"Stelle..." March whined, as soon as she saw her best friend, "that is most definitely not what I meant when I said you were like a raccoon for your love of trash!!!"
Unfortunately for her, her best friend, dressed up in a really cute black dress and her favourite black boots, but also in black eyeliner, black fur ears and a fuzzy black and grey striped tail, holding a literal trash bag, simply blinked at her, and beelined straight for the kitchen, leaving March staring at who she had been hiding in the doorway behind her.
"Dan Heng!!! You came!!! And you're all dressed up!!!"
Even though the third part of their little trio had been studying hard the last few days, he had clearly set aside some time for dedicating himself to building a beautiful costume for March's animal-themed Halloween party. Dressed up in graceful blue and white robes, he looked like he could have walked straight out an ancient Xianzhou play, but with added pointed ears, majestic dragon horns, and really pretty scales done up in makeup across his face and neck. Those two had definitely met up to do their makeup together without her! So unfair!!!
"March," Dan Heng acknowledged, "Thank you for having us."
"Ugh, don't be so formal, Dan Heng! We've known each other forever! Come on, I want to take photos with you!"
March grabbed her best friend's arm, and yanked him into the building, carelessly slamming the door shut behind him, and dragging him into the party, ignoring his half-hearted complaints.
She herself had dressed up as a bunny, with super soft ears she had found in this one really great costume store, pink kitten heels and gloves, and a pale blue shirt-skirt combo, topped off with a cute little fur trim cape she had found at a thrift store and embroidered herself. It was a super nice costume if she said so herself—and much better than how Himeko and Mr Yang who had literally both just put on a pair of matching cat ears and drawn whiskers on their face! Seriously uncool! Himeko could, of course, pull off anything—just like Stelle, which she greatly envied—but Mr Yang looked so ridiculous! It was totally unfair to not dress up!
Then again, they were Himeko and Mr Yang and how could March ever say anything bad about them? They were the best, quite literally saving her and her best friends, so it was impossible to be mad at them. That didn't mean March wasn't going to drag them into a photoshoot against their will though! If they didn't want to look low-effort in the photos, then they should've planned ahead! It was photo time!
