Summary
Following the events of season 1, Graydon and Elora discover they have a connection that will either save the world or doom them all.
—
A heartbeat passes. He inhales deeply, and she can sense his fear, his uncertainty, releasing its grip, a slow uncoiling. She almost startles when his hand reaches out warily, trembling, and brushes a long strand of hair from her face. She keeps herself still, letting him twist her hair loosely around one finger. He pauses there, trapping a copper-red curl in his fist, tethering her. Her eyes fall shut. She imagines she can feel the heat of his skin so close to her cheek. When his hand finally moves away, she barely stops herself from following it.
“Elora?” he asks, softly, almost as if he’s afraid to know the answer.
He studies her, and she lets herself look back at him, his sensitive features, his heavy-lidded eyes. She recalls her dream from earlier, and drops a glance at his mouth, and wonders.
His face falls a little.
“Oh,” he says. “This is a dream.”
And she wakes up.

Notes:
Elora centric, very believable. Some tanthamore moments. Very melancholy tone with some humor thrown in.
