Chapter Text
The teens all picked a seat in the bed of the truck, Ochako, Izuku and Eijirou were to the right side. Shouto, Kyoka, and Katsuki sat to the left and Momo and Tsuyu sat with their backs to the window.
“Yo what up bros! I am on my way to the camp here on Isla Nublar, and these,” Eijirou panned his phone around at the group, “Are my fellow campers!” he flipped the view, “Everyone say your name and a little fact about yourself.”
The boy pointed his phone towards Izuku, who still seemed a bit queasy. “Uhm, I’m Izuku…” He seemed to try to think of a fact about himself. “Oh, I won this trip ‘cause I was the first to win a game.”
Eijirou pointed the phone towards Momo, “Oh um…I’m Momo. My family owns the farms that supply the meat for the park.” The black haired girl said, her hands folded neatly in her lap.
The phone was pointed to Kyoka next and stayed on her for a few moments before moving to Shouto, as the girl turned away from the camera, a hand raised to hide her face. The red and white haired boy just waved, “I’m Shouto.” Was all he said. He didn’t seem to have much emotion, which Eijirou did not like. Not because he didn’t like the boy or anything, but because who doesn’t show some kind of emotion.
Suddenly there was a clicking sound and rustling in the bushes off to the side. The truck stopped and Eijirou turned his phone off, looking around slightly concerned as the counselors got out of the vehicle.
The two adults crept to the right side of the path they were on, cattle prods at the ready. Hizashi wasn’t sure which way the dino would be coming from, but he stayed alert, not wanting to be caught off guard.
Back in the truck, the kids all waited with baited breath, unsure of what was happening. Some had gotten out of their seats to see where the councilors were going, wanting to keep an eye on them. Suddenly, a tiny dino jumped onto the left side of the truck, just behind Kyoka, and let out a tiny screech. This caused Kyoka to jump from her seat and back up to the two by the window, breathing heavily, a hand clutching her shirt over her heart.
Katsuki jumped away from the tiny thing, a small yelp escaping his lips. He knew his hearing was a bit fucked, but he felt llike he should have heard the little bastard before it even jumped up. He was basically in Eijirou’s lap, sitting between the guys legs, his back to the redhead, one arm over the other boy's knee, and the other hand clutching his shirt over his heart. “What the Fuck is that thing!” He all but yelled.
“A compsognathus, oh wow!” Izuku gasped, amazement clear in his tone and on his face. The little compy jumped from its perch on the side of the truck and into the bed, scaring a few of the kids. Ochako fell over the side of it, her head poking back up after a few seconds. Tsuyu pulled her legs up, her arms wrapping around them. Shouto had moved so he was closer to Tsuyu, and away from the little dino, a slightly scared look in his eyes.
The little door to the bed of the truck was opened, and the compy made a jump for it, only to be caught by Nemuri in a sheet. The kids watched in a small amount of amazment as the creature was put into a cat carrier and put in the back seat of the truck.
“You alright, Ochako?” The woman asked, a kind smile on her face. The brunette nodded, climbing back into the bed of the truck.
“Yeah, it just surprised me.” The teen said, still trying to calm her racing heart. She was okay for the most part, she just kinda jammed one of her fingers when she landed. It’d probably be okay in a few hours.
“There ya go, little guy!” Hizashi said as he closed the back door. “Those guys always find a way to escape their enclosure somehow. Someone probably didn’t put the lock down.” His last bit was a complaint that had gone around a little a few months back. at least they had gotten it before it could do anything more than spook the kids. He glanced at the green haired boy, most of the kids.

The truck pulled up in front of a big tree, it had been made into a giant treehouse for campers. The truck sat idle for only a moment before the engine was cut off and the kids all began to unload from the bed, the counselors getting out from inside with Nemuri just getting off the walkie-talkie.
“Alright kids, up there,” She pointed to the large tree house, “You'll find your rooms, the bathrooms, and the food area, not to mention a cozy outdoor fireplace area, and a sort of living room area off to the side of the food area.” Nemuri explained to the kids, a smile on her face. She hoped they had accommodated all of the kids' needs.
“So, little listeners, go pick out a bunk and settle in! Tomorrow we need to be up and ready to go by 8 AM.” Hizashi exclaimed with a grin. He was excited for the things they had planned for these kids, though he was also just excited to be here. His husband had told him to be careful, not to get attached to the kids, but Hizashi had just waved him off. This was gonna be a good summer experience for these kids.
As this was happening, another truck had pulled up and Nemuri said a few words to the man driving before putting the caged compy in the back. She leaned against the vehicle for a moment, sharing a few words with the man before patting the roof and stepping back, allowing the truck to take off.
“W-wait a second!” Izuku said as he ran over, a hand outstretched. He had wanted to get a closer look at the tiny dino.
Nemuri gave him a curious look, an eyebrow raised. “Yes, what is it?” She asked, a hand on her hip that was cocked to the side.
“I just wanted to get a closer look at it.” The boy told her, a sad sigh leaving him. He knew there would be other chances, but this one had been presented to him on a silver platter. A real compy.
“You'll get to see those little guys another day, kiddo.” Hizashi said, resting a hand on the boy's shoulder. He meant for it to be comforting, but with the way it startled the kid, he guessed it had been the wrong move. “It's bunk picking time! So go do that, and maybe try to make some friends, yeah?” He said gently, taking his hand off Izuku’s shoulder.
With a hand placed on his back, Izuku was led to the little entrance of the tree house, and the adults followed him up. This was going to be a long summer.
