Chapter Text
Jimin woke up and stretched in the arms of his alpha. He was deliciously sore. His nest was a wreck, again... but he didn't care. He'd gladly let it get wrecked repeatedly as long as he was also destroyed in the process.
It had been over a week. Their heat and rut was finally over. They'd gone at it on just about every surface in the house. The sofa, table, counters, bathtub, shower... Jimin had wanted to do it on the patio when they finally went outside for some fresh air, but they could get fined for that.
Still... it would have been worth it.
He woke Jungkook with kisses along his jawline. His gorgeous doe eyes popped open, and he smiled sleepily, sliding his arms around Jimin and pulling him close. "Still can't believe I get to wake up to your angelic face every morning."
"Me too. You act like I'm not incredibly lucky to have such a handsome, strong alpha." Jimin nipped at his lips. "Not everyone can say their mate risked their lives for them."
Jungkook gave him several pecks on the lips and licked at his mating mark. "I love you."
"I love you, too, sexy. Now..." He reached down and grabbed a handful of muscular ass. "Get up and shower with me. I'm having the cleaning service come in today to ensure this place is scrubbed down. It's pretty bad out there... I hope we aren't always this insatiable."
"I hope we are because I swear to the gods, if you don't let me eat that ass every night, there will be consequences and repercussions."
Jimin cocked an eyebrow. "Oh? Like what?"
"I don't know. Maybe a spanking?"
"Don't threaten me with a good time!" Jimin snickered and shoved him out of the nest. "Up! UP!"
Jungkook stood, then reached back into the nest to grab a giggling Jimin, who was trying to scramble away. He tossed him over his shoulder and carried him into the bathroom.
They were both still naked, so Jungkook just turned on the shower and swatted Jimin's ass when he tried to wiggle free. He set him down and kissed him lovingly under the hot spray.
After Jungkook took him against the shower wall, and Jimin had thoroughly sucked his cock as a reward, Jimin walked out in a bathrobe and checked his phone. It was time to rejoin the rest of the world.
As he was scrolling through pictures and emails from Namjoon, a message from Yoongi popped up.
Jimin smiled. It was actually great. Min Holly had a little friend now, so he wouldn't be so lonely when they were on assignment. Hopefully, Joonie was right, and Tae had imprinted. Yoongi deserved a good, gentle alpha. Heaven knows he's tough enough for the both of them. However, Jimin had a feeling that Tae would prove formidable if provoked.
They packed some food and headed out the door as the cleaning service droids arrived. They began scanning the home and got to work.
They were meeting Namjoon, Hoseok, and Jin at the park. When they arrived, Jin had one of the public grills going in the picnic area. He smiled brightly at them and waved.
Jimin stopped in his tracks as he saw Hoseok sitting on Namjoon's lap at the picnic table. Joonie had his arms around his slender waist and was staring up into his eyes with adoration as they conversed.
Jin waved them over, pointing to a portable cooler. "There are cold drinks in there. Did you bring the stuff I asked for?"
"Yep! Thanks for letting me bring something. I would have felt bad had Joonie foot the bill all alone again." Jimin began unpacking the food.
Jungkook got them both a drink as Jin caught them up a bit. "So, my family was glad to hear from me. They kept the bakery going in my absence and are eager for me to take it back over."
Jimin nibbled on an apple slice. "Are you going to?"
"I haven't decided yet. I'm really enjoying my time here. My boys keep spoiling me so much that I'm reluctant to leave... even if I do think I might be stirring things up a bit." He looked over at Joonie and Hobi as he said this.
"Your... boys?" Jimin smiled, intrigued.
"It's... complicated," Jin smirked.
"Uh-huh. Well, if you ever want someone to talk to about all of this, let me know. I have a good ear and tight lips." Jimin patted his hand.
Jin nodded, and they all talked and caught up a bit. Throughout their time in the park, Jimin caught the little touches and closeness between all three of them. It was pretty clear why it was so complicated. Jin liked both of them, but they each liked him and each other too. Not so complicated. Maybe Jin was worried people would judge them.
He needn't have worried. Jimin loved his friends and had watched them pussyfoot around their feelings for years, never fully admitting to them. The arrival of Jin had apparently been a catalyst for a positive change in their lives.
It didn't seem like a bad thing at all. He hoped Jin's family wouldn't judge or force him to return if that's not where his heart is.
~~~❤️❤️❤️~~~
A few days later, they got a call from the precinct to come down to the station. Jimin and Yoongi were both still on mental health leave. Jimin also had extra time off for being newly mated. It's extremely difficult to be apart from your mate at first, so it was another reason for him to stay home and spoil his alpha.
"Why do we have to go?" Jungkook whined, cuddling with him as he moved around the kitchen. When Jimin stepped, he stepped. Anyone else might find this annoying, but Jimin loved it.
"I don't know. They say it's imperative that I bring you, though."
Jungkook stiffened. "I... I didn't ask them to contact anyone... did they? I guess not... How could they know who to contact without my telling them?"
Jimin shrugged. "I don't know. They wouldn't give me any information."
It took Jimin three hours of sweet reassurances and many, MANY kisses before he would go with him to the precinct. He was extremely nervous.
When he saw the reason it was so important, he wept.
"Gran?!" He ran to hug her and started scenting her, sobbing like a baby. "They told me... they told me they had burned down the house with you inside! I thought all I had left was Uncle Hyun!"
She patted and kissed him, putting her arms around his waist and hugging him as tight as her frail arms could. He was so much taller than her, the top of her head barely passing his chest. She could hardly speak and wobbled a moment as if she might faint, so Jimin grabbed them both and led them to a bench to sit together.
Jimin watched with tears in his eyes as the elderly woman rocked his mate like a child, humming peacefully, and told him she had seen him on television when everyone was looking for the hero who saved Jimin's life. She'd recognized him immediately and come as soon as she could. She then commented on how beautifully he had grown. He told her the better parts of his story, leaving out the horrific events and focusing on how he met Jimin. She smiled warmly at Jimin, then. She walked up and cupped his face, declaring him an angel for saving her grandbaby.
Jimin and Jungkook took her back to their apartment. She sat happily in their humble little home.
"You don't have to go back to your uncle, Koo. You're mated now. You can have my lake house. I never go there anymore, and it's been sitting unused for over two decades with just cleaning and maintenance droids for upkeep. You'll need a nice place to raise a family."
"Gran... I didn't know you had a lake house. Also, I can't own anything. I'm unregistered. Father said long ago that according to their records, I don't exist." He looked away from Jimin regretfully. "I couldn't even properly court my mate. I couldn't give him the gifts I would have liked to."
Jimin smiled at him and rubbed his back soothingly. "You gave me my life, smiles, and love. So much love. I haven't felt a love this pure since I was a child and still trusted the world."
Jimin kissed his cheek and wrapped his arms around his waist. "Whatever you want to do, baby. We can live at the lake house, here, anywhere you want. For me, home is wherever you are."
"You're registered." His gran interrupted the loving moment.
Jungkook paled. "What? ...no, I'm not. Father forbid it! Mother told me they never registered me!"
"Your mother had me register you in secret three days after your birth, Jungkook. She was afraid that your father's stubborn nature would bring about your death. She was registered, too. I had to register her as a baby. That was before resistances began popping up, though I don't think I would have been a part of it even if it had been happening in my youth. My family was always very much by the book."
"Then... why were they killed?" Jungkook's eyes welled with tears.
"Your paternal grandfather was part of a fledgling militia that went after iHEP in the early days. They didn't wish to conform and tried to shut down the mainframe. When they failed, they tried to destroy the entire facility with explosives. The problem was, 98% of the facility was underground and the portion they destroyed was only a decoy. The building was storage and a fake mainframe meant to fool people like him. The humans that originally created iHEP expected it would happen, so they purposefully left breadcrumbs and false clues to follow so that those who opposed would be caught and neutralized. That is when they went into hiding. Your mother was not originally part of their pack, and I never was. They met by chance when his people were traveling through our farmland illegally. She was in the truck with my husband and I when we went out to the place where they were camped. We took them food and water, along with our pack healer and a few others for protection. We didn't know why they were there and assumed there must've been a dire reason."
"Was there? Were they being chased at the time?" Jimin asked as he scented and calmed his mate.
"Yes. Their village was destroyed, and many in their pack were killed. They were still being hunted and often moved from place to place. They said they were normally very careful not to travel on claimed lands, but a flood had washed away our property markers, and we were unaware. Anyway, your parents met, and there was a spark. We allowed them to stay on our lands as long as they needed, as some of their women were pregnant and a few others had been injured. It even turned out that our pack healer knew them well."
Jungkook was wiping his eyes. "How did he know them?"
"Our pack was on friendly terms with all packs in our general region, though we kept to ourselves. It was a pact of sorts that if one needed assistance, we would offer support for things like food, medical supplies, and so on. A few of the packs were without healers and didn't trust the government enough to allow them to send in med droids. We respected and sympathized with them. We didn't like it either, but our head alpha chose to comply. In his words, 'We as humans did our best to destroy this planet and tried to make ourselves feel better by trapping and forcibly breeding endangered species. Now, we are endangered. We can only hope that our rehabilitators and caretakers mean us no harm.' "
"That's... pretty dark. It's good that some humans at least tried to fix the mistakes of others." Jimin was still rubbing Jungkook's back as he took this all in.
"Oh, yes. You're definitely correct. I didn't personally agree with our head alpha, but we would never have gone against him. Things were different back then. People went outside more and co-mingled with other packs, but we also respected the hierarchy. Our healers were allowed the freedom to help others if they so chose, and they often did as long as one stayed behind with our pack every time. They would travel around by transport to some of the packs without healers in our eastern region every month to check on them, bring them medical supplies, and so on. If a woman was close to pupping, he would ask their families to consider coming to our pack temporarily. If they chose not to, he would send his wife or daughter for a time. If they still didn't pup, labor was induced. They were spread pretty thin, but their dedication to healing was incredible and admirable."
Jimin was starting to puzzle things together. "Was this healer's family named Min by chance?"
She sat up straighter. "Why, yes. Healer Min, his wife, and his daughter were our pack healers and midwives. How did you know?"
Jimin smiled. "I just heard a story recently that seems to connect with yours. It sounds like your healer's daughter might be Min Choon-Hee. Mrs. Min is basically my adopted mother now. Her son is my partner on the police force and one of my best friends."
She gasped and cupped his cheeks. "Yes! That's her name! Then you're family even more now! How I long to see her again, and I must meet her son! I think she was just a young girl, thirteen or fourteen when this happened, but that child was sharp! She assisted in her first birth at the age of 10 and acted like an elderly midwife. She was calm, cool, and collected. People called her the 'Little Saint' because she was so stoic and induced calm almost as easily as a full-grown midwife, though she still had yet to even present."
Jimin almost busted out laughing at that. Mrs. Min was definitely not the same now. She was anything but stoic, had the best sense of humor, and had one of the dirtiest minds of anyone he knew. She was glorious.
"Let's arrange a reunion then? I'd love to hear more of your stories, and I think she would love to see you. You didn't part on bad terms, I hope?" Jimin smiled.
"No, we definitely didn't even wish to part. Our pack slowly began to spread out with all of the changes going on. In time, we ceased to really be a pack. With the advancement of med droids and clinics popping up everywhere, there was no longer a need for human healers. Don't get me wrong, human healers do still exist, and each clinic tries to house at least one for those who don't want a droid touching them, but I personally suspect at least some of them are those warm-bodied droids that are indiscernible from humans."
"That feels so wrong. I don't like deception at all." Jimin frowned. "I hope it's not true. If droids have learned to justify deception... that doesn't bode well for the human race."
"Time will tell, child. So, about that lakehouse... Will you accept it as a gift? Koo, I don't want that spoiled brat of an uncle of yours having it. He was always so jealous of your mother. They had an omega war going on for a time. He even tried to steal your father from her. I wanted to disown him then, but your grandfather was adamant that it was natural. Natural, my foot. I know that boy. I raised him. Your grandaddy's first mate died in childbirth, so I stepped in a couple of years later when we met. I loved him like my own, but he was jealous from the moment he found out he would have a half-sibling. I later found a message he had meant to send to his friend saying he would have killed his own sister, given the chance. I showed it to your grandfather, and he agreed to send him away to school instead of sending him to be imprisoned. He sent him off to the college he had always dreamed of attending and bought him a fancy home just so we could have some peace. We did. Your mother lived a humble life, but she was happy, Koo. Until the sins of the Father came back to haunt them. His father's sins, to be precise. That mess with the militia... that was why they were killed. It wasn't because he was unregistered. It was because they came for his father, and he tried to fight them off to save him. Filial piety is a beautiful but deadly thing sometimes. Your mother, she was always at his side. They were so strong and beautiful together." She sighed and sniffed back tears. "They loved the lake house. That's why I want YOU and your lovely mate to have it. Her grandchildren and my great-grandchildren will grow up in the home you should have been raised in. A place where their love took shape. They stayed there for the first year after they mated."
Jungkook smiled softly, a warm glow radiating from him at all of this new knowledge. "I've never even seen the lake house, Gran. Are you sure?"
"I'm positive. It's only right that her legacy lives on in that place. It will give me peace to know she would be happy, seeing you raise a family there." She smiled warmly. "I'm fairly certain you're already with pup." She patted Jimin's hands.
He laughed it off... but had to wonder... He was awfully hungry these days.
***
They made their way out to the lake house the next day, and Jimin's jaw dropped as they pulled in. "This is... this is like a condominium, right? You just have like a flat or something here?"
Gran shook her head. "No, dear, this is the house."
It might as well have been a castle.
Jimin turned to his mate, a worried look in his eyes. "Did you know about this? Did you know it would be this large?"
Jungkook's eyes were wide. "N... No. Gran and I lived in a small house in town for many years. She raised me humble. My uncle is the wealthy one..."
"He isn't wealthy. I am, and my family was. His father came to me without a dime, but I fell in love with his sparkly eyes and sweet charm. I was happy with him. He was a good man. Your uncle, though, he's just a spoiled brat, and his daddy gave him everything he wanted. Although my family was wealthy, I grew up humble and wanted my Koo to be the same, just like his parents. Humility builds character. This is only the south wing, by the way. The house is shaped like a T. The east and west wings are about the same size." Gran smacked her gums and cackled, getting out of the car to shuffle up the path.
Jimin almost fainted.
~~~❤️❤️❤️~~~
6 months later...
"JIMIN-SSI!"
Jimin rolled his eyes, and Yoongi giggled. "Your Viking doth bellow for you."
"I swear to god... we've been mated for half a year, and he still calls me that constantly, like I'm some stranger." Jimin picked up the bowl of fruit salad and waddled out of the glass doors that led to the backyard.
"Only when he is either very mad, very worried, or very playful... all of which are pretty amusing for the rest of us." Yoongi laughed.
As Yoongi and Jimin made their way down the path toward the deck where the family was gathered, a very wet Jungkook wearing cutoff jeans came running up the path. Jimin stiffened, and Yoongi quickly snatched the fruit salad from his hands. Jungkook swooped him up and ran out towards the lake.
Jimin was squealing. "NO! PUT ME DOWN! JUNGKOOKIE! DO NOT!!! YOONGI HELP ME!!! NOOOOOO!"
*SPLASH*
Jungkook had run off the pier, cannonballing into the lake with Jimin flailing in his arms. Now, they were both soaked and sputtering. Jimin wrapped his arms and legs around his alpha. "Jeon Jungkook! I'm going to kick your butt for that!"
He raised an eyebrow. "Oh yeah? Well, I'd like to see you try. You can barely hold onto me right now with that belly of yours so pretty and round. I don't think you can even lift your leg that high."
"Just wait until the twins are born! I'm going to get soooo much payback!" Jimin groused.
"I doubt it. You'll be too tired to chase me with two little ones to look after, and I'm pretty fast." He kissed his perfect little nose.
Jimin narrowed his eyes. "Yes, well... I know where you sleep."
Jungkook laughed. "Baby, I'll be too tired as well. I promise I'll be the best dad and mate I can be for you and our pups. You won't be the only one waking up in the middle of the night to tend to them when they need it. I'm going to insist on changing diapers, late-night feedings, and everything else there is to worry about. I never thought I would even have a family of my own. I want the full experience of being a good father and a proper example of what it means to be a good mate."
Jimin kissed him languidly. Their lips slowly devoured each other as they basked in a love that only seemed to grow day by day.
There had been a challenging period, though. All couples have them.
For a while, Jimin had been so self-conscious when he had begun to notice changes in his body. It had crippled their sex life.
He had been putting on weight... stretch marks had begun to appear, but the worst part was when his areolas seemed to expand and grow darker as small breasts began to form. He had cried and cried, refusing to let Jungkook see him naked for at least 2 months.
Jungkook had been feeling unloved at the time, afraid Jimin was drifting away. He'd have been worried Jimin was seeing someone else if they weren't joined at the hip most of the time. He'd started to wonder if Jimin just didn't desire him anymore, and his wolf began moping. They became depressed, and Jungkook was terrified of losing him.
Finally, his wolf had snapped. He demanded his mate and spent an entire evening wooing him and making him fall in love all over again. After a night of feeding him in front of the fire, Jimin tried to slink off to shower alone again, but Jungkook lost it. He kissed him senseless, then held him down and removed his shirt.
Jimin had been trying to cover himself but shuddered as the look in Jungkook's eyes shifted. He had expected disgust. Instead, they burned with lust at the sight of those changes Jimin hated. He had been feral and possessive. Marking him with hickies and sucking greedily on his fattened nipples. He'd licked and kissed every stretch mark, then sucked his cock, ate his ass, and fucked him like a man possessed in every position they could still manage with Jimin's protruding belly. He had never felt so sated, both physically and emotionally. He also never doubted Jungkook again. He was fairly certain he would still see him as beautiful when he grew old and lost all of his teeth. Jimin felt the same.
Jungkook was treading water now, kissing his neck.
"We have guests, Bun." Jimin gently reminded.
"Yoongi's mother and Tae's grandmother are not 'guests.' They're family, and everyone else lives here. They don't count." Jungkook blew bubbles on his neck, and Jimin squealed.
It was true. Jungkook's gran had moved in with them to live out the rest of her days with her beloved grandson so she could see her great-grandchildren before moving on to her next great adventure.
Yoongi and Taehyung had quickly agreed to move into the east wing, and Namjoon, Hoseok, and Jin took the west. Relationship-wise, those three were still sort of feeling around what they were, as were Tae and Yoongi. That was okay. There was no rush. They were all just happy to be together. They truly felt like a pack now.
Mrs. Min and Gran had indeed been so overjoyed and cried the first time they saw each other again. Now they were besties. Despite their age difference, they were thick as thieves and meddled playfully in Yoongi's love life. Gran was heavily invested in them becoming an item now, and the addition of Taehyung's grandmother in the mix had made for an older female version of the three musketeers. It was precious to watch their mischief.
"Ya! Jiminie, come out of there! You're supposed to be getting the hwachae ready!" Jin was walking up the pier with a teasing smile on his perfect lips. "I thought you said you weren't going to be swimming today!"
Jimin sputtered. "I... but he... I didn't want to!"
"You're trying to blame Jungkookie again, aishhh, Jiminie just admit you wanted to swim with your half-naked mate. We all understa- wah WAAOOH!"
*SPLASH*
Taehyung stood on the pier, flexing his muscles with a yipping Yeontan and Holly beside him.
"VENGENCE FOR MY SOULMATE! MWAAAHAAHAHA! THOU SHALT NOT PICK ON THE BESTIE!" He shouted and ran back up the pier to Yoongi and Namjoon, who were just laughing and shaking their heads.
Standing on a large rock beside the lake, Hoseok shouted, "I'll save you, hyungie!" Then swung on a rope and let go, flipping over into the air and landing upside down in the lake to the delighted giggles and snorts of everyone watching.
Jimin snickered at the spectacle and then nodded. "I do have to get the hwachae. Do you want to help me?"
Jungkook nodded, and they made their way back to shore. He took the towel held out by Yoongi and wrapped his mate in it, then placed a possessive hand on his pregnant belly. "My beautiful. I fall in love with you more and more every day. Do you know that?"
Jimin pouted his beaky lips cutely as his eyes grew sparkly with emotion. "Aww! I feel the same. I'll never get enough of you. I love you so much."
There was a sudden rustling in the woods nearby. A crashing sound, growls, and a long, continuous series of yelps followed. Jimin jumped, his now milky scent souring in fear. Jungkook moved forward protectively, snarling.
Jimin's eyes went to Yeontan and Holly, who now stood alert on the pier, growling. A small, dark brown blur shot out of the bushes and ran under the deck. They stood confused until a mountain lion bounded out after it. Jungkook growled menacingly as four blades shot out of the knuckles of his cybernetic arm, which was now synthetically skinned and looked like a normal human arm.
The lion seemed to think about tangling with him for a moment, but as Namjoon and Taehyung also moved forward, their eyes glowing gold and green along with Jungkook's red, it decided the brown blur was no longer worth it. It growled and swiped at the air once before turning and bounding back into the woods.
"We'll have to keep a close eye on our furbabies from now on," Namjoon stated.
Gran came forward. "Just mark the area. It'll stay away. I should've had you do that months ago, but I didn't think we had any large predators around. That's how we kept them away in the smaller villages. Never had a single cat or chicken lost to one."
"Mark the area?" Namjoon looked confused.
Yoongi's mom strode up and stood beside her. "Go whip 'em out and pee on the trees. Your alpha scent will keep predators like that away."
All three alphas blushed, and gran cackled.
Jungkook glanced around for his mate. He found him on his hands and knees beside the deck, trying to coax out something with a hot dog.
"Baby! Wait! Get back!" Jungkook ran to him, and Jimin threw him a scowl.
"Shhhh! Move slower. You scared him!"
"What is it?" Taehyung asked with his soothing voice as he got down beside his gentle bestie, peering under the deck. "Oh... hello there, precious. Come out, won't you?"
Jimin broke off a piece of the hot dog and handed it to Tae, who managed to get him to at least poke a little brown and tan snout out to snatch the weiner.
Jimin smiled. "Oh my god, he's so pretty, Jungkookie. Come look!" Jimin backed up and stood as Jungkook knelt beside Taehyung to take his place.
His eyes went soft, and he smiled happily. "Hey, you are a pretty thing. Please come out." He made kissing sounds and rubbed his fingers together. The small brown pup emerged then, keeping low to the ground. His little tail whipped back and forth and preened at Jungkook's attention. Then it wiggled its butt as it licked his face.
"Wow, Jiminie, he didn't even need the hot dog... you have competition." A dripping Hoseok commented as he ran a towel over his hair.
Jimin just laughed. "I may have another baby sooner than expected, that's all. A sweet, four-legged baby to love."
Jungkook picked him up, and the small pup licked his face, whining happily.
"HWACHAE!" A soaking-wet Jin reminded them as he climbed onto the pier, shaking himself off.
Tae ran up again and shoved him right back in. Jin dragged him in with him.
***
Later that night, Jungkook and Jimin were in front of the fire in their bedroom. Jimin was basking, sated in the afterglow. Jungkook was tracing his fingers over Jimin's protruding belly, talking to his unborn pups about building them a playground with uncles Namjoon and Taehyung without the help of Chim or any of the other droids. He wanted their pups to have an old-fashioned place to play outside and enjoy life, but he wanted it to be built by the humans who loved them.
"Baby, do you want to know if they're boys or girls?" Jimin asked, smiling at him.
Jungkook moved his head away from his belly to kiss his lips. "Do you already know?"
"Mrs. Min does. She offered to tell us. She apparently can tell by the scent of the omega carrying them. Same as she knew we were having twins."
Jungkook thought for a moment. "Let's wait. I want to be surprised when they come into the world, just like you. You took me by surprise when I first found you in that arena. Then suddenly, BAM! Just like everything else since we met. It all happened so fast. Everything with us was practically instantaneous. I mean, it took you a few days to convince me that I wouldn't hurt you, but compared to months of courting, it was so fast. You had my heart in an instant. We were free, and I had a little pack in an instant. We were devoted and mated in an instant. We had my gran and a home in an instant. We found our little puppy today, and he became part of our lives in an instant.
"We should call him Bam since he was there in an instant. It kind of represents everything else in our lives. Doesn't it?" Jimin's lips curved up.
Jungkook's eyes crinkled, and he gave him a bunny smile. "Bam. I like that. Bam, it is."
They looked over at the laundry basket where the puppy was lying on a small pile of Jungkook's and Jimin's clothes. It had initially only had some sweaty clothes of Jungkook's, but their puppy seemed unsatisfied until it ran over and snatched up Jimin's sweatshirt from where he had dropped it. He'd dragged it back to the basket and pulled it inside, rolling around until he settled down and passed out. He'd chosen his parents and seemed very happy with his fate.
Jungkook smiled and kissed Jimin on the lips, then on his cute button nose. "I want our pups' entrance into the world to be just as exciting. With such a sweet surprise as their gender, it will only add to that feeling. It's like... an adventure. This whole parenting thing will be an adventure. I can't wait."
Jimin smiled happily. "Me either, Bun. I couldn't ask for a better adventure than raising pups with you."
They held each other close and continued to talk about their dreams. They planned out their future, looking up at the moon from beneath the skylight until they fell asleep. Each was wrapped in the arms of their world, and though they didn't know it, even in their dreams, their souls met and danced together.
