Chapter Text
Getting up early isn’t very hard for me. I’ve been doing it since I was young, a small habit that I haven’t dropped it seems.
The inn I’m staying in isn’t very lively at this time of the day so creeping through hallways to the outside will be a task.
I only took a few things out of my rather small bag, the rest of my stuff is in the cart so I only have a few things to take with me down stairs.
Picking up a green fur lined cape from the wooden stand I make my way through the heavy and old door.
The inn is not in the best condition, probably hasn’t seen soap in a millennia.
The floor boards are bound to creak but my short knight training from my youth has taught me to be almost silent on my feet.
It is a talent I pride myself so you can imagine my annoyance when the last step creaked. Probably not enough to awake anyone but just a dreadful reminder of what I’ve become.
I trained for the first few years of my life as a knight, going to school at the prestigious knight school in L’manburg by scholar ship of course and I even worked closely with Prince Techno at least once. We were friends but many annoying people saw us as a couple.
One night when Prince Techno had convinced me to join him for a midnight spar in the bell tower, I hesitantly agreed. The biggest mistake of my life, while we were fighting it was like something snapped in the Prince, he was out of control, not training to fight and testing out skills but training to kill! He pushed me of the roof and I would have died. That was if not for the gargoyle that I landed on, I probably would have been dead if not for that weird gothic statue.
Unfortunately i had shattered one of the bones in my leg, among with other injuries but they all had mostly healed by my adult life except for a few small scars but that specific leg has made me have a stupid limp ever since, I never betrayed techno though. I never told anyone that he was the reason I was out there, he was the reason I was partially battered in the first place and that HE was the reason I fell.
So yes I got expelled from the school and have had to deal with the useless leg of mine. Luckily the limp has gotten much better. Nearly invisible to the unassuming eye, but the actual strain for it to walk normally is excruciating, it’s well concealed but only to an extent...
Now I am a nobody travelling salesman who goes from a washed up town to the capital.
It has been a few weeks since the Omegan Prince has presented and I hear that alphas are still trying to court the poor thing and the streets are still crowded but I can only hope for safe and clear travelling.
Trudging out the door and into the barn which is frankly in shambles, where I find my trust white steed Spirit I can get ready for the long and cold trip to the capital.

Theseus was having the best dream of his entire life. He dreamt of being in a forest clearing with pine trees surrounding him, cold and freezing wind running down from the mountain and combing through the blond, almost white hair. Snow crunching satisfyingly beneath petite and pale feet and most importantly the silence and serenity, no one breathing over his shoulder to check he hasn't died of being a pathetic omega. He wished he could stay in that dream forever but just as the thought came...
Sleep was practically sacred to the teen but this mostly stemmed from the time when after Queen Kristen does and Prince Wilbur went missing Theseus would often not be able timeless for days and when he did he would shortly wake up after, shaking and crying through hurried and uneven breaths. Those times have made the young Prince learn to treasure family moments and to never take quality time with people for granted but Theseus was ready to mess up whoever decided to fuck up his sleep schedule.
A large weight was flung upon Theseus' chest almost knocking the wind from the once sleeping and calm boy. Eyes shooting open as fast as the shot of a hunting rifle, magnificent blue eyes shrouded with the essence of fear but all was well when a face covered in ginger hair met the eyesight of the terrified Prince.
"Oh my Prime... FUNDY YOU SCARED THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS OUTA ME!!!"
The ginger fox Prince just stared right into my face with amber eyes full of life and mischief and then decided to laugh at Theseus!?!?! His own victim!?!?! This was the last straw as Theseus jumped swiftly out from underneath the silk covers of the overly flamboyant and intricately designed bed and threw himself at the poor pup who was not expecting at all a launch attack!
"FUNDY YOU LITTLE SCOUNDREL!"
A shriek of laughter erupted from the child's mouth with two points of sharp white child fangs were shown and the wrestling between uncle and nephew begun. Grabbing the little ginger spitball was not hard at all and at once Theseus got to work at tickerling the daylights out of the already laughing fox cub.
The two ended up after a while sprawled out either side of the bed still occasionally letting out small laughs while trying to gain breath.
This was a moment to remember but it was definitely ruined when a familiar voice started to laugh from the door frame of my room.
"I trust that Fundy has already done the honour of waking you up Theseus!"
I took his words as a taunt.
Sending a glare Wilbur's way though didn't stop him from stepping closer to my bed also known as my nest.
I guess my motherly instincts didn't even recognise Fundy the pup as an enemy for even a second but Wilbur was no pup and no innocent man.
Him stepping up right to the side of my nest put me on edge I will be honest. I know it shouldn't have been that easy to make me feel all worked up but I did have to suppress a few growls and whispers directed at my brother. He stood right at the edge of the best then grabbed Fundy from my arms and then span him in the flipping air.
My heartbeat stopped for the terror of the moment. What it he dropped Fundy! That would mean Fundy got hurt! I have to get a handle over these instincts and calm down! I trust my brother and I know he would never harm his own son...
Looking at the two laughing and hugging each other is definitely a heart warming scene one as white as the snow surrounding the empire we live in, the other looking like a burning flame, like fire and summer had a child. There was Wilbur with his eyes of winter and then Fundy with the rays of the sun reflecting in his determined gaze. Although they looked like complete polar opposites they still looked so alike aswell. Down to the hair style to the proportions of the face looking so similar they both had the same shapes noses and the eyes were the same size apart.
"That reminds me. Theseus I was told that you should come down for breakfast but I suppose you have missed that by now.... just remember to to go your lessons at 10:00am you forgot last week!"
I rolled my eyes. Always Wilbur to be the prompt and on time second parent! It also sucks that I missed breakfast so I'm going to be hangery all day! I am not in the mood for even just existing today and I don't think anyone can blame me!
