Work Text:
“Look, kids, here’s the secret,” Stan stage-whispered, kneeling to look Dipper and Mabel in the eyes. “What ya gotta do is, when y’see other kids dressed up, go over and make conversation… and borrow some’a their candy when they’re not payin’ attention, yeah? Don’t be too obvious— just reach over like this, and—”
“Stan, no, you’re not teaching them to steal other peoples’ candy,” Ford cut in with an exasperated sigh. “Not only is that stealing from children and therefore immoral, it’s also giving them far too much candy. They’ll already be getting frankly insane amounts, given how they saved the world and all, but more than that? Stanley, you have to draw the line somewhere.”
“Oh, shut it, Sixer. You ‘n' I both know we did all sortsa things like this as kids, you can’t talk,” Stan retorted, grinning. “Plus, don’tcha think they deserve it? As you said, they saved the world,”
“Stanley.”
