..."

"And? Ruby, Weiss, is doing the whole walking down the aisle thing. Trust me, that will take the attention away from you." Yang's attempts at calming her down were appreciated... but ultimately unsuccessful.

"If you want, I could use magic and make you blind for the ceremony." Blake's attempts weren't exactly much better.

"No way...! I want to see Weiss in the wedding dress..." Ruby's grumbles stopped for a moment. "Wait, can you actually do that?" The faunas girl gave a simple smirk in response, and Ruby sighed.

She turned back to the mirrors in front of her. Weiss had given her a choice between a dress and a suit today, but... she wasn't sure if she had chosen right. The poofy white dress looked so foreign on her...

"I can't wear my cloak either..."

Weiss had actually told her to wear it, but Ruby knew it would just get in the way. She could go without it for now... but she was definitely planning on wearing it again once they reached the reception.

The dressing room was quite nice. The sunlight was like a waterfall, flowing in through the one open window. The snow outside was melting, and she knew that it was cold, but... she didn't feel it. She felt... warm? No... that wasn't right.

Maybe it was a Dragon thing.

"You have no reason to be nervous, Ruby." Blake had stood and joined her, looking into the reflection with a soft smile. "The only one that should matter to you out there is Weiss. Everyone else? Who cares what they think." Easier said then done...

Yang joined next on the opposite side of Ruby.

"Trust me Rube's. Weddings are easy. Maybe you'll stress for a little bit... but once you see her?" She had turned to stare into Blake's eyes. "Nothing else will matter."

Finally.

Some advice that made sense to Ruby.

Weiss Schnee

She had been here before... but everything was so beautifully different.

The world felt right.

Her eyes were filled with life.

Her blush was from excitement rather than make up.

She was ready... she was keen. Today would happen and no one could take it away from her.

She heard a knock on the dressing room door, but didn't turn as it opened.

"Weiss? Oh. You look lovely, Sister." Winter stepped in with a small smile of her own, approaching Weiss and joining her in staring into the mirror. "But you know, usually the dress is meant to be white."

"I know." Weiss ran her hands down her flowing silver dress. "I just prefer this colour."

"No one says no to the bride, huh?"

"Ruby is the bride too, you know."

"While that is true, if one of you had to be called the bride, it would be you." Weiss snorted at that. "What? It's true. She burst into your last wedding like some kind of ogre and rescued you like the princess you are." Winter's smile grew as Weiss started laughing.

"I'm going to tell her you said that."

"As long as she knows it made you laugh, I'm sure she'd thank me for it." Winter gave Weiss one of their usual awkward hugs. "It's one of the reasons I approve of her so much."

"That... means a lot to me, Winter."

"Are you ready for this?"

"I'm more than ready." They were going to have to fight to make her not sprint down the aisle.

A soft piano filled the cathedral as she stepped through the doors, and everyone stood to look at her. She glanced up to her left and found that the window Ruby had destroyed was fully repaired, leaving no traces of the event.

"And yet it will always live in my memory."

She turned to the altar and began walking towards her future, with her past walking along with her, his arm looped with hers. It was odd, the last time her father walked her down this aisle, she felt like his prisoner... but now?

"So when will we receive it?" His whisper was a mixture of venom and caution.

"You won't. Ruby will keep the Formula to herself. If we choose to allow you to become a Dragon, she will cast the ritual. You will never hear a single Phrase of it." Her own whisper was confident, she knew he couldn't hurt her anymore.

"What of Whitley?"

"Ruby will perform the ritual on him once he has reached adulthood. That way, he only has to wait a few years before having an adult Mana pool, rather than decades." Her father simply grunted at that.

"You beat me. For what it's worth, I am proud that my children have risen above me. Go and claim your prize." It was perhaps the closest her father would ever come to saying 'I'm proud of you' or 'I love you'. But, Weiss basked in it all the same.

Victory didn't feel as good until your opponent admitted defeat.

He let her go as they reached the end of the aisle. Ruby had looked worried the whole time that Weiss had been next to her father, but could finally relax as she stepped up in front of her.

Weiss stared into those Silver pearls... and she had to fight off her tears.

"Hi." Ruby's voice was barely a whisper.

"Hi." Weiss's was somehow quieter.

Once again, she failed to hear a single word of the priest's speech. All of it inconsequential to her compared to the girl standing before her, well, until he started saying a certain line.

"-Should anyone present know of any reason-" Weiss cut him off with a sudden glare, and he coughed into his hand, skipping over that whole section and continuing afterwards.

With her sight now returned to Ruby, she noticed her bride to be was barely containing her laughter at the whole exchange.

"Winter was right. I'd do anything to make her happy, too."

"Ruby Rose. Weiss Schnee. The World bears witness to your union, and blesses it with all of its grace.-" Oh, he was doing the fancy religious finisher this time...? Weiss nearly snorted. He was only doing it because he couldn't say 'I pronounce you wife and wife'. "Do you swear to the people present, and to the World that blesses us with Mana, that you will tie your souls and never stray from one another?"

"I do." They spoke at the same time, Weiss wasn't sure if Ruby had actually known that's what she was meant to do, but it didn't matter.

"Before the eyes of the World, you are now forever joined in the connection of your souls. You may seal your promise with a kiss."

They leaned forward at the same time. This would be their second kiss.

The first one had been a goodbye of sorts... Weiss had rushed it, trying to savour the feeling of something she was sure she'd never get to experience again...

How fitting that their second kiss was a sealing of their promise to be together forever?

Ruby Schnee

"Heyy! There's the happy couple!"

"Oh god why..."

Qrow was already drunk... the reception had barely just started!

Well, that's how it felt anyway. Ruby and Weiss were seated at a table that felt more like a stage than anything else. It was actually a pretty long table. To Ruby's right sat Yang and Blake, apparently Sun and Celica were at Tai's table. To Weiss's left was Winter, then Whitley. Ruby wasn't sure where the King or his wife were. She felt nervous with every action she took, and people had lined up to congratulate them personally.

Weiss would be officially coronated tomorrow as Queen of Vale, but by now everyone knew it was only a formality, so everyone trying to get into her good books were already congratulating her as-

"Your Highness, Queen Weiss Schnee. Congratulations on your wedding." Ruby turned to the woman in front of them, Qrow was at a different table a fair distance from them, but there was a clear line of sight. He was seated with Tai and the rest of the kids... including Caitlyn...

The woman was... huh. She recognised her... this was-

"Emerald, wasn't it? Thank you for attending our wedding." Weiss gave a small nod of courtesy and Emerald bowed.

"I wasn't aware you knew me, Your Highness."

"I was present during the Hunter's exam you took part in." Ruby had been pretty quiet considering she had also been married today... she just supposed all the big shots of Vale wanted to get into Weiss's good books over hers. "I was there to witness Ruby's test."

"Ah, yes." Emerald turned to Ruby now. "I must thank you again for your help during the written exam." Ruby suppressed a groan.

"You're welcome, but I actually didn't mean to help anyone."

"Not only a genius, but a modest one at that." She gave a small nod and turned back to Weiss.

"I suppose I should introduce myself properly. My name is Emerald Sustrai.-" Sustrai...? Even Ruby knew that name, they were probably the biggest Vampire clan in all of Remnant. "I am your brother's Fiancé." Weiss blinked for a moment and then nodded carefully.

"I see." They exchanged some pleasantries before Emerald took her leave, and Ruby leaned in to whisper to Weiss almost immediately.

"She looks too old for your brother, even if they were both human."

"She's probably at least ten times Whitley's age..."

"How old is Whitley anyway...?"

"Sixteen." Ruby returned to sitting up properly and let out a small shudder. "Agreed."

"Whatcha guys talking about?" Yang had leaned over to Ruby and elbowed her gently. Ruby let out a small noise of annoyance before Blake tugged Yang back by the ear.

Ruby sighed and reached for her glass, downing a surprising amount of it in one go. The second it hit the table again, someone had approached and refilled it, leaving without a word.

"Damn that's cool... I'm jealous." Yang slumped a bit and Ruby raised an eyebrow, glancing over and noticing something...

"Yang... are you drinking water?"

"Yeah?"

That caused even Weiss to lean over curiously. "Why?"

"Oh. I'm pregnant."

"...what." Ruby stared at her with a stunned expression, and from the lack of response from Weiss, it seemed she was also just as shocked.

"Yeah, Blake and I started trying like a week ago." Yang's comment was spoken completely casually, but that only left Ruby more confused.

"And you're already...?"

"You don't know how babies are made, do you, Ruby?" Yang said it with such a teasing voice that it caused both Brides to start blushing.

"I... I know." Ruby's hesitancy wasn't doing her any favours.

"Well, you see Rube's. When two people love each other very much, they cast a ritual around their bed, then bone." The way she said that gave Ruby whiplash.

"Wait a ritual?"

Blake decided to chime in now. "It was originally designed to guarantee fertility rates for couples, but as a side effect it can also allow two women to have a child."

"Or two men, but that is not a pretty process." Both Yang and Ruby shuddered at the blondes words.

"You and my sister will have to use that ritual Ruby." Winter's words were less important than the fact that she had heard the conversation...

"Ooooh yeah! So is that happening tonight?" Yang's teasing was going to kill either Ruby or Weiss, and it was probably a tough call about who would go down first.

"I... we haven't... discussed-" Weiss was cut off when Ruby downed her whole drink, and actually stuck the glass out for once, asking for a refill.

"I have not drunk enough for this conversation."

Pyrrha Nikos

"How is it possible that he got this drunk?"

"I honestly do not know..."

Both Pyrrha, and Penny, were currently healing the drunken Harbinger. Somehow, the man was so intoxicated that even with all of his training, he was having a hard time keeping his soul from accessing Death's Mana.

Finally, he sobered, and the girls let out a breath of relief.

"Thank you girls... I'm so sorry about him." Tai looked incredibly embarrassed at the situation. He had practically run around the reception looking for people that could sober Qrow up, and he was lucky he found both of them.

"It's no worries, friend!"

"It's fine, truly." Pyrrha looked away.

"It was either this, or keep trying and failing to ask Jaune for a dance..."

"Pyyyyrrrrhaaa!" The Amazon let out an 'oof' as something slammed into her side. Looking over, she found the red haired bride clutching her from the side. "Hi!"

"Hello, Ruby... what are you doing?"

"You're so nice, Pyrrha…! You saved my... you saved my mum!" Ruby let out a hiccup and Pyrrha was left incredibly confused.

"Ruby, I saved your sister-"

"Details, details...!" Ruby waved it off and let her go, wobbling for a moment before standing up straight.

"Ruby... how much have you had to drink...?" Penny's words were slow and careful, and Ruby simply held up her fist.

"This much!" It did not clarify anything. "Hey Pyrrha! Who would win if you and Uncle Bird fought?"

"Bird?"

"Who?" Pyrrha took a step back as Ruby grew closer, and she glanced around in panic.

"Well... your Uncle has much more Mana than I do, so-" She was interrupted by the man in question.

"Depends. If we were fighting in the middle of the forest, I'd win. Anywhere with civilians and I'd have to be careful not to attract Grimm, so she'd probably win." Qrow let out a groan as he sat up more in his chair, and he waved Ruby over, to which the girl quickly approached.

With a poke on the forehead, Pyrrha felt a surge of magic pass from the man and surge into Ruby's soul, before-

A sudden ripping noise filled the air as Ruby was forced into a transformation. Her body grew slightly, and her wings erupted from the back of her dress, one of them wacking Tai in the face and the other narrowly missing Pyrrha.

The half Dragon blinked for a moment, her slitted eyes seemingly focusing on something going on in her head.

"Qrow why did you-?" Pyrrha was interrupted by Ruby suddenly disappearing in a burst of rose petals. She didn't see where exactly she was, but she heard Ruby from another part of the reception.

"Weiss! It's bedtime!" Pyrrha blushed brightly, and one look around showed everyone had the exact same thought.

"She's drunk out of her mind, and her transformation gives her a surge of confidence." Qrow paused to take another drink. "To answer your question? I'm helping my niece get some."

Roman Torchwick

"Well? How'd we go?" His voice was hopeful, but that hope was quickly shattered as the grunt shook his head.

Roman wanted to beat him until he couldn't move... but he kept himself calm, relaxed. He kept all of it in.

"No use wasting men..."

"Roman, Calm down. I'm sure Neo is safe. She's quite unkillable, she's probably just locked up somewhere in Beacon." He turned and glared at the woman. Her red dress practically glowed with hidden power... then again, it was probably magical.

"With a getup like that, I'm surprised you're not at the Royal Wedding."

"Qrow Branwen is attending, if he knows of Neo there's a good chance he knows of me. So I sent someone he might not be aware of." Roman glanced around the warehouse... he knew Mercury was here...

"Oh... she sent the Vampire."

"I'm surprised you managed to keep the White Fang from interrupting the wedding."

"It was less work than you'd expect. The show of power from the Dragon was more than enough to make them cautious, and there are two Harbingers in attendance."

"He usually doesn't listen to reason."

"We have a recording of both of Neo's fights with Qrow Branwen and Pyrrha Nikos. Even if she was unable to win those battles, it was a great method to gauge their strength." Cinder turned as the man in question walked in.

His outfit was pure black, unlike the other members of the White Fang. He also featured red hair that seemed to glow, with two small black horns protruding from within.

"And of course he has his sword on him..."

Roman swore he never let that thing go.

"Adam, welcome. How is our Harbinger of Famine?" Her voice had changed to one softer and more friendly when she spoke to the faunas... it was obvious to at least Torchwick that she was manipulating him.

"Annoyed. We were wrong. The Rose girls workshop was cleared out. It looked like a bomb went off in there."

"Her initial transformation levelled her workshop, but she should have had some research survive the blast."

"It looked like the whole thing had been set on fire afterwards... like someone was cleaning up after her."

"She's a red Dragon, maybe she just breathes fire." Roman's advice wasn't well received by the group.

"She resembles the Rose Dragon that wiped out the Schnee Dragons previously. She has no element. How are your attempts at finding the Formula on your own?"

Adam didn't even answer, he simply walked out again. To which Cinder sighed.

"For all your faults, Roman... at least you're easier to deal with than him."

"So, you really don't have it?" Roman leaned back with a smirk. "That girl got the whole thing in, what, less than a decade? And you're still without one Phrase after thousands of years?"

"I have waited thousands of years, Roman. I can wait a few hundred more if need be. I now know where someone with intact Silver eyes is, I simply have to wait till they present an opportunity for me to acquire the Formula."

"Can you beat a Dragon?"

"I can beat her. But that isn't my plan. Why bother challenging an adult Dragon... when I can wait for a child."
