Summary
Thomas has been deeply betrayed by Teresa, someone he once trusted and cared for. This betrayal resulted in the recapture of Minho by WICKED. Thomas blames himself for not being able to save Minho and for not seeing through Teresa's lies. He carries the weight of guilt for the deaths of Chuck, Alby, and Winston. Seeking solace, he finds comfort in his friendship with Newt. However, Newt harbors a secret - he has contracted the Flare virus and chooses not to disclose this information to anyone, including Thomas, so as not to burden him further. As they lean on each other to navigate their grief and guilt, they collaborate on a plan to rescue Minho. Throughout this process, Thomas discovers that his feelings for Newt go beyond friendship, causing confusion as he still has lingering feelings for Teresa.
