Halbrand pauses, looking flummoxed for a beat. An insane tale of timetravel and genocide, of warring factions including superhuman enemies — and he stumbles over the name of the man to knock her up. “I don’t know. The General, she told me once that he passed away a long time ago—”
“You know what,” Galadriel cuts in, choking. “I—I don’t want to know.”
He falls silent.
