THIS IS JUST A WIP, ILL ADD MORE TO IT LATER
It was like flowers were blooming when Ruby first saw her. Penny Poledina... A name she can't simply forget. The pep in her step, her pretty, fluffy ginger hair, her beautiful green eyes and that signature pink bouncy bow of hers. All of it! Everything she couldn't help get off her mind about Penny. It absolutely mesmerized the girl.
The rest of team RWBY knew of her feelings and attraction towards Penny, but wasn't aware of how she truly felt. And although she tried to hide her feelings from everyone, it wasn't that easy to hide such a thing from other people especially those being members on her own team.
After a few hours had passed, everything seemed fine. The wind was blowing peacefully outside and the beautiful night sky was shining brightly, almost like a diamond.
Yang came and approached Ruby from behind, tapping her shoulder gently. Her younger sister looked at her as her face liit up with delight, inviting her to sit down. "Come! Sit!" Ruby encouraged, patting the ground next to her. The blonde nodded and happily sat down beside her, looking at her with curiosity.
"Hey, Ruby..." Yang said, her voice getting softer now. She didn't want to seem too nosy and only went for a question that wouldn't seem invasive. "What's your opinions on that Penny girl? Y'know the one..."
"Oh...? Penny Poledina?"
Yang nods eagerly, smiling warmly at her.
"She's... Well, she's definitely pretty, I'll say that... Ahaha... And she's really sweet, and nice."
"Mhm. She's a good kid, just like you, Ruby. Maybe you two will be great friends."
Ruby shivered at her last words before she got up and started to walk away.
This is when Yang realized that she may have said the wrong thing.
"Ah... I'm sorry..."
"It's fine, Yang..."
"Is there anything else you like about her? Or just that?" Yang asked, seeming curious and even interested in this crush of hers. Or at least what she believed to be a crush.
She mustered up the courage to ask another question even though she knew it would make her sister feel embarrassed and shut down on her. It was worth a try, knowing it would make her run away.
"So... She, uh... What does she like to do?" The blonde questioned, only saying things that she hopefully thought aould make her more comfortable talking about this.
Ruby started to think as her face was turning red. Yang knew there was something on her mind, except she didn't point it out quite yet. She wanted to take the opportunity to listen to what her little sister had to say first.
"Well... She likes to draw. And..." Ruby went silent after saying this.
Yang's eyebrows raised in curiosity as she looked at Ruby, waiting for an answer. "And?" She repeated back to her.
"It's nothing. That's all you need to know, Yang."
"Ruby..."
"No. It's my business, not yours, Yang..."
"But, don't you-"
"Have a crush? What's it to you?"
"Ruby, if you ever need any relationship advice, you can always come to me..."
"Relationship advice...?"
Ruby laughed at this statement, though her smile soon faded away and her expression looked more serious. Her older sister was appalled at this reaction.
In downtown Va, Ruby was on her way to a store to buy a few things when she saw something that caught her eye... A heart-shaped box with 12 different kinds of chocolates inside! She knew she had to get that for Penny.
Oh wait... Penny's a robot... She can't even eat chocolate, let slone eat actual food or drink water. And liquid would only make her shortcircuit.
Still, it'd be nice to get something for her crush, whether she can eat it or not.
As Ruby entered the store, there were sounds of plenty of bustling customers inside. There she saw a bunch of valentine's goodies, but most of them seemed to be almost gone. That's when she realized she needed to grab anything she had or didn't have on her list now before it was too late.
Gathering up all her desired items, she used the credit card Weiss gifted to her to buy them all.
Afterwards, feeling satisfied with the bags of items she had for herself, her teammates, and Penny, she felt pretty good about her decisions.
"Ooh, I just know they're all gonna love this stuff! Ah, but I do wonder, though... Can Blake eat chocolate? Well, she's still human, but... A cat Faunus... I'm sure she'll be fine! Yeah!" Ruby said to herself, humming a cherry tune while skipping.
Later on, Ruby came back to her team with gifts for them, giving each of them their gift bags which were filled with things she felt they would like, and of course, chocolates!
"Oh! You got me some chocolate, Ruby...?" Weiss asked, looking through more of her gifts. "Ooh! A necklace? Ruby, you shouldn't have... You're too sweet."
Blake searched through hers and found chocolates, but also something inside she'd rather not show and was surprised that her leader even found it in the store.
Yang was the last one in their circle to
Eventually, Penny showed up, practically hovering over Ruby's shoulder as there was an adorable smile on her face. The other girl couldn't help but turn back and jumped slightly, but was relieved to see that it was just Penny and nobody else.
