Remus laughs to himself, “My work is not the most fun I admit, but it’s work, innit?”
Hermione scoffs, “Why spend your life on something if you don’t love it?” she asks, raising an eyebrow.
Remus lets out a breathy laugh, and takes a long sip of his coffee, “It’s not so simple, sweetheart,” he teases, “You work here because you love it?” he challenges, playfully.
Hermione feels her face heat up at the pet name but quickly snaps back to reality, rolling her eyes, “I work here to pay for college, so that I can do something that I love,” she snaps, flashing her teeth in a sarcastic smile.
Remus grins into his coffee, “Quite the firecracker, aren’t you?” he offers.or
Hermione works at a coffee shop as she attends college, one late night, a customer (Remus) comes in and change her life for the better.
