After everything returned to normal, or a new normal that involved being friends with aliens, Noah finally got to know more about the Autobots. Who they were, where they come from and what exactly they have been doing on Earth for the last 7 years.
Mirage also told him about Bumblebee and his girlfriend. And that’s how Noah meets Charlie. It was really nice to meet another human who not only knew about the aliens, but also repaired one by herself. That’s not the only interesting topic, though. Noah is curious about her relationship with Bee and he can’t help asking a few questions. Obviously not because he himself has a crush on an alien robot twice his size. That would be… super weird, right?
Charlie doesn’t seem to mind. She just smiles knowingly and explains a few things, for example, that for Cybertronians kisses aren’t really the main way of showing affection to your loved one. Which, fair, Noah knows not all the bots have a human-like kind of mouth, so that would make sense. “Wait, then what is?”
“Oh, it’s actually quite cute” she smiles gently and Noah is pretty sure he knows who is the cause of this smile. He follows her line of vision and yep, he’s right. He catches her watching Bee with that warm look in her eyes. “They do this kind of forehead touches” Charlie explains, seemingly not able to turn her gaze away from the yellow autobot, who is currently catching up with Mirage.
Noah freezes, his eyes are now comically wide. “Forehead touches?” he sounds weak and unsure, but his companion is so engrossed in her own thoughts, that she doesn’t notice. “Yeah, just simply touching their foreheads to one another and keeping it like this for a while” the girl explains, her chicks dusted by light blush.
“Right… forehead touches” that makes Charlie turn her head to look at him questioningly, because now he starts to sound like a broken record. Noah is beetroot red on his face, eyes trained on Mirage. She suspected there was something between the two of them. And honestly, it was hard to not make any assumptions, considering how they behave. Also, Noah’s questions… Let’s just say, he isn’t as discreet as he thinks he is. Now she’s not sure if Noah is truly aware of whatever they have going on. At least not to the full extent.
“And they don’t do that with…” his eyes don’t leave the silver and blue Porsche “like just a friend or somethin’?”
“I don’t think so” she shrugs a little. “I mean, it is something really important. And I never saw Bee doing it with anyone els-” before she can finish, she’s interrupted by a quiet groan. Noah puts his face into his hands, muttering to himself “Dios mío, soy un idiota.”
“Uh, you’re alright?”
When Noah looks up at her, he has the face of someone on the verge of a panic attack. “Yeah, just…” he sighs, preparing himself for a sentence he never thought he would say to anybody. “I just realized I may or may not have been having a few alien kind of make-out sessions with my best friend in the last month” he blurts out. He can’t even be mad at Charlie for laughing at that.
Later, when he and Mirage are back home in the garage, Noah not only lets his bot put their foreheads together as usual, but this time Noah is the one to initiate the gentle touch.
